I use Firestone for oil changes. Have for years. About half the time, they try to sell me parts and services. This time they said I needed an air filter. They already removed it and showed me the dirty filter along side a new one. $31 for a $14 part. Part was already out, why charge labor! Told them to put it back. I bought the filter at oreillys for said $14 and was installed FREE!
I find it a sleazy practice to sell parts for 100% markup. I took their advice but spent reasonable money elsewhere. I also "needed" a tire rotation. Passed on that too.
I went in to the Firestone on Rodney Parham Road in West Little Rock last week. I was greeted by a black man.
I said: I need a camshaft sensor for bank 2 on my 2003 G35 infinity coupe.
He said:
Firestone employee: Alright then. Well we will plugged it up for 99.00 + tax.
I said: Nope I've already did a diagnostic on it already, and it's the camshaft sensor.
Firestone employee: Oh you have already done diagnostics on it.
I said: Yes, and showed him my diagnostics report.
He heed and hawed.,and I could visibly see his mind working. He then said.
Firestone employee: Well if we can't plug it up, we can't work on it.
Even though I was more than happy to pay for the part and labor. But he refused my business.Over a $100 diagnostic fee. Talk about dumb and greediness. SPOS.
I walked out, and took my car to 'Razorback Auto' on Hinson rd. Go there folks.
Oh yeah, and my Sister and I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there for the same car. Reason being is because they don't make G35 infinity coupes anymore, and I want to keep it. Sad, sad, and crooked these people are at Firestone, especially the one on Rodney Parham Road in West Little Rock, Arkansas. People save yourself some grief and money, DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS!

I will NEVER go to Firestone's W. Sacramento service center for any work. All I tried doing is get a $235 ($254.38 w/ tax) Diehard battery installed. The service agent first quoted a total out-the-door price of $280'ish, meaning $25-30 was labor for about 10-15 min of work. That's a very good price. Then the service writer talks with another employee behind a window for 5 mins, comes back with a price of $650'ish. WHAT? That's near $370 labor for a 15 min job. This battery is easy access with 5 screws total. He claimed its a 2 1/4 hr job. Only if he includes a 2 hr nap! Run from this place like I did. 1.69 of 5.0 stars is too high!
I had my spark plugs changed out for new ones because my suv was misfiring every time I revved up my engine to much.
They are getting two stars because, while not as bad as it was, my suv is STILL misfiring if I rev up my engine to much.
Clearly the issue was not fully fixed.
Not thrilled that I paid over 600.00 bucks for a job to only be half fixed, what a bummer.
I visited the Firestone store in Livingston NJ today to have a flat tire checked up, and had met the worst and rudest front desk and mangers ever in my entire life. I really felt the manager was preparing to punch me in the face at certain point. They also trash talked Costco for allegedly selling used tires as new. If you want to compete with big business, start with your attitude treating your customers. I sincerely advise nobody go to their business anymore unless you want your day ruined.
I took my Honda Odyssey to their Cleveland Heights, ohio location needless to say the issue that I had taken the car in for was not addressed but I was sold a bunch of other crap that was not installed properly and in turn my engine jumped time and my engine went bad. The bad part was when I tried to complain the day of service I got the run around and totally disrespected by the store staff so I tried to call the main and was given no relief they told me to take my car back to the douchbag who ruin my car. So now I m without a vehicle saving money for litigation. Please don't take your car to these people their a bunch of hacks hired by a money hungry Japanese company
I thought being firestone it would be good, and then they make a mistake with my payment and blame me and drop my available credit
Was left with a damaged tire as I was leaving for a trip and had to leave my vehicle at my house. Called Firestone Direct to come by and install a new tire. We agreed on a price for the new tire as well as a time to do the repair. I gave them 4 ways to contact me; phone, txt, email and second phone.
The were a no show and did not bother to contact to explain or reschedule. Horrible... Avoid Firestone if you can.
I think I have a slow leak in one of my tires that I purchased from this store a few months ago and made an appointment to come in today at 4pm based on their online scheduling tool. I got the email that stated "If your requested appointment date becomes unavailable, we will contact you directly to discuss rescheduling to a time that's convenient for you." I received no phone call or email. So, I took my car in as planned to have the tire looked at. When I walked in the lady behind the desk told me that they cannot look at the tire today and that the online scheduling tool "isn't that good". She went on to say that she "wished more customers would call corporate and complain" about the online scheduler because it is not that good. I explained to her that I drove 20 minutes to have them look at my tire and she refused saying they do not work on any car past 3pm on Sundays. What a crock! So the tire that I need to have looked at (which may be flat in the morning) will need to wait until tomorrow. Never mind Firestone, I will go to NTB and have them take my business. Just a very frustrating adventure with them.
Took my vehicle in to the Firestone at 5657 Wendy Bagwell Pwky in Hiram to have rear brakes July 6th. Approved almost $800 worth of work, told them I was in no hurray, just needed it before mid August. I was told "I'll have it done by 5pm today". (Direct quote from Andrew the service manager). Asked for and was promised a printout of the estimate either by email, text or however and again stressed that I was in no hurry, never received. Then they call me at 5pm to say they couldn't find parts for a Honda Passport and the service manager was going on vacation the next day and the technician working on it was off the next day as well so I could try to find my own parts or come pick it up. Wow.
