I ordered flowers to be delivered to a funeral home the same day and I was charged a fee for same day delivery. Unfortunately, the flowers did not get delivered until the next day and I was STILL charged the "same day delivery" fee and no one reached out to me to tell me it wouldn't be delivered the same day. I do not recommend Echovita to anyone.

We ordered our flowers shortly before 5 pm, the day before the funeral, realizing that we might even be too late to place the order. However, there was nothing in the website feedback that suggested the flowers should not get to the funeral by at least 3 pm, the time of the funeral, or even 2 pm, the time of the visitation. Thus we proceeded with the order. Next day, we kept our eyes open at the funeral for our flowers, but did not notice them. We decided that perhaps they were going to blend in with all the other flowers and did not worry about it. When I got home, I had, if I recall correctly, a voice mail and an email about some difficulty in trying to find the correct colour of flower, as depicted in the catalogue provided by Echovita. Because we had already left for the funeral, I missed those attempts at connecting with us. What I understood when I did get home was that a substitution was done. That was fine by me, and I figured that a change in flower colour might have been the reason we did not see our flowers. Next day there was the burial ceremony which we did not attend. Our friends, who were members of the family of the deceased, did go and afterwards, they told me that the Pastor told them our flowers did not arrive until after 6 pm the previous day. I assume that he brought the flowers to the burial, as they ended up going home with one of the family members, a very good final destination for the flowers. Our friend also told us the flowers looked very good. Nonetheless, the flowers were obviously intended to be present at least at the funeral, if not even the viewing, and the Pastor suggested we should let the company from which we ordered know what happened. He said we might be eligible for a refund. We decided to do that, not so much because we wanted a refund, but because we felt the company should know what happened. In some cases, having the flowers at the funeral, on time, could have been critical. When I phoned Blooms Today, I spoke with a very sympathetic and helpful lady, who agreed readily that the flowers should have made it to the funeral, and who also offered me a refund of around $20. I accepted that, even though we thought it was not a lot considering that the flowers were not there at the funeral. Later, I noticed in the documentation sent on-line to me, the refund seemed to be closer to $30. This may have had to do with different currencies; I am not sure if I was always dealing in Canadian dollars. The refund was approved quickly and I do not expect any complications to arise in it going through within the 10 business days or so they said it would take to have it applied to my credit card account.

Echovita referred me to Blooms Today as the arrangement was delivered late and they issued me a full refund! I appreciate the customer service that both companies provided. I ordered a flower arrangement for family members for an out of town funeral. I asked that they be there a few hours before the service started but the arrived 4 hours late after everything was over and my family members had left.

Answer: Candles, messages, and memories left on Echovita only appear on the obituary page you left it on Echovita. They do not simultaneously appear on the funeral home's website. No where on Echovita does it say candles, messages, or memories left on our website appear on the funeral home's website. The local florist contacts the funeral home and asks them when it is best to deliver the order because sometimes the funeral home or church do not accept flowers until the day of the service.
