Paid for a game from this website, it then tells you after payment it can take 8 hours for a key. Days passed and still no key, I also contacted support and no reply. If you use the regular subscription, you have no option to cancel it. If you try it from your account page you get an error so you have to use your bank to stop payments. Seems to be ran by kids, avoid at all costs. They simply take your money, and have no idea how to run e-commerce.
Feel free to look at the forums so you know what I mean, full of problems. I later read "Gametap currently holds an 'F' rating—the most negative rating available—from the Better Business Bureau of Metro Atlanta. What a disgrace.
For the love of all that is holy, run as fast and far away from this website as you can. I am not sure if they are just harvesting information or if there is/ever was a legitimate business behind it, but as it currently stands I have ordered 2 hot games from them and received nothing other than wasted time. Now I see why they offer a discount, they know they aren't going to lose any money since they won't give any products out. SCAM!
Ordered software 3 and a half hours ago, still no key, but they have my money. I see that others have waited for more then 8 hours. With computers today there shouldn't be this kind of wait. I hope I do finally get key, but regardless I will go to a reputable site and pay more.
Bought a game for about 10% off the regular price. I thought it was a good deal until I ended up waiting over 12 hours for the key to my game to arrive via email. 12 $#*!ing hours to play I had paid for. I honesty would have paid the $5 extra dollars they saved me to play as soon as I paid them.
Only buy from them if you would like to wait a good day not playing a game you paid for.
They don't make it clear that you won't receive the key immediately until you have already paid. The customer support is slow and nearly non-existant. I have seen CD-Key reselling sites with faster delivery and better service. They say that the validation process won't take more than eight hours (which is already ridiculous as I haven't seen other site with such policy), but you could count yourself lucky if you receive it before ten hours have passed. Just check their customer support forums. People have waited days for their keys, most of them asking for refunds or having to cancel the order directly with their banks because Gametap wouldn't reply.
Do not make business with this site, avoid it. I'm so disappointed that I even registered to this site so I could warn other buyers from these guys.
Get your games from Amazon Digital Service, Steam, GreenManGaming, GameFly, GetGames, Humble Store, GOG... Anywhere but this site.
I bought Farming Simulator 2011 and went through all the processes. I never got a key and when i tried to contact them all they told me was that it had been sent to their team. I never got a reply or key. Then i went online and found a product key. Their site says that after you buy it you don't need a disk. After i put in the code I went to play it but it asked me for a disk. Needless to say i was angry and demanded my money back and told them i would buy it somewhere else. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE! IT REALLY SUCKS!
