This is total scam.Asking for this type of membership social number also mentioned 6month free and I didn't get chance to read because I was in zoom call with Veronica from phone. She asked me to sign and didn't mentioned before I sign anytime I can cancel. When I asked she said we don't do this type's however there is a options 3days for cancellation. But saying 6month free then total amount for 18 month and another 30 fees for what? I am glad just checked and saw all the comments which makes me nervous.I could put 0star if they have options

Events are Fun
November 25, 2023

If you are a quiet, introvert type person, it is hard to meet people. It is hard fit in with the groups of friends already made. People are nice but tend to gather with the people the already know. Drinking seems to be a big part of events too. I have fun participating in the actual activities but meeting any friends. It has not happen yet. It has been 7 months since I joined

Good but could be better
November 20, 2023

The planned events success depends on the Host. Belle sets the example and ensures that an ice breaker is used to put the guests at ease. Some events do not facilitate an opportunity to get to know each other, but instead just participating in the event. The best events are dinners, trivia, escape rooms, and other team events where we get to work with each other. However, the cost of some of these events are expensive ($45 for a 1 hour escape room) and quite frankly unproductive as far as getting to know new people. Perhaps more date like events like the Opera, plays, concerts, and farmers markets. Also, recurring weekly events are great, as the same group of folks show up and bond. Maybe more weekly evenst at the same place, trivia nights, bowling, softball, or pickleball leagues?

Fun events and good friends!
November 13, 2023

I try to attend 4 to 6 events a month, however; I could fill my calendar with many more activities that I'd love to do if I had the time! There is truly something for everyone. I've met many wonderful friends, which makes it even more fun!

I had the unfortunate experience of joining "Events and Adventures," and I must say it was a complete waste of time and money. This company promises exciting events and the chance to meet interesting people, but in reality, it's nothing more than a money-grabbing scheme.

First and foremost, the financial aspect of this service is outrageous. They demand thousands of dollars upfront, followed by a $30 monthly fee, and then some of the events charge you extra to attend. It's like they are squeezing every last penny out of their members, leaving you feeling like a walking wallet.

To make matters worse, their cancellation policy is ridiculously unfair. You have a mere three days to cancel after joining before you're roped into this financial nightmare. They are fully aware that it takes time to truly understand the value (or lack thereof) in their service, yet they purposefully trap you in a contract with very little room for reconsideration.

But the financial aspect isn't even the worst part. The people I met through "Events and Adventures" were far from the interesting, like-minded individuals they promised. Instead, I found myself surrounded by individuals I would never willingly associate with in my normal life. It was a collection of people who seemed to have nothing in common with me, and the awkwardness of these encounters was simply unbearable.

In summary, "Events and Adventures" is a company that preys on the vulnerable desire for social interaction and adventure while robbing you blind. The exorbitant upfront and monthly fees, coupled with event charges, create a financial burden that's difficult to justify. On top of that, the people you meet may not be the kind of individuals you want to spend your time with. Save your money and look for social opportunities elsewhere; you'll thank yourself later.

Mostly, great events
September 21, 2023

I am getting out of this group what I was looking for, and that is an opportunity to do things and go places I wouldn't do by myself. I haven't found any real connections there, but that wasn't my first goal. My one struggle is that I'm in an office 5 days a week in an exhausting position-so sometimes mid week events are not terribly appealing

I've been involved quite a bit since I've joined. I've made many friends and enjoyed almost every aspect of the group. I am very disappointed that some of the events we attend cost MORE than if a person went individually. One event that comes to mind is mini golf event in late spring/early summer. I was planning to sign up for the event, but on a whim I checked the actual price on the golf course website - it was several dollars cheaper - and we didn't have the venue to ourselves. We all paid a good deal of money to join, regardless of term length, and it is illogical to pay more for ANYTHING that the general public would - when a group discount seems a lot more likely. Also, there almost always seems to be a bit of confusion on the part of the host, as if they showed up to take attendance, and have no clue as to any of the processes involved with that particular event.

Iceland Midnight Sun
July 6, 2023

I don't feel safe in terms of my health because I never heard or mentioned that the bus was sanitized everyday before we hopped on it. Also, there was no hand sanitizer can be found in the bus nor the tour leader or guide offered it. Also few members are coughing and sneezing and they're not protecting others by wearing mask or sit maybe at the very back sort of isolate themselves. I have to wear mask to protect from these members and flying with them in the plane back home. I have to keep at least 3 ft during conversation as well. They may misjudged me but I have to keep myself protected and sure indeed some travelers in the tour were tested positive for covid19. Incubation period is anywhere from 5-9 days in which very clearly I'm was not wrong to be cautious by wearing mask. I was the only one wearing mask and at the end, I never suffer any symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection especially covid19. Somewhat disorganized since our tour leader it's her first time to lead international trip and she drinks a lot too compared to the other trips I did in Galapagos and Alaska. Emily and Reed never drink more than 1 drink of alcohol if they do. They literally refused offers from the other members. Also, iterinary can be improved for options between age group since different age group can do or can't do the same thing. The tour can't be catered to one person who doesn't want to walk far and this spoils the rests of the group who wanted to walk or hike further for more adventures. This issue was fixed in Galapagos since the age group is way varied

My truth
July 3, 2023

Couple things: E&A is not cheap. I dunno what membership fees are now, but it was pretty expensive then and I can't imagine it's cheaper. That turns a lot of people off. That's also a good thing. The people who join are mostly employed, mostly successful, mostly semi-established, and not hard-core drunks/addicts.

Virtual Week Events are the best
June 12, 2023

So far, I have been on 1 in person event (paintball) and about 3+ virtual events, with my work schedule and home location, virtual events are the easiest for me to join and participate in. Looking to more virtual events and Paintball like events.

Not as Advertised
July 10, 2023

This group is not really for people like me. I was very open about what I was looking for with the membership salesperson. I said my age - 60 - and that I was looking for a special someone to marry. I was told that, while this is not a dating club, that it does happen and that people my age join all the time.

All I ever hear from any of the members is that they have NO INTEREST in dating anyone in the group. This completely eliminates the possibility of me obtaining my objectives, which I stated very clearly at the start.

It has been great to be in Events & Adventures. The people are great, the activities are fun, and I would recommend everyone try this. I just wish I had more free time to do more events.
