Quality is very cheap, frames are made in China, all fake. If you use your credit card on their website; beware it will be miss used.
It's a sham business.
I am stunned that Trust Pilot give them such a positive review. They are awful. After Ordering frames with prescription lenses, Frames Direct contacts me two weeks later to say that the blue Armini glasses are out of stock. They offer the same exact frames but in grey instead of blue, but it is $100 more. I tell them they should honor the price that I paid for the blue frames - no go. I reluctantly agree to order the more expensive lenses and when they finally come in almost 4 weeks after my order, the prescription is totally wrong and I cannot see with these glasses on. Taking the frames to an optical place to have new lenses made. DO NOT USE THEM.
Boutique a pair of Ray Ban Sunglasses and when they did not arrive I received a call. This call said I would not be receiving what I purchased. The representative let me know they've let me know I would be able to receive the same frames In a different color so I agreedIt was then informed it would be AA small feeUpon asking what the small fee was I found out it was $125.00 over the price I had already paid. They lie to the public to use one customer at a time as a loaning institution.
So Framesdirect warrantees their frames for one year however in order to take advantage of that warranty you have to send them your glasses so they can inspect them and decide if you qualify. My husband's glasses are six months old and the arm keeps falling off. The screw will only go in partially so it falls off continually. These are his only pair of (prism) glasses and there's is no way he can be without them for several weeks during this back and forth process. It's an ingenious way for framesdirect to get away with honoring their warranty. Buyer beware.

FRAMESDIRECT IS A BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY
They take your money, hold it hostage for a month, and then, ask you kindly to choose a different color, of the same frame. You pick a color from the list of replacement colors, for the exact same frame and they try and charge you more than 100% more to "COMPLETE" your order. When you call them out, they try to bait you further, with a "10%" coupon...

I ordered a designer frame and a prescription lens. From the get go they weren't correct. I had to have the lens at additional cost replaced by my optometrist. Recently the temple arm broke off. When I inquired about fixing they told me that they couldn't help me but, were happy to sell me a new pair. Don't waste your money with this online company for prescription glasses.
I placed my order march 17th and was told it would be 10-15 business days and 11 days after this I was told it would be 11-16 business days then 5-7 business days and then 4-6 business days. It's now May1. So they've kept me informed, I'll give them credit for that. However, WHERE'S MY ORDER?
So, on April 4th I ordered a pair of brand-name sunglasses. No prescription, no customization, nothing special about the sunglasses. A few days later, I get an email stating that they are sorry but the sunglasses are not in stock, and they should have them delivered by the 27th or earlier. On the 27th I had not received any email stating they were shipped. So, I emailed them asking for a status update. They told me that the sunglasses were "discontinued by the manufacturer "and we're no longer available. Of course however, they could offer me more expensive glasses with Only a small discount.
I went to the manufacturers website, the sunglasses were of course still available. I contacted the manufacturer, they told me no problem they can ship them that same day.
I truly believe that this is a common bait and switch scam by framesdirect.
Ordered in early February, was told they were back ordered, given a new date, told they didn't show up, will be in the next shipment, month later no frames supposed to be in my 4/26. On 4/27 I had to make contact, told frames discontinued and I could order something else. No options that were less than 100 dollars more than the original order, and they would make it right after stringing me along for almost three months.
As a repeat customer that's really disappointing and I will never buy from them again.
Buyer beware.
Been waiting lunch now. They claim they ship them, but they couldn't find a tracking number. Then they said it got lost and they shipped it on time, but they didn't know the address. Then they said I got lost in the mail. Not sure if this is even real real company, or they just take money and pretend to send glasses.
I purchased a set of frames and they were sent six weeks late, I had to reach out to them for updates. I purchased a second pair while waiting for the first. The second pair came in and within within six months of minimal wear, the lens kept falling out. I returned the frames and the customer service department immediately claimed they were not covered under warranty. After speaking with the service manager and spending a lot of time back-and-forth they finally sent a replacement pair. The replacement pair had the same issue where the lens continued to fall out after a couple of months. I sent them back but again, I was told they weren't covered under warranty and it was not an issue with the lens falling out, as I reported… but that I had actually broken the frame and they were not honoring the warranty. The first reason however was set in an email, that there was a bent screw, again not covered, two different reasons neither of which addressed the real reason they were sent back. This is all subjective to "their review" and it never seems that the customer is right, I was treated as a liar & a crook and will NEVER do business with them again or recommend them. There are plenty of good companies out there deserving of a loyal customer and i will check the reviews next time as they have a 1.9 rating…now i know why
Ordered glasses and did not realize that it would take over a month to receive them. Then they play the shipping game where they tell you a date and they print a label on that date but the package does not leave their facility. After contacting them several times to get updates and try to expedite the order, they would do nothing, except tell me their policy is on the website, and offered no solutions. Terrible Company!
This is the 2nd pair of frames bought, so you can tell I love them. Frames Direct agency is awesome at keeping you updated on your order and shipping. They're very helpful at answering questions and helping you. The 1st ones bought a few years ago were too short and we had to be exchanged!
Had a terrible experience with this company. They sell glasses that they don't have. Very frustrating... spent hours looking through "sales options". Selected a pair I was happy with, ordered the glasses, uploaded my prescription, paid with my credit card and choose expedited delivery. Got my confirmation email with order number.
2 days later they call to say the glasses I selected were no longer available. Of course the sale is now ended so they wanted me to now choose from the "full price" options.
Very disreputable company! Save your time & money and shop elsewhere.
Been waiting over 3 months for my specs… constant delays. If I didn't need them I wouldn't have ordered them in the first place. Take your money elsewhere if you need your specs.
They reached out to tell me they didn't have my glasses size and to pick different pairs. They then sent me a list of glasses more expensive than the ones I ordered originally. Their links didn't work, their invoices were incorrect and two separate "Optometrists" asked repeating questions that they said in previous emails would not be asked again, and they seemed super disorganized. They couldn't locate my Pupil distance and the back and forth has been daily for 2 months now. When I mentioned I was "a little frustrated" with the process, since I needed the order completed a month prior for insurance purposes, the "optometrist" was suddenly "out of the office" mysteriously. This has happened twice now, and I still have no confirmation regarding my glasses order. Very disappointed in the customer service and disorganized process. They also lied and said they processed by order already cause I decided to cancel my order due to the messy process, but still have not received a confirmation that the order was processed as promised.
Buyer Beware - Sold used, damaged sunglasses as new.
I strongly urge anyone reading this to think twice before purchasing any glasses from this company. Twice I bought non-prescription glasses without issue, other than the excessive delays. They pretty much say anything you order is on backorder. However, when I purchased my third pair ($300 Persol sunglasses), the glasses I received were visibly used. There were filthy fingerprints all over them, a loose bridge, old hardware. It looked like they had been cobbled together with parts that were laying around or something I would have purchased off Ebay for $50. They did not offer a refund or the option to replace them with actual new sunglasses, which is what I ordered. This company pulled a bait and switch and then stopped responding to my messages, leaving me out $300 and with old, used sunglasses. They are the absolute worst and I would give them zero stars if I could. Buyer beware!
Ordered glasses, per new script. Got glasses went to DMV, flunked the eye exam. Seeing obstruction Thursday. I know full well now, this was a huge mistake. Seeing my credit card as well.
It took me 2 1/2 months to get my sun glasses and when I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and order again they sent me children glasses instead of women glasses. Then they didn't return my over night fees after it took me 4 days to get the glasses once sent out.
