Received a quote for $55 for my iPhone 3G on Oct. 5th. I found a promo code that added an additional $5. If you opt for an Amazon Gift card then an extra $2.75 is yours. I sent out my phone and they agreed on the original quote. My friend also sent her 3GS in and got an additional $44 on top of the $116 they promised her. Easy transaction for the both of us. Keep an eye out for the emails though. My giftcard was floating around in my SPAM box. It was easy to redeem on Amazon since I had other things I wanted to buy. Thanks, Gazelle!
Sent in a flawless condition, unlocked iPhone 5c along with the original charger, headphones, and manuals -- all unused and still shrink wrapped in the original box. Gazelle did the bait and switch (i. E. "We found a scratch so our offer is reduced to 1/2...") Asked to have the phone sent back. And it arrived with the box and accessories missing. (!?) Thanks, jackasses.
Sent in 2 phones, my iPhone 6 outter shell was bent, gazzelle quoted me a price. Shipped my phones an they emailed me, that they were giving me more money then originally quoted. Simple fact, honest company. Will do business in the future.
I've used Gazelle before and never had a problem. This most recent time, I was offered a much higher price than what I eventually was given. It wasn't until I received the confirmation email that I noticed the price was different than what was offered to me. I tried explaining this to Gazelle and they didn't seem to care or make any attempt to reassure me that this was a mistake. I hope this deception isn't happening to others that use this site.
So easy to fill out the information on the website. Instructions were clear and they paid for me to ship my iPhones and ipads to them. They don't pay as much as some other sites but the ease of business makes it more than worth it.
BEWARE!
BEWARE! Bait and Switch. Take multiple photos of your phone, every inch. Take a video of your phone. They found scratches on my phone and adjusted my payment down. Unfortunately I only took two pictures of phone in box (before shipping) and couldn't get a close up of the area to dispute the scratches they found were not there prior to me shipping. In any account the scratches were minimal at best and on the back cover, could probably be buffed out. Doubt they were there since phone has been in OtterBox since I left the store. I used them anyway since adjustment was only $15 (not worth my time). But if they try and change everyone's by $10-$15 it's a pretty large sum.
I would recommend not using as you see by other customers terrible reviews. But if you do, cover yourself.
I had used Gazelle in the past. I had the packing slip ready for the trade-in and my wife shuts down her phone. I asked "Did you turn off Find My Phone? Yes, was the reply."
Not three days later I get a rude email from Gazelle that I had to turn off "Find My Phone" or else I would not get the refund! I was in the middle of a meeting when I got the message and had to scramble to figure out how to "turn off Find My Phone." Thankfully, I had used my iPhone many times and knew what to do.
Regardless, it was rude of Gazelle to be rude and threaten no payment. I waited for confirmation of the turning off "Find My Phone" was successful and it never came.
I had a "broken" iPad mini2 that I decide to sell. What happen is that it was described as "bad" and I was given a quote. I was good with the quote so I decide to go ahread with the transaction.
Shipped it and they send me an email saying the offer was increased since the item is in better condition than described.
That was quite unexpected - as most merchant would simply "keep the difference". So these guys are quite honest and that's very hard to find.
So when I will sell my next device - Gazelle will be my 1st choice.
