As a buyer I have had over 60 projects completed on fiverr and it is always a challenge.
The worst part of doing business on the site is trying to find and interract with customer support.
There are many 3rd world sellers that are trying to make a buck on a wing and a prayer and they don't have a clue about deadlines, quality or service.
I don't use fiverr much anymore. Too frustrating.
Zero stars for this scam website (I had to put one but they shouldn't get any. I ordered a service for $5. They sent an email telling me to create an account and then login. That never worked. I couldn't log in. I sent a bunch of emails. They never replied. They don't have any customer service number. I now escalated the claim via paypal to dispute the claim.
Unbelievable. Stay far far away
Tried 3 times working with their digital web designers. The first designer (Pakistani) after repeatedly texting what I wanted just couldn't understand, very frustrating. He mixed up the site work to a point I had to end the job. The second designer after repeatedly sending a detailed explanation to him came back to me with a completely different mixed up preview of everything I told him not to do.
The third designer had a nice display of work he had done so I hired him. He asked me for what I wanted and said ok we agreed on price he had all my log ins. I sent a detailed list of what was needed on the site. A week later he texts me do I still want the site. I was supposed to see the new site which he claimed I never hired him. All of these 3 were Pakistanis who do not understand & wasted my time. I requested my money back but they insisted on keeping it. Fivre cannot be trusted!
I consistently had issues with a seller on Fiverr and after reaching out to their customer support, I was told to work it out with the seller and come back to them if it didn't work out. Well, I tried working it out with the seller (which I had already tried multiple times) and they still refused to create what I requested or cancel my order. Afterwords, Fiverr still refused to refund my money.
For the record, I have worked with one seller and had a positive experience. This was my second attempt and there was no positive outcome at all in the experience. I understand that I chose a bad seller, but I didn't anticipate Fiverr not helping me at all. Really though, the seller constantly called me 'bro' and could not understand basic English. If the profile is perfect grammar, it's a con. These are the ones that paid someone else to write their profile.
I had 2 very bad experiences. 1. I contracted a guy from India to increase backlinks to my business directory. After the service my website increase traffic from India to register companies to get a backlink from my site.
2. I have contacted with an ai developer to develop an innovative ai software and he took the idea and then rejected my project.
Don't waste your time, they are pirates and not freelancers.

A seller I hired to improve website speed is far off to what we agreed on. I contacted fiverr who've told me that there's nothing they can do.
For anyone thinking about using this horrible website, rather use upwork. It's safer and you find actual profesionals.
A lot of scammers with fake reviews are active on fiverr. Just read through the reviews where oyu can see every 2nd reviewer has been scammed somehow.
I can't say enough to warn people to stay away from Fiverr. I used this business on 5 occasions and got nothing but SUBPAR horrible contractors who don't know what they're doing. They provided work that didn't meet the guidelines making me wait for them to fix their screwups. Also, the average wait time to get a response from Support is THREE DAYS. They advertise on their site it's 12-18 hours which is a lie. These people who are contractors hide out behind computer screens trying to sell themselves for something they are not. It's all a scam to the buyer. It's a great way for a loser who has no skills to try and make money behind a computer screen who normally wouldn't be able to get a job in the real world. I highly recommend staying clear of this company at all costs.
The offered service looked attractive, with 1k+ positive reviews and nearly 5* rating, and cheap! 35USD only. However, upon getting results I immediately realized that is bull$#*! copy-paste. How could it be? When I tried to complain to a seller he immediately canceled the order with full refund. Now I can't leave negative review to him because the order is cancelled. So here we are - this is how this scam works! Fake 5* reviews, cheap price. Job imitation. Zero risk. Perhaps, 1 of 10, or even 5 of 10 just don't want to waste a time to complain and simply keep money for a scammer. Fiverr itself seems to be happy with this model. When I tried to reach their support they answered that they understand my frustration but their policy does not allow to post reviews for canceling orders. Period.
