Great day of fishing with Captain Rob, tides and weather changed our plans but still caught fish and saw some awesome things I'd never experienced before.
Zero Customer service. Its all online and with slow response times. Confusing. Not up to date Capt. Information. They have your credit card and they Will charge it if you make a mistake or have trouble booking a trip which happens often. Stay Clear. No Help available.
Hi Michael,
I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with us and would love to know more about the problems you've had. We work hard to make it easy to use our site and absolutely don't want to anyone to be charged for a mistake or difficulty.
Would you be able to share more information about the outdated information you found and the charges you received? Please feel free to message me privately on this platform, I'd very much like to help sort this out.

Greatest time. Captain Ron took us to his honey hole and we got em. Vartan knowledgeable and great laughs the whole trip. This will be a yearly return for sure.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for your review – I'm happy to hear you had a great trip. I hope we can help get you out on the water again soon!

While it was the perfect day to be on the water, calm and sunny, and we caught as many fish as we desired, Scooter did not stop talking. He was a non-stop motor mouth. Being self-employed ourselves, we take great care not to say anything personally offensive or politically incorrect to our potential clients; not Scott. If you get a charge out of colorful individuals and appreciate endless chatter, this is your fishing charter. If you enjoy quiet on the peaceful waters, select another charter.
Hi Tori,
Thanks for booking with us and for taking the time to leave a review. I'm happy to hear you caught a lot of fish!
Your feedback will be useful for future anglers. I know some people like to fish with chatty guides, while others prefer some peace and quiet. I'll be sure to pass the message along!
I hope we'll be able to help you find another charter soon (possibly with a more reserved captain next time):)

Captain Rod and Mate Andrew worked hard to ensure we had a good time and they used their knowledge and a variety of fishing techniques at a bunch of locations to get us some meat, a trophy, and a lot of great pictures. The atmosphere on their boat is exactly what it should be.
We'll be back for more!
Hi Ed,
Thanks for your review! I'm really glad you enjoyed your fishing trip with Captain Rod and Andrew. I hope we can help you get out on the water again soon!

The boat is really nice and was fun to be on the water. Loved seeing Sanibel Island and seeing wildlife made a good experience. As a novice fishermen we had some knowledge of how to fish. I would of liked to spend more time fishing then going from place to place. More guidance on fishing techniques and some more information on what fish we are going for and what we want to do to catch them would of been a great addition to the experience. Birds kept stealing my bait fish and flying off with it still on hook! Which made a funny story so we had a great time!
Hi Tracy,
Thanks for booking with us! I'm happy to hear you had a good time on your charter in Sanibel although sorry the fish weren't biting that day. I hope more fish than birds eat the bait next time!:)

FishingBooker took our money and confirmed a full day trip for 7. The boat never arrived. Complete waste of time & incredibly inconvenient. Wasted $70 RT on a cab ride to the dock. Stood waiting in the dark/cold for over an hour. No answer to numerous calls and texts. Gave up and went home with 4 very tired and disappointed boys. Finally got an email 3 hours later about "engine trouble." No substitute boat arranged & nobody available to answer phones due to a "holiday". Wasted day. Refused to reimburse taxi costs. FishingBooker accepts no responsibility for the actions of the boats they book you with.
Hi Mona,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and I'm really sorry that you had a bad experience with this charter.
You should never have to wait on the dock without a word from the captain, and I understand that this must have been extremely frustrating and disappointing. It's also not at all the type of the type of experience we want to facilitate.
In addition to the discount the captain has offered for a future trip, we would like to offer you credit towards another trip with us, anywhere in the world. We'll be in touch with you about this directly, so please look out for our message.
It's really important to us that customers get an accurate description of the service they're booking. Among other measures that have been taken, the listing you booked shows transparently that the captain canceled your trip at the last minute, so future customers will be aware. I know this doesn't undo what happened, but you can be sure that we do not take this lightly.
Also, I understand that you had difficulties contacting the captain, whose number was provided when you booked. We'd very much like you to use our service again, and if you do I really recommend contacting us directly if you need help with your trip or have trouble getting through to your captain.
I'm sorry it wasn't clear that we're here if anything goes wrong and will definitely look into how we can improve this in the future.
I very much hope you get to enjoy a fishing trip soon!

