“Good Speeds At Night, Less So During The Day!”

Peter P.
11/22/21

Have been with EE for about three weeks for their home broadband service. Speeds vary depending on time of the day. During office hours it can be slow and skype suffers. During the night-time and early morning it is very fast without issues. For £35 a month the price is worth it and I cannot see any mention of data caps. I watch a lot of Netflix and NOW TV and have had no problems thus far.

“Disgusting service and false accusations”

Barrie W.
9/25/22

Had a rather expensive mobile broadband deal, capped at 50gb for £64 a month, when they merrily offered unlimited data for business customers. Device they supplied failed within a year. Twice they accused me of getting the device from a third party, and when shown the paperwork, no apology. They then admitted this device was not fully supported by their network. So lied to and missold an item from the off. After two years went to Three Mobile, £26 a month unlimited. Avoid EE at all costs

I took my galaxy Zflip phone into Lakeside store as after having it for 4 months the cover had lifted and bubbled. I was told to back up the phone and I could take it to any store and it would be fixed as it had been identified as a known fault. I backed it up and took it to Basildon store. They thoroughly checked it over and sent it off. I then get a call with a quote for over £300 to have it fixed as it was damaged! Basildon clearly documented there was no marks or dents. Its never been drooped and has always had a full sturdy cover on it. Awful service.

Send my phone in brilliant condition to trade in for money. Got a good quote. The I receive email back that instead of £97 they offer me £1 as there is no battery working. Requested it to be send back. Battery working but screen is not. I have photos to prove it was in excellent condition with everything working. Now they saying it's not their fault. Scammers. Do not trade in your phone!

I was with EE for 5 years. On a 200gb plan. I now have free WiFi, so dont need 200gb.My contract with them was nearly over. I phoned them up about getting a lower net contract for around 30gb... Only offer they made was for £21 per month... More than double the price of ALL competition. No thanks. Getting ripped off is a no. I moved to another company getting 20gb for £8... Massive different. Goodbye EE

Awful company, I've had a new EE sim for just 6 weeks and have had constant issues with patchy service, dropped calls and missed texts. I called and talked to a technical advisor who confirmed from looking at my call and data record that there are issues with my service in my home and work postcodes in South Devon. I was asked to try and downgrade my mobile data from 5G to 2G(?!) in my phone's settings, but then referred to a second technical advisor to review the time stamped data that showed the issues clearly on his screen. The second advisor he passed me to however said he had to call me back as there was an issue at his site with being able to see these call logs. When he called back later in the evening he gave me a ridiculous story about the call data log not being clear or showing any issues at all, this all while his voice dropped in and out on a scratchy line during our call! Basically EE are not going to honour letting me out of my contract even though the service is shockingly bad and not reliable. I work in social community care and I have had issues affecting clients while out and about because of the terrible phone service. Don't trust EE, they are cheats and the mobile signal is appalling.

I had my phone stolen and was told I'd still have to pay out the contract. This I agreed to. When the contract ended EE still continued taking the monthly payment for7 months. When I discovered I was still paying for it I was told it had been my responsibility to cancel it. On cancelling it today, I was told there had to be a 30 day cancellation period.in other words I would still have to pay a further month...for a phone I have not had for 2 years! I have informed EE I shall be leaving them and using another provider.

I escorted my sister who wanted to buy a pay as you go card for a trip abroad. She clearly explained this to Fatima, a sales person who then sold her a simcard. To confirm what we could use the card for, my sister asked if she could use the simcard for making calls from abroad and Fatima said no. We then asked for a refund and she rudely replied that they do not do any refunds nor do they receive any training to do so!. When we insisted on talking to the manager, she started shouting at us and even called the mall security to try and get us to leave. EE should up it's game if it wants to keep it's loyal customers. Having arrogant and rude sales people does not help your bussiness.

Awful company. Greedy company. Charging silly prices for a service which is shocking and lack of loyalty. There are better services and contracts at cheaper rates. 14.4% increase per phone when I've been with them for 20 years and I two phones with them. Over £180 per month.

