What a joke. I bet it's owned by Amazon. Find a product on Amazon that has a lot of obviously fake reviews. Not too hard - there are so many these days. Paste it onto this FAKE site. See what happens. Unbelievable. Integrity is dead.
I opened an online store on the shopify platform months ago and drove a ton of traffic to my site but ZERO sales. After several people told me there was a fakespot warning on my site, it made sense. I am a small business owner with nothing but great reviews on my Etsy shop and and in all of the marketplaces I use to sell my products so I am legit and am not out to scam anyone. Who are they to say otherwise just because I have a new online store with no reviews yet? I am so mad about this as are others in my small business circle trying to build up their brands and this app is making it hard for us to move forward. I understand the basis behind the app but the algorithm needs to be fixed! It's really messing with some legit small businesses just trying to make a living. I have reached out to them to remove it from my site and waiting to see what happens. Others I have spoken to have been waiting for weeks with no response. This has to stop!
Wow... they are being bought out by the same people that leave fake reviews on Amazon and countless other websites. I used this website to scan an Amazon page for a new item that I already could see had literally 98%+ obviously fake reviews and it initially
Showed up as F-, bad, untrusted, etc. That was in September. Beginning of November there were 4 or 5 more reviews, real ones, mostly lukewarm to negative. I check the same page again on Fakespot - A+, trusted, reliable...
