I love the network, but what I don't love is the racism on it. I've been watching Food Network since I was a kid and have always loved it but as I've gotten older I realized that the network is definitely racist. I've seen black people be chopped or eliminated after getting less criticism for their dishes than other contestants who happen to be white. Season 44 episode 1 so to speak Chef "Boots" was chopped in the first round for his peanut butter smear being to sweet and dish needing acid but two other contestants critique was that they couldn't taste a basket ingredient at all, but yet Chef "Boots" was chopped. I've been feeling this way for years and just never spoke up about it but my son shouldn't have to keep asking me why does black people always get eliminated first or make it to the end and still doesn't win with little criticism. I hope this message gets to someone who can make a change or will it just go unnoticed. Or does someone have to say the "N" word like Paula Deen (whom I USED to love) for something to be done. Come on Food Network please tell me y'all aren't racist.

Made some really tasty treats from this site. They didn't turn out as nice as the pictures though since they are pros and I am not :)

No doubt that judges are there because of their skills I do think to be fair it should be a blind taste test to remove the bias.

Same as HGTV

Love Food Network, just hate all of the damn competition shows that they have. Where are the regular chefs, like Emeril, Paula Deen, etc.? I'm tired of these has-been Hollywood idiots like Trisha Yearwood and Valerie Bertinelli getting cooking shows when there are much better and real chefs out there. FOOD NETWORK NEEDS TO DUMP THE COMPETITION SHOWS AND THE WANNABE CHEFS!

I have watched Food Network for years, but most of the shows now are not worth even recording. Pioneer Woman is my favorite, but seems not many new episodes now, The Kitchen is unwatchable with Sunny Andersons obnoxious loud overtalking outbursts and her constantly shoving every food item into her mouth, and her stupid lipstick and eye shadows (not too mention the ridiculous gang signs and boob shaking) Katie needs to stop acting so pure and girlish, so unwatchable, feel sorry for GZ, he looks embarrased, as he should be. TIRED of competitions shows, TIRED of Guy's DDD, GGG they are all the same! Better get some new REAL COOKING shows or no one will be watching soon. Do like Bobby Flay! Bring back Paula Deen, she is entertaining! Get some cooking /travel shows going!

I have watched this network since it started, but Amy Schumers politically charged show doesn't belong here. It was the one safe haven from politics.

It used to be a great network. Now it's all Guy Feri. He's OK but, there are a lot of other shows they could air.

Watching Food Network on the weekend was a regular thing. Mainly it was for the guilty pleasure of the competition shows. I remember the days of Food Network Challenge when the goal was to produce an amazing cake and the greatest obstacle was physically moving it to the judging area.

Shows like Cutthroat Kitchen wove an annoying staple into all the competition shows, namely the need for contestants to perform ludicrously idiotic tasks while cooking/baking. "Here, Chaz, strap on this cast iron pan suit of armor while riding around on a tricycle with your partner dangling from a pot rack and sorting pepper grains from a pile of salt and remember you can only cook using the cigarette lighter from a 1975 Chevy Astro."

Can we actually see what people are capable of doing? Do we really need to add gorgonzola to the necessary ingredients of a Wacky Wedding cake 3/4 the way into the challenge? The whole 'What a twist' has been done to death, reanimated, bludgeoned with a meat tenderizer, pureed, strained, reduced, poured onto the anti-griddle, melted, and overmixed in the ice cream machine. The result is underwhelming and desperation forward.

I just finished watching Chopped Beta Booby Flay--a special edition. What a total disappointment. Don't get me wrong I like Booby Flay, he is very pleasant and entertaining. But he did not win Chopped! Firstly he only went through one round, secondly his presentation was crap, it looked like something thrown together, and thirdly, in Beat Bobby Flay the judges do not know who prepared the food. The wrong guy was given the title of chopped champion. The Judging is Biased, Rigged at best. SO OBVIOUS! Redo the competition, have Booby go through all three rounds against top chefs, and in all cases the judges should be judging without knowing who presented the dish. SORRY BOBBY YOU ARE NOT CHOPPED CHAMPION, Not in my book > the judges gave it to you on a silver platter. I will no longer watch chopped, because I am truly tired of the judging that is so blatantly fixed. Chef Seis was clearly the winner, much nicer presentation. It seems like the judges were looking for any excuse to give it to Booby Flay. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU.

I thot Davis should have won the kids spring baking championship. He consistently made great cakes and I was so shocked that Paige won.

Judges are harder on female cooks especially Arum. This is mostly true on Chopped programming when there are both females and males competing.

Date of experience: July 20, 2017

Overview

The company's reputation is increasingly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived declines in programming quality and a lack of engaging content. Viewers express frustration over repetitive shows, perceived arrogance from hosts, and a shift away from the original cooking-centric focus. Additionally, customers report poor customer service, citing unresponsive support regarding issues such as lost recipes. While some fans still appreciate select shows, the overall sentiment indicates a longing for a return to the network's foundational values of culinary education and inspiration, suggesting a need for significant content and service improvements.
