I ordered a part that was showing in stock, with a 1-3 day delivery. A week later the order was still being process with no delivery date. Would not do anything to expediate the the order and did not care that i cancelled and ordered from a company that cares.
I tried to order RIGHT HAND Freezer Pins for Top Flap, but only the left hand version was pictured on their website.
I tried to explain this to them by written email, but you refused to talk to me without a serial number that begins with "85" (but the serial number to my Hotpoint freezer does not begin with "85").
I tried to show them exactly what I needed, but you refused to accept any images sent to them.
I tried to contact them to talk to a human being about this question, but they refuse to use a telephone.
Good site, prompt delivery - have a huge selection of stuff that might break on your household appliances. They might not always be the cheapest, but have always found what I needed.
The worst company to buy from and their customer service is the worst. Also funny a company has no phone number. Def avoid them at all costs. If i could give them 0 stars i would have.
The espares website is easy to use and make orders.
However once payment has been made, the customer service is non existent.
Against our better judgement (of not using a local spares shop) and for ease we ordered a tumble dryer belt that was urgently required.
The postage options are poor with no next day delivery however we assumed with a postage charge the items would be delivered promptly - a la amazon!
Received an email confirming despatch, however espares use Royal Mail, possibly the worst delivery service available.
The item never arrived. We contacted customer services and had contact with Safiyyyaahh.
Despite the item being well overdue already, and they couldn't locate where the item was - ie tracking, she still said we'd have to wait 10 WORKING days to be able to file a claim against Royal Mail and only then would they send another item out.
For an £8 item I expected a much better service and more proactivity to sort the issue out.
Do not use Espares unless are certain the item will arrive or it is not urgent as they will not care once you have made payment.
I found the service given by e spares excellent. What I ordered arrived safely and quickly. I was grateful as I new what I wanted but it could not be bought locally. Thank-you
I bought a dyson battery 1 year ago, mainly because their site shows an image of their 'superior batteries' against the cheap knock-offs found on eBay and Amazon.
One year later the battery failed, which leads me to believe there's no difference between the poor quality batteries and espare batteries, only that at least you know what you're getting when you buy a cheap battery.
I emailed espares for a replacement or refund with the order number, part number and all other relevant info. They replied asking for the model of dyson I had, which was odd, seeing as the part number and order confirmation email had clearly shown the compatibility. I sent it, and they told me that the part had failed because it was 'incompatible', which was doubly odd seeing as it was sold as an OEM battery for the exact dyson it had been used in, clearly specified on their website.
I then received an email saying they were processing a refund and I should wait 5 - 7 days. After 7 working days I contacted them to ask where my refund was. They told me there had been a problem with the refund but I should wait 5 - 7 days for a refund. 7 working days later I emailed to ask where my refund was and they asked for my PayPal address. I gave it and they said it would take another 5 - 7 days to refund.
I think any reasonable person would feel fobbed off at this point without any real expectation that they are honestly attempting to issue a refund.
So in summary: I bought an expensive, poor quality battery. They keep promising a refund and giving poor excuses for delays.
If this review is not updated, that means I still have not received a refund. I will however update this if they do, stating how long it actually took.
Make of this what you will.
Ordered a part for a dishwasher at 19.35 found it was the wrong part so ordered the new part and returned the old they gave me a refund of 3.99 what a joke, don't use this company scam merchants
15. 9. 2022. I ordered a part from eSpares.
17. 9. 2022. Email from Royal Mail advising me that the delivery date for the order was to be the 17th of September.
17. 9. 2022. The second email from Royal Mail advised me that they returned the parcel to eSpares and that I should contact them for further information. - Sent an email to eSpares telling them of the emails from Royal Mail.
21. 9. 2022. Enquiry assigned a ticket ref and that a member of the Customer Experience team will contact me.
21. 9. 2022. Email from Safiyyah - eSpares team - telling me that they dispatched the order on the 15th of September and that I should wait ten days.
Did she not read my email with the screenshots of the Royal Mail messages?