I provided an honest review of a recent charter that I booked. They totally whitewashed the review to protect the charter. I gave positive points and negative points to help future buyers know what to expect with the charter I chose. It appears they will try and protect their golden geese from posting the description of the review of anything less than stellar to preserve the symbiotic business dealings. Meanwhile, everything positive described is posted.
Hi Johnny,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review – both here and on the listing you booked!
I looked into the case you reported in some detail, as our policy is never to change reviews to make listings look better. We understand that reviews are the best way to show an honest and accurate portrayal of any charter, and as you'll see on the listing you booked, there are a range of reviews from 5 stars to 1 star there already.
With this in mind, I can assure you that your review wasn't purposefully doctored to only include the good parts. Instead, it seems like it may not have saved properly, as originally it contained the rating only, without the text. After you forwarded what you wanted the review to say to us, we helped you adjust it so the text shows up correctly. You can see it here: https://fishingbooker.com/reviews/view/258054.
I hope that this now portrays a more accurate picture of your experience. If you do need to make any changes, please do let us know. You can do this by replying to the latest email you received from Johnny.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback – we'll keep an eye on any similar problems and work on making the review experience smoother in the future.

Booked for a fishing charter through their web-site on September 1,2020 for October 2,2020. I contacted the captain 12 days before the grip and asked him about details of the fishing charter, uniform requirements and other important information. He did not provide any information and asked me to contact him two days before the trip.
Fishingbooker does not wanna publish my review as they support and backup bad and fraudulent behavior of their partner and interested that more people will be trapped by this scammer.
After you travelled many hours and would like to get a service that you paid expensive price for, but you see a scam!
Hi Ulanbek,
First of all, I'm very sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience with your latest reservation with us. I'm also sorry that you felt unable to share your experience with other FishingBooker customers. The reason you weren't able to leave a review was simply because reviews are appraisals of fishing trips and therefore can only be left once the trip is complete. As you decided not to take your trip, this meant that it wasn't possible to leave a review.
I'd like to share a little more information about the trip in question if I may. The listing you booked is with an inland river fishing guide who fishes the Salmon River. This river is run by a dam company, meaning the water levels can vary and, if water isn't released from the dam, the river can be too shallow to run a drift boat. On those occasions, fishing trips are done by wading – often resulting in huge catches!
Unfortunately, the guide doesn't get this information from the dam company until shortly before the trip, which is why he asked you to get in touch closer to the trip date in order to agree on the full details.
Previous customers have had a wonderful experience with this guide, but we realize that the information about the potential of wading should have been shared more clearly on the listing. Since you reached out to us about your reason for canceling your trip, we updated the description to make it more clear for people who aren't used to fishing in the area. We did of course also refund your deposit to you in full.
I can see that you had a much better experience on the previous trip that you booked with us – congrats on the big Striper! I sincerely hope that you'll enjoy lots more successful fishing trips in the future.

I booked a trip with fishing booker and it got canceled because the captain that was going to take us motor blew up. I found another trip with another captain on my own. I really don't think that the captain emailed me and said his boat motor blew up. Needless to say I am still waiting on my refund. I am going to contact my lawyer and see what can be done about this. Fishing booker you owe me my deposit. *******@yahoo.com.
Hi Lawrence,
Thanks for sharing your experience and sorry we took our time to reply on this platform. I know our team has been in contact in person with you since!
We fully agree with you that if a captain has trouble with their boat or motor the customer should get their deposit back. In fact, our only income comes from successful trips – our business model simply doesn't support us keeping deposits unless you get to go fishing.
I see that your deposit refund was issued in early September and that you got confirmation of this over email. I know it can take up to 7 business days for the bank to process these funds, but can you confirm that this is settled now?

Fishing booker blames the Guides for issues with their system. Double or triple books and then blames guide instead of fixing system issues.
Top of the line guide, caught all the fish we could handle and had more fun than you can imagine... 100% will book again
Captain Lance was the best captain ever! Very helpful, very nice, clean boat, and very friendly. I would highly recommend his charter for great fishing trip.
Scheduled a fishing trip on Lake Michigan with my family. The trip was scheduled for August 20 at 4:00pm. I received an email informing me the trip was cancelled on August 19 at 3:00 pm. We were on vacation and had no time to reschedule another trip. Kids were very disappointed. When I called to find out why the customer service was very poor. The only reason given was "I want to unlist". I would not recommend this service.
I have my business listed with this company and it is hopeless. Fishing booker will not answer my emails, they have deleted phone numbers so that they can't be contacted., They won't let me log on with my email as they say it doesn't exist but they keep sending me emails on the same address. I have changed a lot of important matters how I operate the business and need to reflect this on my listing but I can't change anything as I can't even reach my own listing and the company is uncontactable. This is highly unprofessional and quite frankly bloody hopeless.
Hi Mick,
I'm sorry to hear you've had trouble getting in touch with us and updating your profile – and also that I didn't see your review on this site any earlier! What you describe sounds frustrating and I'd like to help out if you're still having any issues.
Please feel free to contact me directly here or through our contact page on FishingBooker and we help fix the problem with the email address and updating your listing.

