I followed the instructions on the third party filter for our ge fridge but after several attempts could not get it to work without leaking all over the fridge. Ended up purchasing a mwf filter from ge and it worked fine.
This review is on my attempt to order a replacement ballast through Freshwater Systems for my Viqua whole house filter. Backstory: I'm regretting my purchase of Viqua model S8Q-WHSC filter. My ballasts tend to go bad, I'm now on my third replacement ballast for S8Q UV light part number BA-ICE-S which has been redesigned and now comes with an 'improved" adapter that, come to find out upon installation attempt, is not compatible with my system. Freshwater does not allow returns on items opened or installed. If items are returned, they are subject to 15% restock fee (plus return shipping). I require ballast BA-ICE-S/BOOT for this system. Freshwater has been unable to provide me with a quote for this unit (it runs about $50 more than adapter-type unit). Fortunately, the ballast-boxes are identical and I was able to swap-out the 'adapter-type' cord on the new unit with the 'boot-type' cord from the old unit, required about 10 mins and a screwdriver. Lesson learned.
Ordering water filters was easy as always.

I met a girl that has a Quick &Hot HC-1300C and the rubber tube was bad. I called the company and I was told I needed 1/2 X 3/8 tubing. I ordered 9 foot of it so she would have extra and we could replace it later. When I got the order, I was given a 5 and a half foot piece and an 18" long piece! I called them up. They were very apologetic and said they would send me out a 4' piece.
When I went to install it, I found it wouldn't fit. It was one size too big. So I call the company back. I was told they don't give sizes and it was my problem. Well I was given the size I needed and I am frustrated with this company. It wasn't a lot of money but they lost my business. I found a better way to replace the tubing.

Although I am still having problems with my GE filter system, I can't blame FreshwaterSysterms. Their customer service was kind and promptly replaced the filters I had initially ordered..

First off, I was sent a totally wrong package... not what I ordered at all... Dumb me, I thought a separate package was on the way... all further I got was this request for rating... Next, the angle stop valve... the instructions say it can be used with 1/2"x1/2" NPS or 3/8"x3/8" compresion. I need the 1/2" hookup and can't seem to find the "Conversion Adapter" as pictured in the instruction paper. (You mis-spelled adapter), kinda' like buying a car that will do 129mph... then the Mfgr says, "Of course, no engine is included with the base package; you must buy our engine package and a separate installation kit for additional cost."

Error was make by the company that resulted in wrong item being sent to me. I called and they apologized but would not immediately sent the item. I was required to repackage, print label and go to a fedx before they would release my paid for item. Not happy they make mistake and I have to jump through hoops before they will send my product. I sent 3 days ago and still waiting for them to deliver. Will not use this company again. Hoping I get what I already paid for.