I couldn't find the parts but then again, I wasn't on their payroll, lol.
So I say I'll come pick it up.
No effort by a company that has stores all over the US who one would assume has access to parts reps to help find parts for fairly popular vehicle.
I took it elsewhere and found out that the people Firestone clamped the brake hose to the rear brakes, yes that's right, CLAMPED THE BRAKE HOSE TO THE REAR BRAKES, didn't bother to tell me and let me drive it home this way. For anyone who doesn't know, this s NOT SAFE!
Now, no other shop wants to even look at it because there's no way of knowing what else they did!
Andrew the service manager(?) couldn't care less since his vacation was starting and Cedric the manager had no clue what was going on. They didn't even know which key was mine when I picked it up.
Complained to corporate 800 number and promised a call from manager within 48 hours but they evidently can't be bothered to call since 28th of July.
If you value safety, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!
The workers at the Firestone located near Memorial Mall in Houston appear to be extremely dishonest, to the point of engaging in illegal activity. They claimed my tie-rod was seized and wanted $600 for parts. They also claimed that the alignment was so far off that I would do serious damage to my tires unless I purchased the new tie-rods immediately, which would then enable them to do the alignment. I had told them that I would be traveling out of town the next day, and so they took advantage of this fact to try and scare me into purchasing the parts. I called my mechanic, who had recently replaced a boot, and he thought the claims were suspicious. So I asked to speak with the manager, Chaz, telling him what my mechanic had said. Chaz assured me that 3 mechanics, including Maricio (Tech # 5), had all looked at my tie-rod and he was certain that it was seized and that I needed to spend the $600. Rather than giving in, I drove to my mechanic 15 minutes away, who was able to adjust the tie-rod with almost no effort. Firestone's claim that my tie-rod was seized turned out to be completely false! Furthermore, my mechanic told me that the alignment was off by so little and required so little adjusting that there would have been no wear to my tires, even after my 2000-mile road trip. It is very sad that people can be so dishonest, taking advantage of others, and that their management enables this kind of behavior.
Mr. Simpson, store manager on 700 N2nd St in Harrisburg, PA, helped us with an emergency brake repair as we were traveling from SC to NY. Although he could not squeeze us into his schedule, he called many neighboring locations to find someone who could accommodate us. Very appreciated.
I had my tires change at Firestone. Upon walking in, there is no customer service at all. The staff don't really care if you do business with them or not. The entire process of change tires took more then 3 hours. Days later my pressure light came on, I went back and took them another 4! Hours and the problem was not fix. I then went to another dealer and it was resolve in Less them 5 minutes. Today one of the tire went flat again. I went back and it's been over 2 hours still not able to find the issue. I pleaded with the staff to help, the reply was we are too busy and you just have to wait. I have never ever experienced this kind of service. I proceed to call the head office, the number was wrong and finally found the right number and I called, the office closed early and no one was able to answer the call. I plead to all of you don't go to Firestone for any services. They are horrible and I can't believe they are in business
Appointment for 1pm, truck goes in at 1:25 pm takes two hours for oil change and rotation. See truck parked after it's done then nobody at counter for 25 min. Wow, won't go there again
Took car in for tune up. They recommended valve replacement. Since then, oil as profusely leaked from that valve into my alternator and onto my serpentine belt. No lights came on the dashboard. I didn't know about the leak until I was stranded on the side of the road 3 hours from home, for 2 days.
Fire stone in Lakeside did you Oil change tire rotation, Way to Vegas no power to the motor The mechanic didn't put the air filter on properly now we're stuck in Kingman at the Ford dealership
Took truck in for a/c service charged $1279 in less than a month a/c failed again. Upon return female at front asking questions " was something else going on with vehicle". Stupid question to offset their incompetence. Awaiting resolution but I am not giving another dime, I feel they overcharged me and did not perform work competently.
Needed one new spark plug. Cost=960+tax.
Asked how much for all of them. Cost=1791+tax.
Dmv auto(riverview florida) to replace them all... Cost=385+tax.
Mmmmmmmh
I'm incredibly disappointed with the response I got today regarding a botched alignment of m, y truck at the Highlands Ranch, Colorado store. After aligning my truck on Saturday, Saturday night my steering wheel was suddenly off 90 degrees and not driving right. I talked to someone Sunday who said they couldn't handle it Sunday and arranged for me to come Monday at 4:00 Monday. When I arrived I got to have a contentious conversation with someone who believed I was their "bud". He said there was no one available to look at the truck and I needed to drop it off the next morning till he could have someone look at it. I was unable to do so as I need my vehicle to get to work. Having received such an unapologetic attitude I left and will find someone else to work on my families vehicles. Really disappointing overall and now I'm left with a vehicle which is unsafe to drive.
Did did a fair and complete job at a right price I enjoyed working with them and knowledgeable mechanics
