I have eaten six of their meals so far (have not tried any of the breakfast ones). I am impressed with the taste, and it is much better than I expected coming from a glorified TV dinner. Almost restaurant quality. Also they are for the most part healthy (some a bit high in sodium). My only issue is the portion sizes. I'm an active guy and I regularly eat more than 400-500 calories in one meal. If they had 50% more food I'd say that would be just about right. But I've supplemented my meals so far with a salad so far and that has worked well.
Freshly dinners are delicious! Great way during this pandemic to enjoy dinner without the fuss. It's nice to take a break from cooking. Meals are tasty and one serving is enough. No going back for seconds when you are trying to lose weight!
I didn't love everything, but I'm a picky eater. I wish the almond chicken had the almonds (or just an addition) on the side so they don't get soggy when you cook it. I'd love a little crunch.
As for the rest I liked some more than others but overall they're very good. I'll try it again. The convenience is awesome and to have something that's not filled with preservatives and fat is GREAT.
So far all meals have been quite tasty, of good quality and value. But the under 500 calorie / low carb choices are limited and I get bored pretty easily so when my taste buds rebel at the sameness, I will need a big break. Also I wish I could select Saturday or Sunday as my delivery day.

We have only had two dinners each but both were excellent. We will try the third one tonight... beef and polenta. I take them out of the package and heat them up in a dinner plate covered with plastic wrap. Just like a gourmet home cooked meal! Wonderful!
I have been wanting to try this meal delivery phenomenon for a while now. I did so much research that my head was dizzy and then I found Freshly. There offering style is exactly what I need. I'm so impressed with the quality each meal. It feels like I am either eating our ever night or more so like having my own private chef!

I have been purchasing Freshly meals for the past year and a half. The sizes are perfect for me and I generally pack some away for lunch the next day. I have tried 3/4 of the meals and have never been let down. There are a lot of choices.
They are always delivered on time and packed beautifully in the boxes. They come fresh and ready to microwave. Very simple preparation.
I would highly recommend Freshly as it is easy, convenient, healthy, tasty and priced just right. ENJOY!

Friday delivery has not arrived. Window is down to about an hour. Typically, order arrives between 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Went on Chat to get an explanation. Chat person provided several points to explain potential issue, which helped. I don't mind if it arrives late, but informed her that I would pitch box into trash if it has been tampered with. From my experience, box of 6 meals is well insulated!

I have not had delivery issues with out meals. That being said, we only tried it for two weeks and cancelled. Somebody's review said restaurant quality? Sad to see the restaurants you're eating at. For us a star above TV dinners. Broccoli was squishy, seasonings were average, quantities are small AND our biggest gripe I guess (yes we know the cost before hand but was hoping the quality was better) is that at 13.37 a meal we can easily go out minutes from our home for 26 dollars for 2.

Good food. Quality ingredients. The reasons for taking away 2 stars is:
1. The majority of the portion sizes are just too small. I know this is a positive for some people but dinners less than 500 or sometimes less than 400 calories are just not enough.
2. The shipping service used is inconsistent at best. At worst you won't get your delivery as scheduled. Freshly makes up for it but we count in it for our meal so it's inconvenient to find other plans.

I have been getting Freshly for over a year now and it just gets better and better. The food is delicious and there is a huge menu to choose from, including vegetarian and seasonal options. Each item has a nutritional content list so if you have dietary restrictions, this will assist you with your selections. I am diabetic so I try to keep my carb count to a minimum, which is easy to do because they offer rice, potato, and pasta alternatives. You can skip weeks easily if you want to without a hassle. Lastly, I love Freshly's earth-friendly packaging; everything is recyclable! I am so happy that I found a meal delivery service that provides fresh food and is a good steward of the environment.

My son has enjoyed the last several weeks of Freshly. He loves the simplicity of fixing the meals. Unfortunately, he cannot afford the luxury of having it every week due to being on SSI. It does not fit his budget unless he saves up.
This concept is especially great for the folks who are disabled and the elderly still living at home that need wholesome food too.

I tried Blue Apron before. It's good but it take a lot of effort and hassles especially for me who doesn't cook regularly. Freshly meals are all delicious all around. It's totally different from any frozen meal. You can still taste the freshness of it. Put it on one of your options.
You guys did not disappoint. I heard that Freshly is a good service overall, but oh my god I can't believe how much time I'm saving throughout the day for meal preparation. On top of that, the quality of the meals is very good, and I love the fact that they go bad pretty soon because this tells me they are indeed made with pure, not processed ingredients. It was very helpful to have this option available, especially during quarantine times. Keep it up and hats off to your chefs and everybody that is involved

I honestly thought the food was going to be average at best (purchased with coupon/got a low intro price for 9 meals), but i was happily proven wrong. Every meal was delicious, perfectly seasoned and although initially the portions looked small, once taken out of the container and put on a dinner plate, they were plenty (even for my BF). The flat steak was my favorite, as was the citrus chicken. I also do Blue Apron, but may ditch that for budget purposes and funnel it towards Freshly once a month. YUM!
I love getting Freshly orders! It takes the guess work out of wondering what to eat! I take mine for lunch each day and it's always delicious and a healthier option! While the variety becomes limited the more you order, they mix it up with Seasonal Meals that are a good mix into your normal routine!

I have been very pleased with the people on chat who are very capable and patient with all my questions. I titled this "Come and Go " because one of the things I really like is that you can stop receiving meals when you will be gone - or for whatever reason. I will also mention that I have lost weight since starting this. The portion sizes keep me full without tempting me to over eat and, because I can just pop them into the microwave, I am no longer walking in late and hungry grabbing anything to eat while I wait for dinner to be cooked. A big "Thank you" to Charm for today's help.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
