One of our students found a broken link. (These are inevitable in online courses... just a fact of life.) I reported it from the course structure on the instructor side. Had a response right away, saying they had a high volume of support requests. Even so, the issue was resolved in only two days. Follow up from Edgenuity support was quick and helpful.
No books, No real lesson, quizzes that don't always align with the material. Tons of busy work, but nothing substantial. My A+ Math student is now failing because the lesson is lacking any real instruction and no help from the school. My kids have learned more from those workbooks you buy in the store than they are with this program. This program sets our kids up to fail. I think the school district picked the cheapest program they could.
My son is very smart so, school decided to put him in his own math path after conducting some math tests including edgenuity. He likes everything about edgenuity except for the assignments that contains for example "explain why it is wrong or write it in sentences", even though he explained it in nice way, he is not scoring for that answer because, I think "AI" is searching for some other keywords or phrases. If an assignment contain two of these questions, out of ten, he is scoring only for other 8 questions. He is complaining a lot about this and sometimes he is getting frustrated because he knows the answers and not scoring enough.
Terrible, archaic platform. It pushes out far too many modules daily with seemingly little room to control. Our district in particular is failing with virtual teaching and for some reason is using THIS platform over the platform they had already created for virtual students.
Worst website in existence, I hope they know that some people do not like watching online videos. They give me questions I have never seen before and were never on the star test. These questions do not seem easy to solve without physical guidance.
I have used Edgenuity exclusively to help high school students recover credit and accelerate to gain credits in courses that they need in order to graduate. The courses are challenging, rigorous, and robust. The students who are driven and self-motivated move through the courses with ease. Whenever I need support, which is rare, I receive a return call within an hour. My issue is always resolved quickly. I have nothing but good things to say about Edgenuity, their product, and their service.
Edgenuity does a good job resolving issues in a timely manner. I had an issue with students not being able to log on. Within a short amount of time, the issue was resolved and students were back to work. This is such a teacher and student-friendly platform.
As a student that regularly has to use Edge, I have to say that it is one of the worst education sites that I've ever used. The lessons are painfully mundane and boring, the information confusing, and website itself insanely glitchy. Overall, Edgenuity has been a bad experience for me.
I was watching my son on his assignment yesterday. Who has autism and an IEP.
I was furious when I watch his history class teaching about KKK and white supremacy. Kids do not need to learn about crap. Then the are calling republicans radical. This is teaching kids hate. This must be stopped.
The people who talk are very monotone and boring and the content is very repetitive. The videos could take 10 minutes long, when it could take 2 minutes. > :( Wish I could rate it 0 stars.
Straight trash too much assignments too much glitches everything is useless the videos are useless as they act like your a one year old that don't understand simple words and there grading is trash same with the test there answers aren't even correct and they make fake reviews to keep their site up
As a student who has dealt with this for a while, it has caused too much stress and anxiety. My school loves to use the crappiest websites (I'm talking about IXL) to learn but everyone says it's okay. Never is, never will be. Encourage your school not to use edgenuity or IXL. I have heard so many people complain about how stupid it is and how it causes them to have a mental breakdown by how crippling it is.
The quiz system has flaws. My son worked with a high school math tutor on one of his quizzes, and two out of the 10 answers came out wrong, both answers correct. The idea you cannot move on, if you do not pass something, causes significant delay in the process, and causes you to fall behind. It is not a good platform for middle school students.
I facilitate a continuation high school and I have students who are trying to get the credits needed to graduate. Edgenuity has the core and elective courses that they need. Given, it's not the most exciting program to listen to, but this is the only recourse these troubled kids have. I like that we can daily and weekly celebrate their accomplishments to help them stay motivated to complete high school.
I'm currently using this website to recover 2 of my class credits. I'm behind on it because it takes forever to get through a chunk of the small videos. Why not just make them all one video and move on. Or even better, make an alternative to the videos and make a power point to be used in stead. Some students learn better with reading then videos. This is good for people who like to take it slow but for those who just want to get over the assignments should be allowed to get through it faster. I'm several days behind because the lessons I'm given take so long to get through with. >:(
(My school bought the ability to use this website not me)
One of my students had an issue with a test that he finished (and passed). However he was not given credit for the test. I contacted Edgenuity. They got back to me soon after. Based on Edgenuity's response the problem had to do with the students computer loosing power.
Our students are using Edgenuity as an at home learning platform. I've had issues with the program and the only resolution is to bypass the assignment or instruction because I cannot get on the phone with support live while the student is working. It is near impossible to get good customer service that helps students when I'm at school, they're at home, and customer support is a 24 hour email away.
I took my son out his local school where he was doing online classes because all but one of his course was through Edgenuity. It is a horrible program. There is no real learning opportunities. You listen to awful lectures that are not engaging in any way. There is no way to see what you did wrong, not attempt tp help you learn concepts you were having problems with, no way to talk to a real person to supplement what the reading and pre-recorded lectures said, no way to contact anyone with questions... I can't believe that schools are paying millions of dollars for this garbage program. I can't believe that this program is used for ‘credit recovery'.
Esteban provided excellent assistance in guiding me through the steps for "Turn on Free Movement" with my ELA courses. After my initial call, Esteban remained available for my subsequent email questions, and responded in a timely, professional manner. His help was invaluable.
Edgenuity staff are great about getting back to teachers in a timely and thorough manner. As a math teacher at a small school where I teach many subjects I really appreciate the feedback when I have questions. Many Edgenuity questions are multi-step questions requiring critical thinking and analysis to answer. If I miss a perspective or content piece, the staff is there for me. And if I happen to find an error in a question, they work with me and correct it immediately. They are a great collaborative team!
Virtual and hybrid learning uses a whole different set of skills for teachers to create relationships with students for successful learning, and students are asked to step up with personal responsibility and time management, but Edgenuity is a great platform for delivering the basic content in a consistent manner so as teachers we can focus on individual student needs.

Answer: Because they don't care and they are getting paid no matter what.
Answer: Enginuity isnt for students it's for teachers it isn't set to understand how a child thinks or how they all react what it picks up is that they failed and that's all they have to redo everything because that's how the program works
Answer: It looks for key words. If you have the right words written, you are correct. If you have the right answer but use a word that is a bad keyword they count it wrong
