I have been searching for a good quality stove for several years now and during my search I came across Drolet stoves. After researching the specs, I decided upon the Myriad lll. Now my next concern was shipping. One website said that there would be a $799 shipping fee. That's understandable because the stove weighs 400 lbs. When I found efireplacestore.com, it said free shipping. It recommended the $75 for unloading with a lift gate. I paid the $75 and it was well worth it. The stove was delivered in a sturdy crate, the driver stayed at my home while I uncrated and I was able to sign off as there was no damage. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. 5 stars for the whole process.
I recently purchased 2 vermiculite boards for my Drolet wood burner. Efireplace not only had the best price, but also has the best customer/claim service. The first set of boards I received were severely broken. I filed a claim (which is extremely easy to do) and a second set was sent which was also severely damaged. These boards are very fragile and were more than likely damaged in transit. I filed another claim. The third set of boards was packed inside of another box and was not damaged at all. Thank you to Efireplace for working with me to get these boards.
My purchase was easy, and efficient. The stove arrived according to schedule, and the driver of the delivery truck helped hand-ferry the palletized stove back the lane to my studio. It was all simple, thanks.
We ordered a fireplace unit And then canceled 17 hours later and was told we would receive a confirmation of the cancellation. A few hours later they sent an acknowledgment of shipment through FedEx. We called immediately and was told the cancellation apparently wasn't seen by the shipping department so it was shipped. I called FedEx and told them we would refuse the item and we never saw a FedEx truck come to our home to make the delivery. Now they are saying we signed for the delivery - not true. Efireplacestore told us the item was returned damaged and that we were responsible for the restocking charges which was $616.46-WOW. Lookout or you too could lose hundreds.
Compared prices with Amazon and found eFireplace cheaper. Simply bought vermiculite board, but it was well-packaged when delivered and the delivery was handled with emails in which I was informed the package was to arrive and another that told me it was here. Easy peasy.

They are very quick to give advice but that does not mean the will ship what you order. I ordered chimmey pipe and the increased lenght of one section making chimmey to tall. Returns are a unforgatable night mare. Force you to pay return shipping and tell you a go idea ti insure. Then tell you no credit damaged in return. Will not allow shipper any photos or a place to inspect. These peple ar just drop shippers and do not want ANY returns

eFireplaceStore.com sold me a $3000 gas fireplace insert in 7/2020 that was operated for the first time and identified as defective in December 2021 and they have done nothing helpful to service the unit or refund my money. eFireplaceStore.com required me to hire at my own expense ($300) a certified NFI technician to verify the failure of the unit due to an internal problem. EFireplaceStore is now advising me that they want me to wait until 4/1/2021 for the manufacturer (RH Peterson) to find and send me a replacement gas valve (an off the shelf part) despite the fact that they have in writing advised that that part may not be the actual cause of the system failure. Are you willing to risk the entire value of your order in the event that the product that eFireplaceStore.com sells you is defective? Are you willing to waste months communicating with eFireplaceStore.com support as you sit in your cold house and look at the defective fireplace while they do nothing to replace, repair, or refund the cost of the product?
Wow, these fire logs work great. Wonderful source of secondary heat and they look real too. Better than expected. Beats the heat going up the chimney.

Answer: Hi Ed, Thanks so much for your interest. That's a fair question as receiving freight shipments is not, generally, a normal part of the day for most people. Yes, the customer does indeed need to be present at time of delivery. This is to not only physically receive the freight but also to inspect it and sign for it. Most freight companies will not allow their driver to simply drop the freight without the customer being present. Regarding the unloading, there are two options listed below. These are common for online sales and delivery. You can choose "curbside delivery" which is free and will have the driver bring the freight to you but the unloading is your responsibility. Often, our customers will back up their pick-up truck the rear of the delivery trailer. That way the merchandise can be off-loaded into their vehicle and they can drive it right up to the home. Alternatively, you can choose "liftgate delivery" which includes a hydraulic tailgate on the rear of the delivery truck for lowering the merchandise down to the ground. This option carries a cost of $75. Once off-loaded to the ground, moving the freight up to the home is the customer's responsibility. Regarding "hidden costs" there are none - unless a delivery appointment is made and then broken by the customer. The shipping company levies a $130 redelivery fee to have the merchandise brought back out to the customer. However, this only applies if the customer changes their mind on the delivery appointment or the delivery address after the delivery has been scheduled. In either case, at time of delivery, it is very important that the shipment be fully inspected for loss or damage prior to the shipment being signed for and received.
