My wife and I recently purchased a fireplace insert and chimney lining supplies (she purchased the fireplace she wanted, I went back and purchased the installation supplies) and despite an error I am still giving them 5 stars! The fireplace arrived quickly and everything was perfect. When I received the installation supplies - the wrong parts were sent. When I contacted customer services my call was answered quickly, I was given simple instructions to correct the issue and was sent the correct parts the following day. The correct parts were FedEx delivered on a Sunday! Great products, Great Service! I will definitely use this company again in the future.
The ordering process was very smooth, the selection of product was great, and delivery was quick. The fireplace tools are very nice, took about 10 minutes to assemble, and are perfect for the fireplace. A very pleasant ordering experience.

Oreered a stove and I had to call the manufacturer to get a part number for a stack takeoff from the stove.
This I think they should have known. I in turn had to order it a week later and pay shipping again when it could if been included on the original pallet.

Every thing involved from ordering to instalation to the use of our fireplace has been positive. The only problem is the screen which needs a better way of staying closed, we had to purchase another screen to insure safety.
I requested the price and availability of a firescreen. It was followed up with an email quote. The next day I received a followup phone call if I had any questions. This is extraordinary in this day and age.

I called to get specific info to match a Empire furnace damaged on a Fish house Wheel house due to an accident in transit. I needed to match all ducting and venting to safely replace what I had installed as a pkg. The Technician helped via a call back after he investigated all necessary adaptations and performance issues to get an acceptable match. The Tech also shared where the info was located in my original Empire guide and shared the part numbers and placed the order for me. This was a first time purchase at the eFireplace Store. I had been shopping for a set of fireplace tools, for a Christmas gift. The person who answered the phone was knowledgeable, courteous and gave me a prompt delivery date-not to mention a better price, for a quality set of tools!
I ordered an item in the evening and found out it was the wrong thing, So I contacted the company in the morning after checking to see if the shipment was picked, which is was not. I asked them to stop the shipment and cancel order but they continue to ship and it was shipped to the wrong address. So I had to go to bbb and also argue with their non customer service they have.
I put in a concise review and the SITEJABBER rejected it because it was less than 50 characters. The experience with e-fireplace was great, but the idea that a communication cannot be meaningful unless it exceeds 49 characters is insulting and offensive. I don't expect this to be published, but I hope that the person screening these comments doesn't just ignore my frustration and change comes from the investment of my time to communicate honestly with you.
We ordered a ventless fireplace with ceramic logs and ceramic liner. I opened the fireplace box once the driver dropped it off and it was fine, exterior cardboard box not damaged. The problem came when the installer opened the undamaged box for the refractory panel liner and 2 of the 3 panels were broken in half. Packaging insufficient for fragile inserts. Since we were doing an addition, it was 4 weeks since we purchased the unit. Upon sending the photos and filing a claim, they said since we didn't open we can't prove it was broken in transit and since it wasn't noted on the shipping label, they would do nothing but offer an apology. Paid $350 for broken panels. Unless you are going to make sure the driver (who wants to leave) stays the 20 minutes it takes to open every box and inspect, don't waste your time.

I order triple wall pipe from them for my wood stove only to find out it was the wrong sizes. The one pace of pipe had a dent in the side and the middle was a little pushed in. Not thinking anything of it after all i am a single mom putting in wood stove pipe is new to me. Well anyway they sent me the wrong size pipe so spent the $60 to shipped it all back a. A week later then they send me a email saying the one pipe was damged and i would have to eat the money i paid for the pipe and the $60 and the $40 i had to pay back for them to ship it to me. Or i could pay for shipping again to have the pipe sent back to me. I cant understand how this company is still around. I will never refer them to anyone.

Answer: Hi Ed, Thanks so much for your interest. That's a fair question as receiving freight shipments is not, generally, a normal part of the day for most people. Yes, the customer does indeed need to be present at time of delivery. This is to not only physically receive the freight but also to inspect it and sign for it. Most freight companies will not allow their driver to simply drop the freight without the customer being present. Regarding the unloading, there are two options listed below. These are common for online sales and delivery. You can choose "curbside delivery" which is free and will have the driver bring the freight to you but the unloading is your responsibility. Often, our customers will back up their pick-up truck the rear of the delivery trailer. That way the merchandise can be off-loaded into their vehicle and they can drive it right up to the home. Alternatively, you can choose "liftgate delivery" which includes a hydraulic tailgate on the rear of the delivery truck for lowering the merchandise down to the ground. This option carries a cost of $75. Once off-loaded to the ground, moving the freight up to the home is the customer's responsibility. Regarding "hidden costs" there are none - unless a delivery appointment is made and then broken by the customer. The shipping company levies a $130 redelivery fee to have the merchandise brought back out to the customer. However, this only applies if the customer changes their mind on the delivery appointment or the delivery address after the delivery has been scheduled. In either case, at time of delivery, it is very important that the shipment be fully inspected for loss or damage prior to the shipment being signed for and received.
