I spent part of an hour crafting an ad that included many photos. I was selling a large number of items, perfect for someone who wanted to sell on Ebay or Etsy. I was placing the ad in a home and garden category since I was selling the items, not anything related to running a business.The Ebay classified site suggested I list them in one of the business categories, so I did.

About a half hour after posting I got an email saying my ad had been removed since it was a pyramid scheme. Ridiculous! I followed their guidelines and I wasn't selling anything of the sort.

Ebay has gone downhill and this is another example. I won't shop on their site or use any of their platforms.

I used to use Kijji.com a few times a year to advertise puppies for sale and had used it for several years without ever having a problem. After the site converted to Ebay classifieds I continued to use it and at first nothing seemed different. A few months later my ad disappeared. I sent an email inquiring what had happened and received a reply stating that my ad had been removed and we had been permanently removed from the site because of a complaint. The message was very automated sounding and didn't make sense. I wrote back asking about what this complaint so it could be addressed. I was very alarmed by the complaint and had no unhappy customers and wanted to know what was wrong so we could make it right. Ebay Classifeds sent back a reply stating that we were permanently banned and there was nothing that we could do about it and that no further emails would be responded to. I was shocked. I wish I had a copy of the email but it was the most unprofessional and strange email I had ever received from a business. Not long later other dog breeders started coming forward and stating that the same thing had happened to them. Now the only puppies for sale on Ebay Classifieds are from backyard breeders, with no health guarantee and from people just breeding dogs together with no concern for health, temperament ect. I would not recommend this website to anyone, to this day we do not know what the supposed complaint was about.