We booked a trip out of Destin for a 6 am departure. It is our experience that fish bite in the morning. Our deposit for that time slot was processed and THEN the captain called and said his boat was in the shop and he might be able to take us out at 11 or the next day. We had plans for the next day.
They did not give us our deposit back! This is a scam. The reviews for this captains had 3 cancelled trips in a row. Do they just take people's deposits all day and then inform that there boat is broken but so sorry... no refund. This was for the charter boat Malia Ann
Never heard of bad expeirices I work fishbooker very honest and as my company I take pride in putting customers on there pb and on most trips we do it they are not a scan some of the best guides work for fishbooker
Wife's 40th birthday approaching. Can't throw a party with COVID... can't travel like we normally do... so let's do a private fishing charter!
Talked to several friends with boats, all busy that weekend. Called local charters that we knew of. All booked. Someone mentioned this site, fishingbooker.com.
On July 11th I booked a charter for Aug 1st. Offshore fishing for 6 hours. Paid a deposit. Received several emails and text messages confirming our trip. Also received emails reminding me of my reservation.
Attempted to contact the captain through the website messaging system just to find out what we needed to bring. Didn't hear anything back. Finally, clicked on the button to get captains number directly. Received a call back the day before the scheduled and confirmed trip that he had absolutely NO idea that we booked a trip with him. He apologized, and attempted to do his best to reach out directly with other charters that he knew of.
I went BACK on fishingfinder.com on July 31st and looked for another charter for Aug 1st. Found one that showed available. Booked the trip, and PAID ANOTHER DEPOSIT.
Now that I knew to look for the button to contact the captain directly, I immediately called to confirm with him directly. He called me back a few hours later. He also explained that he had NO IDEA HOW we were able to book a trip with his charter through this site. He was completely booked for the weekend, just like everyone else.
Summarize... planned a nice fishing trip for my wife's 40th birthday. Paid a deposit. Got several confirmations via email and text.
No fishing! No trip actually booked! Attempted to book ANOTHER TRIP through the same website. Again, paid another deposit. NO TRIP. NO FISHING.
I basically paid this site money twice for nothing. Great birthday present! Sorry honey, I failed on the highlight of the weekend birthday experience.
I'm sure I will get my refunded deposits... but no fishing! So I pay a website money twice and have to do work to get money back.
Words can't describe how frustrating this is.
So we booked a trip very easily and deposited just $75. 00. 6 hour trip out of Fernandina Florida. Everything seemed fine till the day of our trip. I get a text from the "Capt" stating his boat broke he had to cancel. Fine I get it. I tried to call him and see about rebooking or if there was another Capt and boat available to fish same day. The number is a non working number. I then try to contact fishingbooker and can not reach a single person. This company never tried to contact me or reach out to make other arrangements. They left us high and dry. I would never use them again or recommend this company to anyone STAY AWAY FOLKS. Find a Capt and contact them directly. We normally fish a few times a year on the gulf coast we use Tomcat out of PCB Fl. I have had trips canceled but they contacted me personally and made arrangements to fix it or make my next trip better. Fishingbooker is crap.
Answer: Scam. Fishingbooker is a rip off. Nothing but trouble. No customer service and they charge your credit card. Look out.
Answer: A: Hi Jamie, it really depends on the duration of your trip and the location you'd like to go fishing in. There are captains who offer departure times based on the cruise timetables and can get you back on time. I'd suggest you message the charters you'd like to go out with and inquire about this. I'm sure they will be able to assist you. Also, you can contact our customer service, and we'll gladly help you find something suitable. Many thanks, Maria
Answer: Hi Lawrence, we refunded your deposit after your trip in September was canceled. Please let us know if this is now resolved. Many thanks, Cat
Hi Ben,
Thanks for booking with us and for the great review! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your trip with Captain Rob and hope we can help you find another unforgettable fishing charter in the future.
