With BT for many years, when I went to renew my contract I was steered to EE who were now effectively BT, I was told.
The strong recommendation was to get changed over in these early stages and I would benefit from much better value and a seamless change over….since "EE IS BT".
It is not. It is a much more complex story than that evidently and in 7 months I have:
*Never had the promised broadband speeds.
*Never had my landline working properly.
*Never been able to merge email addresses or the payment methods for the mobile phone service and the landline/B/band bills.
We are an older couple and my husband is disabled. We rely on these services. I have spent hours on the phone speaking to very pleasant agents, who promise much and leave me feeling hopeful that the service will at last be sorted….only to be disappointed when NOTHING CHANGES!
I am now supposed to have had my issues escalated, but almost a week after the limit of the time they said to allow to sort everything out……nothing.
Oh wait a minute….they will probably say they "haven't been able to contact me and have rung several times"…but guess what EE, my landline doesn't work!
Have been with EE for about three weeks for their home broadband service. Speeds vary depending on time of the day. During office hours it can be slow and skype suffers. During the night-time and early morning it is very fast without issues.
For £35 a month the price is worth it and I cannot see any mention of data caps. I watch a lot of Netflix and NOW TV and have had no problems thus far.
Awful company. Greedy company. Charging silly prices for a service which is shocking and lack of loyalty. There are better services and contracts at cheaper rates. 14.4% increase per phone when I've been with them for 20 years and I two phones with them. Over £180 per month.
After taking out another contract with EE when upgrading my mobile, I did make it clear what my monthly payment limit was. I signed the contract and within 6 weeks I received and email telling me my contract had increased by £6 per month! What is the point of the contract... of course customers will be penalised if they break the contract, but EE can break their terms of the contract at any time. I can't wait to leave this company.
Send my phone in brilliant condition to trade in for money. Got a good quote. The I receive email back that instead of £97 they offer me £1 as there is no battery working. Requested it to be send back. Battery working but screen is not. I have photos to prove it was in excellent condition with everything working. Now they saying it's not their fault. Scammers. Do not trade in your phone!
They left me with no main line phone. Which set of my Security I had to get onto the Security company, I'm recovering from an operation. My doctor couldn't get hold of me because the mobile service which is also with EE the signal was so bad. I would not recommend them.
Had a rather expensive mobile broadband deal, capped at 50gb for £64 a month, when they merrily offered unlimited data for business customers. Device they supplied failed within a year. Twice they accused me of getting the device from a third party, and when shown the paperwork, no apology. They then admitted this device was not fully supported by their network. So lied to and missold an item from the off. After two years went to Three Mobile, £26 a month unlimited. Avoid EE at all costs
I took my galaxy Zflip phone into Lakeside store as after having it for 4 months the cover had lifted and bubbled. I was told to back up the phone and I could take it to any store and it would be fixed as it had been identified as a known fault. I backed it up and took it to Basildon store. They thoroughly checked it over and sent it off. I then get a call with a quote for over £300 to have it fixed as it was damaged! Basildon clearly documented there was no marks or dents. Its never been drooped and has always had a full sturdy cover on it. Awful service.
I escorted my sister who wanted to buy a pay as you go card for a trip abroad. She clearly explained this to Fatima, a sales person who then sold her a simcard. To confirm what we could use the card for, my sister asked if she could use the simcard for making calls from abroad and Fatima said no. We then asked for a refund and she rudely replied that they do not do any refunds nor do they receive any training to do so!. When we insisted on talking to the manager, she started shouting at us and even called the mall security to try and get us to leave. EE should up it's game if it wants to keep it's loyal customers. Having arrogant and rude sales people does not help your bussiness.
I was with EE for 5 years. On a 200gb plan. I now have free WiFi, so dont need 200gb.My contract with them was nearly over. I phoned them up about getting a lower net contract for around 30gb... Only offer they made was for £21 per month... More than double the price of ALL competition. No thanks. Getting ripped off is a no. I moved to another company getting 20gb for £8... Massive different. Goodbye EE
I had my phone stolen and was told I'd still have to pay out the contract. This I agreed to. When the contract ended EE still continued taking the monthly payment for7 months. When I discovered I was still paying for it I was told it had been my responsibility to cancel it. On cancelling it today, I was told there had to be a 30 day cancellation period.in other words I would still have to pay a further month...for a phone I have not had for 2 years! I have informed EE I shall be leaving them and using another provider.
