Most events have been scheduled on the far edges of the metroplex, which is an hour or more drive for me each way. I live 15 min. From downtown Dallas. It's quicker for me to go to downtown Fort Worth (35 min.) that The Colony, McKinney & N/E Texas. Also, there seem to be very few people in the groups over 55 so I'm not seeing anyone at all that I would actually date.
He never called me back I left a voice mail I ask him a question
I don't seem to find much in the San Jose area. Lots in SF. But feel it's limited in the San Jose area.
What a waste. You act like you vet your people but you really don't you promise group outings yet 2/3 people show up to events and age mixture is totally inappropriate and not everyone shows up single as promised by E and A… it took me months to get help in the beginning of my membership getting help to navigate the website and membership and I have emails showing the gaslighting and delays and rude responses from Reid. Your end of the contract was never fulfilled and you do not have safety protocols listed in your handbook. If you are going to allow creepy non social men to be in this group you definitely need safety guidelines and someone CLEARLY in charge of events. So many promises and I think 2 of my events were fun 2 … 2
It's a strange way to meet people, though kind of like paying to have people hang out with you, a little sad in a way. It's also expensive for the working class citizen.
I felt forced into getting this membership upon the interview process. There was no time to decide without "losing on the best pricing". Some events are fun and I've met good people but some are highly unorganized and few people show up.
My favorite event has been the Game Show. Hope you do more. Also enjoy playing Jenga, especially the one that have the truth or dare. Haven't been to much else. Too busy
It will almost be a year since I signed up-I work from home and just moved from another state. It was already hard making friends alone and with apps. The 'Seattle Freeze' is real... ROUGH. Ever since I've joined, I've made tons of friends, a couple close ones and have done so many activities and enjoyed practically all of them. It's nice to do things you're interested in doing or new things you want to try and be able to do, with like-minded individuals. It's nice to initiate relationships with exciting, fun and eventful activities. It also does help that we have a great event manager- Kari is amazing and has been so helpful and really cares about her members. I do like that we have the ability to suggest events and almost all of them make it on the calendar. I will say that some events can be pricy but there are a lot of free events as well as balanced cost events. The good thing is that we do have options. I can sum by saying I'm looking forward to more experiences and fun times^_^
I really enjoy meeting new folks of different ages. I believe it was March 18th that a group went to TopGolf. That was really fun. I wish we could've switched teams so that we could mingle with the whole group.
I joined to get out, participate in different events and just have fun. I've already met so many amazing people and had some great experiences
Overall I've been very happy with my E&A experience. It's been a great way to meet new people and discover new places. I've lived in this city for 45+ years and have visited places I've never heard of. The membership fee may be difficult for some people to do, but it and the interview process really do guarantee the quality of the people you will meet. I just wish some of the funds for the event fees were used on name tags at each event to help everyone learn so many new names. When I initially signed up, I had hoped to attend a trip with the group, but unfortunately the trips during my membership have been too long and/or too expensive. I wish there had been more long weekend trips within driving distance. In the beginning I was concerned how much younger the group was than me, but eventually I found members more my age.
Such an amazing group! I've been a member for many years, and keep recommending it. I've met some wonderful people, great friends, REAL friends. I'm gladly a lifetime member
Always have fun at these events meeting new people. Enjoy the variety of things we can do each month
Beautiful trip, amazing host (Belle). Trip to Guatemala to see Mayan ruins, fabulous. Belize has miles of fantastic caves that are awesome to travel through by canoe or tubing, very fun! Butterfly farm so beautiful! Big Rock Falls hike harrowing, but worth it! San Pedro has gorgeous beaches on the beautiful Caribbean coast, lots of great, local shops. Snorkeling is fantastic, just wish we could have done more. Did not like the entire day on the Vaca Lake pontoon boat; hikes to 3 waterfalls were rocky, muddy, slippery and dangerous. Would have preferred more time in San Pedro and more snorkeling opportunities, especially to the Blue Hole. Our amazing Belle went out of her way to try and arrange a Blue Hole snorkeling tour for us, but it didn't work out because our hotel staff failed to make our reservation. We discovered that trying to book water activities in San Pedro at the last minute is complicated, expensive, and leaves you with questionable tour guides since most tours are all booked up ahead of time.
Was good but the place was out of way in DC. Food was excellent and at a good price.
I enjoy being a member of E&A. It allows a busy person to meet new people and have fun doing activities with fun people by going to activities that fit my schedule in a relaxed environment. There is always something going on. It is great to go out and do things with other people. The hosts do a great job of making sure the activities go smoothly.
Overall, the company and the activities are spot on. They have a wide variety of activities for all sorts of personalities, and various times to accommodate the different schedules. This is something I would recommend for anyone new to the city or just wanting to get out. In fact, especially if you're new to a city and single, this is a must have to get to know your area and what's out there to do for fun. Even if you're financially struggling, I would put this high on the list of priorities, because overall, you still need to take care of your emotional health and be around people, and if you do the free and cheaper activities, it can be budget-friendly.
The one thing I think could be improved on is the experience for women. The men can be a bit predatory. And, while we can blame women and say "she should know not to trust men" and other similar sentiments, if we actually want women to have a pleasant experience, keep coming back, and recommend it to others, it needs to be a safe place, physically and emotionally. I don't know how Events and Adventures could address this, but perhaps there is a way. There shouldn't be any hesitation for men to ask women out. I wouldn't want men to ever feel like they couldn't be there to find a real relationship and connect with women. But, maybe some encouragement that the women aren't there to test drive or be conquered and thrown away. That, whatever someone's intentions, they should be communicated honestly upfront.
Again, no one is obligated to make it a good experience for women and we can always keep the status quo and blame women for ever trusting men. But, it depends if your objective is to keep women as active customers, then perhaps something could be done.
Other than that, it's been a great experience, and the people have been warm and welcoming.
Events and Adventures offer unique opportunities to experience uncommon activities
Answer: Negligence, lack of research, or maybe stupidity. The worst financial mistake I've made in a very long time!
