The eSpares website is deliberately pretending to be Irish company (.ie). Customers know that Screwfix is UK based and are not ordering from them as you get caught for customs charges. So Screwfix invents this website to camouflage their location and fool customers into thinking that they are ordering from Ireland. Last time I will use either of them. Shame on Screwfix.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ESPARE IF IN IRELAND.Ordered part for a clothes dryer. Part arrived damaged as no protective wrapping whatsoever on item.just put loose into a box.VAT paid on purchase. When arrived in Ireland I had to pay an extra 40 euro VAT as company did not declare VAT on purchase. I received refund on part but company refuses to refund VAT I had to pay in Ireland on an item that was received unusable.I have contacted espare numerous time and been told it will be paid in 3 to 5 working days multiple times. Obviously a tax scam on Espares part.
Do not buy anything from these scammers. ESpares Ireland is NOT an Irish company, despite the Irish domain that they use. You will be caught for customs charges and they won't bother their arses to reply to your email(s).
IRISH shoppers, avoid them at all costs.you will pay extra 23 % VAT and An Post fees...they are English company, although it says.ie at the end.
Worst company, has no commitment to its customers. You go shopping and they never deliver the product, let alone update you on the reason or status of purchase. I needed cancel my order for I don't have return, about My order.
Don't buy from espares.ie
They charge Irish customers vat/ customs.
Hoover bags in normally buy 14.99 ended up €21euro when I paid customs.
Stay clear
eSpares.ie is VAT registered in Ireland and invoice paid included VAT amount. However due internal logistics the parts are shipped from UK and were subject of additional VAT charges (on top of amount already including VAT) and processing charge. After several emails I have managed to reclaim VAT amount originally charged, which was 60% of the additional cost I had to pay Irish customs.
EUROPEAN CUSTOMER
Hi Just want to make anyone aware of this website. When you google the company it comes up as espares.ie - and you think it's an Irish company I ordered a smart remote control for my TV. It cost over €56. I was also charged delivery fee of €4.99. All this is okay but then I got an email that it was in Customs and I had to pay over €15 to have it released. The website www.espares.ie states nothing about this. BE VERY AWARE OF WHAT YOU BUY FROM THEM IF YOU LIVE IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND OR EUROPE. You'll be paying a hefty customs fee