22. 9. 2022. Reply to eSpares, that I was aware of the despatch date, but the issue was with Royal Mail returning the parcel - screenshots of the RM emails are attached.
26. 9. 2022 email to eSpares. Referring to my previous emails emphasizing that the parcel was returned to them by Royal Mail. I also, once again, attached the screenshot of the Royal Mail email.
26. 9. 2022. Email from Caroline eSpares Customer Care -
"The refund will be issued on the return of the item back into the warehouse."
27. 9. 2022. Email to eSpares advising that under the" Consumer Rights Act 2015, they are responsible for the goods until they are handed over to me or someone appointed by me." Once again, I attached a screenshot of the Royal Mail messages.
28. 9. 2022 email to eSpares requesting them to let me know when they will refund my money.
29. 9. 2022. Email from eSpares advising that they have received the item and that it will be checked and if everything is satisfactory they will issue a refund.
How many times do they have to be told that they are responsible for the item until it has been delivered.
29. 9. 2022. Email advising me that they have issued a refund.
I ordered a freezer drawer in December. They told me after I ordered that this was a "special order item" and I had to wait 28 days.
In Jan, I asked for an update and they told me they still hadn't received it and would dispatch to me once they had it but couldn't give a date.
I asked again in Feb but received the same response. I asked again in March and they then told me it would arrive by 31/03. In April, I still didn't have it and asked again for an update. They told me it would arrive by 19/05.
19/05 came along and I still didn't have the drawer. I asked for a refund and they cancelled my order 27/05. I was told my refund would take five working days by cheque (I paid via PayPal so they're forcing me to accept a refund method via different means then how I paid).
20/06 I still have no drawer and no refund! I asked and they've told me the cheque was issued 11/06 (two weeks after my cancellation) to wait another week.
So to summarise, they've taken seven months to not deliever the item I ordered, then tried refunding me via different means then how I paid and haven't processed the refund in an acceptable timeframe. They advertised a product they couldn't source and lied about its availability repeatedly.
AVOID USING THIS SITE!
Ordered 15th December still not received January 4th Just keep on getting the same email to wait 15 days. Not satisfied.
Last june I orderd heat sensor for my caravan fridge £ 89,40 now october still no sensor I HAVE ASKED 9TIMES for my refund asked for a phone call all I GET IS A TICKET NUMBER VERY POOR
I ordered a part for a broken tumble dryer - a belt. It wasn't until they had taken my cash for an item in stock they said it wouldn't arrive for 7 days - even though they made me pay for delivery. My wife is disabled and needs this badly. I couldn't call them. Their web site said fill in a form online - I did - it replied that they would acknowledge my note within 48 hours! If my enquiry was important then go online and chat. This I did. I was told I was talking to "Fiona". I explained I needed the part next day - could I pay more for that? Could she expedite it? If not I needed to cancel - started spouting "terms and conditions". Couldn't cancel apparently. I cited UK and EU Law of Contract about delivery. I asked if this was an off shore call centre - no reply. I asked to speak to someone senior - no reply. I asked to cancel - said they couldn't guarantee it would be cancelled! I asked for a refund - was told to order another product, pay again, express deliver that one, then send the second one coming later back to them and they would then consider a refund! After a very heated debate she said she would talk to the warehouse and ask for fast shipment - but couldn't do that if I cancelled my order. I accepted that... nothing for a day. Then a note to say 24 hours later it had been sent to despatch. Nothing for another 24 hours. No way of tracking. SO, basically, don't deal with them. Don't give a monkey's about customer service, won't solve customer issues, spout terms and conditions, their call centre CLEARLY doesn't understand UK Law, can't escalate, or cancel with a guaranteed refund. Don't touch these people with a bargepole - they don't give two XXXXs about customers. Even when I said I was a mystery shopper and would write to the National Press with the transcript of the conversation they barely waivered - but it was only then that the offer to talk to the warehouse was made.
Answer: Nope haven't had success in the 2 times I've ordered.
Answer: Don't bother, Im not sure they've heard of customer service.