After several attempts (spanning a week here n there) to try and purchase a S22+ 256gb on a trade in deal on their website it kept crashing and looping back to their home page. Spoke to Charlotte on the FB messenger team of EE and was advised to clear cache/ cookies, done that still would not allow me to place an order. So I tried again and found a cracking deal but of course I could not complete the order, eventually rang them and they would not honor the offer even though I sent them a screen shot of the deal, shocking really.
The offer they had (and I have numerous screen grabs) was for a S22+ 256gb in Green, Unltd Data calls texts etc, Trade in my S20 Plus to get £14 a month off, £30 upfront then £27.50 a month after the trade in discount. Even though this was a mistake they will not honor it. I cannot get any offer or deal to go through their website as it keeps looping back to home page. Spoke to Sales team, spoke to the E chat team, Rishan, spoke to Olivia in the office and Malcolm, none of which can honor the offer. I was even advised to go to CAB. So I have reported to the ASA, OFGEM and will plaster the images all over social media to prove my point.

Hi Steve, hope you're well. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm really sorry to hear that you've not been able to get the offer you had seen. I know you've already spoken with us on social media. Id love if you could come back so we can take another look at what's what for you.

If you can pop us a message on EE's Facebook or Twitter and mention I have sent you over from Trustpilot we can pick it up and go from there.

Look forward to speaking with you -Sam

Dear Sam, I have already sent numerous messages on FB and sent complaints in via your official procedure but as of yet still nothing. Stand by your statements and empty promises and come up with the goods.

PS 1 week later and your website STILL will not let me complete an order online.

Tip for consumers:
Search reviews online for EE, they are terrible. Avoid them at all costs.

It seems easier to get out of the mafia than leave EE. I had a mobile wifi box for years. I was well outside any contract and didn't end up needing it anymore so tried to cancel. I tried to call and could never get through. I tried to email yet no email exists. I ended up writing 2 letters, again no response. I still was charged by DD so ended up cancelling my DD.

Now I get endless letters from them threatening to disconnect me (please do! Like I asked) saying I owe them money and continue to manufacturer charges for a service I do not want, need or use. Good luck with taking me legal. EE If you think people are going to take your nonsense, you are sorely mistaken.

Even their complains web link doesn't work. What a shambles this outfit are. NEVER get involved with these people. They are shocking.

They continue to hassle me, and have sent a letter saying if I pay them for this ongoing mobile broadband, then they will consider having me back. They threaten with an outfit called Moorcroft debt recovery. For so called debt THEY created!

LOL You couldn't make it up. AVOID like the plague. Don't give in to their bully boy tactics

I have been with EE for 4+ years having taken 2x24 month contacts with EE. The service has been terrible and the phone not very good. A 32GB iPhone 7 is not a good deal. EE has applied an add-on without my permission and this has been really frustrating and expensive. I have tried to have this add-on removed several times and the customer service has been terrible. The customer service agents have been really rude and unhelpful. They are only concerned with making money out of the contract and I am convinced that leaving EE is a good idea. I wouldn't recommend taking out a contract with EE. They are not competitive and you will be sold a crappy deal which you wish you never agreed to.

After taking out another contract with EE when upgrading my mobile, I did make it clear what my monthly payment limit was. I signed the contract and within 6 weeks I received and email telling me my contract had increased by £6 per month! What is the point of the contract... of course customers will be penalised if they break the contract, but EE can break their terms of the contract at any time. I can't wait to leave this company.

I am quietly sitting waiting for EE to connect my home broadband. No so bad you may think. But this is the 4th time I have been quietly sitting waiting and as we head for 5pm, its looking unlikely again.

They have given me connection dates 4 times and failed to hit them. When I call (they dont call me, that would hint at good service) they sound in chaos. No idea whats happening.

I am heading for a month without broadband, bit like going back to the 60's. Maybe EE are going retro.

A most Pathetic experience. 3rd trail of EE pay as you go simm card. They tell you to insert it, thats all and it will be set up in 24hrs. Rubbish. I waited 48 hrs nothing. Tries chat box online to sort it. 3 times the chat box disappeared. I called EE, the guy didnt even know what a Chat help box was. Technician trying to help me went to put me through to another dept. as usual phone cut off. Each time I enter a number I am told its wrong eventually the 100th recorder message instead of a human says its not an EE number... hahahahahaha its written write in front of me. WHY WOULD I TAKE THING ANYFIRTHER WITH SUCH A BUNCH OF $#*!S WORKING THERE AND EE CARDS THAT SIMPLY PUT... THEY DO NOT WORK''''!"!"!