THEY ARE A SCAM. Really wish i had read reviews before i sent my iphone 4 in. They offered much less than what they had said and so offered to send it back. Well, they sent the phone but kept the box, charger and headphones. So now i get docked money when selling to someone else. It was my mistake to leave in the SIM card (I had completely wiped out phone so thought ok to leave it) and they kept the SIM card so now I cannot unlock the phone. Again, really hurts me selling to another more respected company. THIEVES
Had 2 IPADs for sale, was given a price, followed instruction on return and then received an email stating they found one of the IPads in better condition and I stated and received additional money! Wow, what a great, honest company. I will definitely deal with Gazelle in the future. Its out of the ordinary to be honest now a day so when a company is HONEST, they should be supported. Thank you Gazelle
I was given a written offer for a Macbook computer. They sent me a box to send in my computer. After I mailed the computer (and before they received it), they sent me an email rescinding offer saying there was a computer glitch that offered too much money for the computer and that they would send my computer back to me when they received it. 3 weeks later, I received my computer without the charger that I had also sent in. I sent an email and tried to call asking that my charger also be returned but never got a response! New offer was $300 less than original offer :(
I recently sent in my 16gb white iphone to gazelle.com. They offer me a reasonable price for it at first, a couple of days later the try to low ball me, the worst experience is trying to get them to send my phone back, they say there's no file on record I sent in a phone but I got the box I. D and tracking # but they still can't located my phone. I would never sell/buy also I would never ever ever recommend gazelle.com to anyone not even if they have a broken phone to sell.
Like others found you send in a phone and once they get it, it is a piece of junk. My phone had a hard case and glass screen protector from the very moment I got the phone. I removed them JUST before shipping and wrapped the phone in foam wrap. Now all the sudden it has numerous scratches. Then they tell me it wasn't even the model I claimed I had but their email confirmed the info I sent them. Sent them all the info from the manufacturer and at that time, it was such and such model Iphone. I rejected their offer and it will be sent back. Luckily I had no expense in this ploy.
Gazelle delayed my shipping 3 days after I ordered, another week goes by and they email me again stating my order was back ordered. Another week goes by and my order was automatically canceled. I called support and after an hour on the phone, they have no other phones of the same type in any of the colors, I cant keep my order and wait for one in stock because they automatically canceled it, AND the only compensation they were willing to give me was 20$ off my next purchase HOWEVER I used the first time customer discount for 20$ off ALREADY on my purchase. SO they gave me absolutely nothing because I cant reuse the first time purchase discount anymore. This is such a pathetic business practice to sell stock they don't have then sting you on for 3 weeks just to not give you anything for it.
I am just an average customer. And this
This is the second time I've felt with Gazelle; both buying and and trading in iPhones and I've found them to be easy to deal with and honest in their pricing, selling and trade-in practices. I'd do business with them again without hesitation.
They have easy-to-understand, self-guided instructions on the website, mail you the box to send your phone back in, and you receive a check a few days later! Better than your phone collecting dust in a nightstand
Easy peasy to use, just tell them what you have to sell and you get the packing materials right away. Pack your item, send it back and within days you have your money! I always take it as an Amazon gift card to get it fast and to get EXTRA!
So I bought a iPhone 7 plus red product. I paid for over night, didn't get the phone for two days. Finally got the phone tried to activate it and it had a bad esn. So I contact them asking the inspection process and was told their office is in CA and the phones get inspected somewhere else and they couldn't tell me the process. If I got a phone with a bad esn how many money are there.
I sent a 10/10 condition Google Pixel 7 locked to T-mobile. The offer they gave me was $379. Once they received the device, they rescinded the original offer and gave me an offer of $78 due to: severe scratches and device not being from T-mobile but unlocked! Lol! The device was in immaculate condition and DEFINITELY locked to T-mobile carrier. I declined their offer anr requested my phone back. Hopefully, I receive the phone that I originally sent and not another device. I would rather use backmarket as before I had a carefree experience.
This is my fourth device to sell to Gazelle. The transactions couldn't be any easier or faster. I think they give the best prices as well. I recommend Gazelle to anyone wanting to sell their phone or tablet.
Answer: No experience with that. Experience with their staff and their customer service, don't fo business with them. My phone was returned in October, and I still have not received my refund. They finally sent me an email saying my return was received, in December but tracking showed it received in October, and still no refund.
Answer: I would not buy from or sell to Gazelle regardless of what they claim.
Answer: No! Dishonest! Had to file a dispute with my credit card company tinged my money back and that took 3 months
Gazelle has a rating of 2.3 stars from 1,076 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Gazelle most frequently mention customer service, perfect condition and screen protector. Gazelle ranks 7th among Consignment sites.
