Edgenuity

This year (2020) we started getting summer school progress reports for our son's summer school from 2018/2019 and WHY we never got them then is unknown? He did not attend summer school in 2020 so why are we getting these now? I have request to UNSUBSCRIBE multiple times, I have emailed asking to be removed. And weeks later I get a reply to say that I need to contact my school district who tells me they do not WHY this is happening. It is a pin in the butt!

We have three students enduring Edgenuity during COVID. Everyone regrets purchasing it for our elementary school, from administration and teachers, to parents and students. Instructions are wordy and written in a 10th grade language - our 1st graders learning to read cannot follow them. Instruction, Assignments, Quizes and Exams are out of balance.

It feels as if they outsourced content creation overseas without consulting with a 1st grade teacher on the most important part - how to teach.

Had we known up front we would have home schooled our children with a better curriculum.

It has been a few years of me using this platform already, I am now in my senior year for High School, I still regret using this site to further my academic progress. Every year I use this platform, I fall behind. The courses I must use are poorly created. It is just an absolute mess.

I find myself distracting myself from the long and boring lectures quite often, I am given several assignments which require me to write out long essays or heavy-duty assignments that require me to use tools that are far too unreliable to use now. I am unable to simply refresh myself on vital information without playing through the whole damn instruction segment, plus I have no optional practice exercises to ensure that I have adequately refreshed myself on the information.

I find myself having better luck learning information for these courses from external sources rather than the platform. Also, do not get me started on how the Imagine Learning acquisition screwed up the platform even more. I recently had issues logging into my account and their support team was garbage and I had better luck just contacting my school's IT department to change my password than handle the change.

I have been using Edgenuity for quite sometime and I LOVE it! The support team is excellent and respond PROMPTLY (even after hours) if you have a problem. Furthermore, Edgenuity gives an EXCELLENT overview of the benchmarks, and allows my students to work at their own pace. It has helped me as a teacher because it reinforces and solidifies what I have taught the students. Additionally, even though as a general rule I assign them to all my students, I can assign them individually to students who need additional help on a specific benchmark. Since I began using Edgenuity a few years ago (Huge shout out to my District support person, Mr. Neil Williamson), both the percentage of students in my class who pass the Biology EOC as well as their individual test scores have increased significantly. Also, my students love them because they are usually worth a lot of grades.:-) I"m very thankful that my school district continues to pay for Edgenuity and I HIGHLY recommend it.

I am a student that uses edgenuity and I think that it is a very cool learning site I like the new tutor button or area that they added and overall I think that it is very educational it could be a little bit better though.

Edgenuity Support is committed to serving Educators and Students. The online automated service, Live Chat, Email Assistance, and Live Tech Support all worked diligently to resolve an issue on my Dashboard in a timely manner and with friendly service. They were caring and willing to go above and beyond to find a solution so that I could continue giving my students my best.

The answers for EVERY question they use can be found on google. Since they give every student the same questions, for every topic, in every unit, and have been since their platform was launched, everything is available on the internet. Edgenuity does NOTHING to prevent this from happening -- I emailed tech about this and they told me that my students probably had teacher accounts. I do not recommend this platform if you want your students to actually LEARN.

In my experience with my child is a full blown NIGHTMARE! (He's in the 7th grade and this platform is used for the Pandemic not as his over all schooling)
This platform is impossible to keep caught up on. They expect way to much from these CHILDREN. He's doing things that my 11th grader is doing? How is that even fair, but they'll fail him if not done. He works on it from morning til night.
So don't feel bad if you CHILD is not doing well. NONE of them are doing good

I am a student who has to do Edgenuity due to covid. I personally do not like it. Usually, when you get a question wrong it does not tell you what you did wrong. I have a brother who also does edgenuity and we recently discovered that we have the same encores when I am in the 7th grade and he is in the 6th grade. The website is also really boring.

I'm in 7th f****** grade and I can't f****** complete this 10 almost 11 hours of f****** work I started this morning at 8 a f****** m and it's 11:00 f****** p.m. and I f****** give up I'm done I'm f****** done edgiunity and f*** everybody who else who thinks that it's a f****** good site

This is TRASH. All of the freaking lessons is SO long and the projects too. And when i do the projects NO ONE show or tell me how to use the tools. So i spend at least 8 HOURS! In Edgenuity a day. The quizzes is SUPER hard. Do you know that i have a FREAKING LIFE? NOBODY want to spend half of their day in edgenuity because its so unhealthy. I rather use a toothbrush to clean my entire house and then brush my teeth with that toothbrush than do edgenuity. And if i'm depressed it will be ALL. YOUR. FAULT!

I submitted a ticket to their support team and heard back within the following period while at work. Homer was very courteous and quick as he resolved my technical issue.

Please avoid edgenuity at all costs! It makes me feel miserable. You have to sit on the computer for hours nothing else, there's no books or anything just computer and videos no interactive teachers.

My review. The curriculum is trash. Old out dated information. Useless busy work. AI grading tactics that miss correct answers. Flat out STUPID questions recorded for grades. No human support.

I wish I could give this a zero rating however, the system will not allow me to.

My son is currently using Edgenuity to support his virtual learning during the pandemic. Apart from the fact that the questions and answers are long, drawn out and very confusing, the system does not allow for any kind of learning environment. No visibility into mistakes and /or errors are allowed at the testing stage to bridge knowledge gaps so students are basically playing the guessing game. I have also recognized that the system erroneously grades answers as incorrect when they are actually correct.

Additionally, the lengthy videos are not conducive to focus and learning. I am very disappointed that our school district has opted to offer their students this worthless crap as a remote learning application. I will be meeting with the principal tomorrow to discuss next steps for removing my son from this program since this is not value adding for him and is ultimately causing more frustration than anything else.

I assumed that the school had his best interest at hand but was clearly wrong. What a sad day when teachers will allow this joke of a program, to support the development of our young people.

My most recent experience with Edgenuity customer service was pleasant and helpful. A student had emailed me about a problem at 2AM. I saw the email closer to 7AM and got busy trying to get answers. I reported the problem and quickly got the automated reply I was expecting. NOT TOO LONG AFTER I then got a reply from a real person taking a look at the problem. Because it was uppermost in my mind I fired questions right back and every time the real person was helpful. We were able to solve the problem before the student got online for the day. I found the agent to be persistent, patient, and helpful.