On March 3,2017, a graphic designer (seller) on Fiverr.com sold me a $30 job for $100. Their gig page was misleading. They presented one style and gave me something else. In my opinion, the seller deliberately bollixed the job. There have been a total of 158 customer complaints and 13 negative reviews filed with the Better Business Bureau against Fiverr, Inc. In fact, the BBB has given Fiverr, Inc. a (F) for an overview rating. I feel this reflects badly on the State of New York, the Federal Trade Commission should immediately pull Fiverrs business license.
I have a business, That reason my need a logo. I did hire a freelancer he is "Monoranjon Ray" he is great Logo designer, his communication and Design Skills is very high. I highly recommended, if your need Brand logo design, You can hire him.
Thank You.
This web site is offal!
Seller did horroble job. He did something on my website that I did not approve and even did not finish job left it in the middle.
When I ask to change it back he insulted me and treat me as garbage.
When I contacted Fever they did nothing about and
Send me warning instead.
It really started out as a great idea, and everything was only $5
Time went by, $5 became $30, then $100, then $200
The new site should be called Hunderrr! I better go buy the domain!
Hunderrr.com and Thouserrr.com coming soon
PS. Fiverr is just full of autobot scams, copy and paste work, and hacks looking to make a fiverr.
I ordered a logo and was told if I ordered the Pro Package that I would get the following: unlimited revisions, 3 different versions of the logo, vector file, logo transparency, 3D mockup, media kit, business cards and stationary temples, source file, high resolution and free commercial license. Well after being late on the delivery I finally got a logo that I wasn't happy with, a png file download and a source file. I asked for a revision and asked where the rest of the items that I had paid for about 4 times and never received a response. Can not get any live customer service, just FAQ page. Can not seem to get my money back. I even tried another fiverr seller and was told that they could/would be able to deliver what I wanted but when I tried to order they changed the price by triple the original price. I would not recommend fiverr.com to anyone!
They removed my gig without any comments, just because I wrote in my description that I have good reputation on other freelance service. It wasn't even a URL, just a name of that service. And they write it's not possible to recover my descriptions and FAQ. I spent 3 hours creating that gig and Fiver simply stole my time. It was so user-friendly! I'm speechless.
Strongly advise you to stay away from Fiverr it is a complete scam. I ordered a logo design and stationaries for 80$ and 3 days after I received a 3D mockup my order was marked "complete"?! So you have 3 days to reply or they just consider its all good? And this falls under their "constitution" written somewhere in the terms of services that nobody reads nowadays! So after the order is marked complete you can't do anything!
I have received no material I can use and the customer service does not guide or help in anything.
You have no possibilities to talk to the seller.
This is not a legal practice and I recommend you to use another website.
The management is biased. I had been a 5 star seller till I had an issue with a person of a certain race they prefer. They sided with the con man (buyer) because it was one of their own kind and for FIVERR buyers are more important. The more I complained they downgraded me after 5 years of selling on their platform.
Just a BAD SERVICE for honest sellers. They have become bullies and they want buyers because thats how they get money in their bank. Sellers are at their mercy. Now they even downgrade your response time etc with some STUPID algorithms their backend developers are touting. I hope their demise happens soon and some new platform that respects the sellers start up immediately.
The designers are actually quite good but the site is glitchy. Customer service takes DAYS to respond and if you have an issue... you wind up going to several differnt people in customer service and nothing gets fixed. TOTAL train wreck and waste of time. Spend more money Go somewhere else. I feel bad for the talented desigers.
Dear all,
I refused to cancel the order after I have started working on it. The reason for the client was that he needs no more the project after ordering it.
Unfortunately, the consumer support cancels it.
The customer support response was:
"Your order was reviewed and the buyer had asked to cancel it since they didn't need the service anymore, being as the order wasn't delivered, we proceeded to cancel it. "
"We reviewed the order and being as there was no delivery and the buyer didn't need the order anymore, we can go ahead and cancel it."
I did not find anywhere this rule in their policies, so be aware that you could start working on a project and just before completing it, the client can change his mind and cancel it.
Best regards.
I created a gig on this site. They blacklisted me without notification. After that, they sent me an e-mail about not delivering an assignment on time. How was I suppose to complete the assignment if my account was deactivated?
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
Fiverr has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,132 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Fiverr most frequently mention customer service, credit card and low quality. Fiverr ranks 107th among Freelancing sites.
