I hate this course so much i would rather be gang stalked by the cia and have a chip put in my brain and the get arrested and deported to a military camp and receive harsh training and go to war where i get captured by the enemy and get my nerve endings are frayed; get thrown into a pit of snakes and be forced to spend the rest of my life as a shut in when i am rescued. This is my actual feelings. Please stop putting 12 video lessons within a lesson. It would be better to just make it one video, and have an option to contact a tutor directly. Separate quizzes for each lesson are personally annoying and unneeded. AND PLEASE MAKE EVERYTHING ONE COURSE I for some reason have to take 2 separate geometries, which makes no sense. It would make my life so much better and others too. Thanks. But i don't think you're gonna listen, so good luck to the others out there who are going through this absolute hellhole. Welcome to your own personal hell.

First week of virtual learning for my 4.0+ advanced 10th grader. The teacher even stated she didn't fully understand it. Nothing about this makes any logical sense, and it is glitchy. (Rest of the internet in the house is working fine) I have a VERY upset honors student trying her hardest to figure out 1. How to use this program, and 2. Ultimately teach herself Algebra II. Extremely disappointed and feeling helpless as a parent.

Thanks

My daughter recently had a (rare) echnical Issue where she couldn't move to next activity. (The issue was resolved very quickly.) Overall, she is good at math, but also the lectures have been very good too and I'm happy. I wouldn't mind if there were more skip ahead testing out since some of the topics are review.

Customer Support
March 4, 2021

I was trying to enroll in notifications to receive updates for webinars. The link was not working as it should. I contacted customer service. The customer service rep was unsure how to answer my question so he put me on a short hold and quickly found the answer. My email was take taken and I received a response a couple hours late letting me know the link was fixed.

I am a parent and my daughter had to use Edgenuity for the end of Algebra last year and the last term in Geometry this year due to Covid. Edgenuity skips steps when teaching and is not thorough in explaining problem resolution. I had to re-teach her the lessons in Algebra last year and go the Math Zone so they could teach her Geometry. She was an A and B math student in prior quarters, but was getting D's in Edgenuity both quarters in math before she got help from other sources. We had to supplement and constantly used Khan Academy because Edgenuity didn't fully explain how to do the math problems. The teaching also did not fully relate to the difficulty level on the tests. They really need to restructure their math curriculum and maybe take a lesson from Khan Academy on how to teach.

Horrible site there are too many glitches that make it impossible to use and to make it worse they give you like 20 assignments per hour per class. I use it part online and I go to another school in person, meaning after in person school I have to stress out and get yelled at by my parents because they dont understand what it is. All they see is I have like 30 hours of work I am behind in. I stay up till 2:30 am and wake up at 7am every single day even on the weekends trying to complete this work but I cant do it fast enough. This stupid site took away my free time and took away my life. I cannot wait to go back fully in person next year as this site is horrible and life crushing.

I called Edgenuity's support center in hopes of resolving a problem a student of mine was having with an Edgenuity class. Specifically, the student could not adequately hear or understand the videos associated with assignments. To wit, the video sound was distorted and low in volume. Upon calling the service center, I opted to have a call-back because of the high caller volume. I received the callback within a mere 5 minutes and had the problem resolved in another, short 5 minutes. The representative I spoke with was very courteous and professional.

Ok, so here's the problem. My son has to take a quiz, every single day, and has to pass them! If he dosen't pass he has to email that teacher for another retake! This has wasted hours and hours of his time because he cant do anything until the quiz gets unlocked! Plus, the waiting time for the teacher to respond is absurd! One day it toook that teacher 2 WHOLE DAYS to respond to his email. This program should be shut down and taken off from the online school list. Even my son agrees with that.

DO NOT RECOMMEND
October 26, 2020

My daughter uses this and i think its a waste of time they should just call over google meets and act like they're in school. I have one daughter in school and the rest are on edgenuity and they're failing and my daughter thats in school isnt. Its not entertaining for the kids and just makes them not want to do work. The teachers dont tell them what and what not to write and my daughter in middle school takes hours writing down all the things that it says in the video. They just leave them with so much work the most things that theyve made my middle school daughter do was watch 12 videos and out of those videos she had to answer 6 questions. And then a test after that, and especially since she writes EVERYTHING that the videos say/show down. Overall i DONT recommend this at all. Ill put a picture of the least amount of things that they've made her do

It is next to impossible to make progress in Edgenuity with so many tasks to complete. The tasks are tedious, videos are boring, and assignments you can find the answers to online. It appears the material is written at a higher level than the grade level for which is it assigned.

I attempted to email back and forth with a representative in order to transfer a student's account from another school to ours, but received a series of confusing instructions, see below:

"In regards to your concern about Transferring the student course to another school, As it turns out it is not possible to transfer student progress from a school to another school, however, there's a workaround by going to the student's old school and look for the student progress report and basing on her course report put it manually to your school.
You can also add the student to your school Personal Wellness Course as a workaround since it is not possible to transfer student progress from school to another school."

Edgeunity is terrible
November 19, 2021

Many kids at my school got in trouble for not doing Edgeunity for the required amount of time in my school because the website is very glitchy. The lessons are very low quality and videos can't be skipped even on simple subjects.

Terrible program
May 5, 2021

I was forced to have my 2 homeschoolers take this program. The lessons lack substance. The grading system is based on activities that are auto graded based on keywords (so if you pluralize a word, in any subject, the software marks it wrong). It was extremely liberal in content almost like it was trying to program my kids to think a certain way. The cumalative exam counted so heavily for something graded through a computer program and not a teacher.

I wouldn't teach this program to my dog, let alone a child. My daughter's school placed me in this program and it's an absolute disgrace! I spent 8 hours trying to submit a mp3 recording of my child reading. This program is not suitable for a child with an IEP education plan. My child suffered more meltdowns than I ever seen with her autism and sensory. She never hardly has a meltdown, up till I was placed in online classes. Never again! Parents of special needs children beware!

I like edgenuity
December 10, 2022

Yes, edgenuity can be a pain but it also helps you learn. I am a 12th-grader and it helps me learn. It irritates me that the videos are long but it helps me learn what I need to learn, just because one person doesn't like the platform doesn't mean it won't help someone else.

The students can cheat by googling the questions and finding them. They test out or they zoom through just so they can get credit recovery for classes they failed. They learn nothing. They cheat themselves and get credit for courses other students had to work at.

I know in the first semester there ended up being a school supply list that parents were not aware of until it was into the semester, and the kids were needing all these seeds, etc. to complete projects. I need to know where this supply list is. I need a URL or something. It wasn't easy to find first semester, and now I don't see it at all!

Ingenuity
May 2, 2021

Ingenuity is a very boring thing is hard for me to stay on Task 1 because there is no actual teachers and you can click on a different tab you can be like I'm off into something else and Ingenuity wouldn't know but when you're on something like Zoom teachers can actually see you when you're off task if they make it so you can not turn off your videos

This app forces students to follow a strict guideline, which makes it impossible for students to follow along at their own pace. It holds kids back, and makes other kids move at a pace they aren't ready for.