We have had nothing but problems with EE. We have 4 separate mobile accounts in our household, all from EE and each time we have an issue, EE is initially helpful in taking the phone and sending it for repair but then the fun begins! We have had a handset come back damaged, one unrepaired and existing fault as before, charges made for handsets as they say they are 'water damaged' when they have never been near water, unreliable store managers who make empty promises and all in all the most unreliable, unhelpful, uncaring company I have ever had to deal with. You will even struggle to get through to Customer Services to lodge a complaint as there is no direction for this service either on the website or via the phone and it just adds to the frustration of dealing with such a unprofessional company. Steer clear if at all possible and go to Car Phone Warehouse who have regrettably had their T-Mobile (EE) business curbed significantly.

Had a call from EE REP asking if we would like to EE Home Phone & Broadband, one of the main thing we asked them was about the IP address as we have a CCTV System. The EE man did not no the answer so he asked someone else... His reply back to us was it was a fixed IP address.
As this would make life easier with our CCTV, we proceed with this & it would be fitted on the 5 of December.
After looking at the IP address to find it change was not as it was sold to us.
Called EE on *******586 the first person hung up before I even got past fixed IP... but got a text from 249 would I recommend EE to a friend. No
Called again spoken to a nice man that could see that we did not have what we was sold, but could not do anything.
I have logged this with Ofcom becouse We feel that we was miss sole the hole thing By EE
Would I recommend EE to anyone NO NO NO.

I think it will be easier to copy the message I have sent to EE with regards to our latest issue (Key word there LATEST, suggesting this isn't the only issue we've had) -

"Hi This needs to be read thoroughly and sorted immediately as I am disabled with a number of mental health issues.

My partner had his phone stolen on Monday. EE shop said they can give him a new one, that someone will deliver it. The man turned up Tuesday with the new phone and asked for the old phone. My partner was obviously like WHAT? It was stolen how can i hand the old one over? The man left not giving him the new phone. He had to phone again for them to say they are 'so so sorry' with this delivery mans behaviour and that they are removing this "£25 fee". My partner then said "I need to know for certain that this time it will be coming" and they said it will be coming yesterday between 6pm and 10pm. They printed off the paper and my other half asked them to read it out through the phone to confirm that it is that date, time, name and address.

TICK TOCK half 10pm (I need a lot of care in the evenings and need to be in bed at about 10pm so you can imagine the hindrance) NO person delivering the phone. I was absolutely furious at this point. To know there was nothing I could do to help my partner

When he went in to ask them in store about the phone he was also told in store that he will get a free tablet for being a long time customer (EE since it was born and Orange before that) and when he told me i said WHAT WHERE? What do you have to do to get it? If you get a free tablet why didn't they send you home with it? (This is when he visited in store East Grinstead to arrange the first delivery of the new phone)

He then phoned again this morning for which he had to take time out of work to do as they refused to pay him for being on hold to a company... He has now been told the same thing that they will deliver the same time today between 6-10. He is working 7am until 10pm and not home until half 10 and I am here alone, and as I have mentioned I am ILL and can't open the door. I was attacked by a delivery man last year and can't do that again. Do you see the severe effects this has? Just for not doing what you promised you were going to do for one customer? The knock on effect that it has...

We also have broadband with EE and I just can't do this any more. IF this is the level of customer service I just think what happens if we need help with internet? So we could just move to BT and not have all this hassle when things go wrong

Before you assume "OH well some person can't use their phone so what just means they need to use something else" We do not have a home phone or any other phone, that is the phone we need for emergencies. THAT is the phone that is used to phone my support worker or the ambulance when something happens to me with my health issues. We have not been able to do that. It makes me feel sick to my stomach enough that there are people in this world that think it's okay to TAKE something from someone else. To STEAL. It makes me so so sad.

Before you tell me to phone the help number i cannot use the phone even if we had one."

Their reply hours later... "unfortunately we don't have access to accounts here and can only ask you to call at your earliest convenience for further support with this issue. You can reach them on 150 from any EE handset or ******* 966 250 from any other phone. " (!)