They just stopped my SIM card from working with out any further notice my number just won't offline I had pay as you go sim I contacted them and asked to get my number back live they didn't help at all. They advised me to get new SIM as impossible to get my previous number back which I had for years. My number was *******3777
I have been with EE for 4+ years having taken 2x24 month contacts with EE. The service has been terrible and the phone not very good. A 32GB iPhone 7 is not a good deal. EE has applied an add-on without my permission and this has been really frustrating and expensive. I have tried to have this add-on removed several times and the customer service has been terrible. The customer service agents have been really rude and unhelpful. They are only concerned with making money out of the contract and I am convinced that leaving EE is a good idea. I wouldn't recommend taking out a contract with EE. They are not competitive and you will be sold a crappy deal which you wish you never agreed to.
Worst experience I have ever had. Awful. Overcharging. Terrible. I would never go out of my way to write a bad review. But this time, I'm sorry but just terrible…
I am quietly sitting waiting for EE to connect my home broadband. No so bad you may think. But this is the 4th time I have been quietly sitting waiting and as we head for 5pm, its looking unlikely again.
They have given me connection dates 4 times and failed to hit them. When I call (they dont call me, that would hint at good service) they sound in chaos. No idea whats happening.
I am heading for a month without broadband, bit like going back to the 60's. Maybe EE are going retro.
It seems easier to get out of the mafia than leave EE. I had a mobile wifi box for years. I was well outside any contract and didn't end up needing it anymore so tried to cancel. I tried to call and could never get through. I tried to email yet no email exists. I ended up writing 2 letters, again no response. I still was charged by DD so ended up cancelling my DD.
Now I get endless letters from them threatening to disconnect me (please do! Like I asked) saying I owe them money and continue to manufacturer charges for a service I do not want, need or use. Good luck with taking me legal. EE If you think people are going to take your nonsense, you are sorely mistaken.
Even their complains web link doesn't work. What a shambles this outfit are. NEVER get involved with these people. They are shocking.
They continue to hassle me, and have sent a letter saying if I pay them for this ongoing mobile broadband, then they will consider having me back. They threaten with an outfit called Moorcroft debt recovery. For so called debt THEY created!
LOL You couldn't make it up. AVOID like the plague. Don't give in to their bully boy tactics
Awful company, I've had a new EE sim for just 6 weeks and have had constant issues with patchy service, dropped calls and missed texts. I called and talked to a technical advisor who confirmed from looking at my call and data record that there are issues with my service in my home and work postcodes in South Devon. I was asked to try and downgrade my mobile data from 5G to 2G(?!) in my phone's settings, but then referred to a second technical advisor to review the time stamped data that showed the issues clearly on his screen. The second advisor he passed me to however said he had to call me back as there was an issue at his site with being able to see these call logs. When he called back later in the evening he gave me a ridiculous story about the call data log not being clear or showing any issues at all, this all while his voice dropped in and out on a scratchy line during our call! Basically EE are not going to honour letting me out of my contract even though the service is shockingly bad and not reliable. I work in social community care and I have had issues affecting clients while out and about because of the terrible phone service. Don't trust EE, they are cheats and the mobile signal is appalling.
I had to change my number after being scammed by premium text scam, ee were very helpful changed my number straight away no problem, couldn't fault them what a professional service, a prime example of how good customer service should be.
We have had nothing but problems with EE. We have 4 separate mobile accounts in our household, all from EE and each time we have an issue, EE is initially helpful in taking the phone and sending it for repair but then the fun begins! We have had a handset come back damaged, one unrepaired and existing fault as before, charges made for handsets as they say they are 'water damaged' when they have never been near water, unreliable store managers who make empty promises and all in all the most unreliable, unhelpful, uncaring company I have ever had to deal with. You will even struggle to get through to Customer Services to lodge a complaint as there is no direction for this service either on the website or via the phone and it just adds to the frustration of dealing with such a unprofessional company. Steer clear if at all possible and go to Car Phone Warehouse who have regrettably had their T-Mobile (EE) business curbed significantly.
Terrible customer service do not attend of home broadband calls to fit service lie atyending when a ring door bell and 6 dogs couldn't detect the engineer over charge don't give compensation automatically when services are down unless you phone and complain thinks it good to leave a eldley disabled mother and her disabled son without broadband knowing all TV movie services are running on broadband so now not only no broadband no TV not Netflix not prime video and not a care in the world about it extreamly bad signal in a grater london post code complaints ignored AVOID *Update they only seem capable of a copy and paste responce I would sugest another company with some actual service and don't use face book this is ignored too.
Answer: UNFORTUNATELY it is a legit company but beware they will scam you into a contract you will not need or use there is NO I repeate NO downgrading they will tell you "Yes sir you can downgrade any time if you don't need said data" it is a LIE
Answer: YES Many are more at better cost with superb customer service and better price with more flexibility
EE has a rating of 1.4 stars from 25 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. EE ranks 119th among Mobile Carriers sites.
