EasyBib is basically the worst. It used to be a pleasurable service that was easy, but now the pages are littered with ads, and worst of all, the videos. These are videos that claim to give you 48 hours of uninterrupted access, but it's really more like 3. And in those 3 hours, there are still tons of ads all around the border of the page, slowing down the speed of my computer and covering content. Most of the time, those ads are identical. After Chegg bought EasyBib, it has become a terrible citing website. The citing itself is the same, but the overall quality of the website has gone down drastically.

As a school librarian, this was my go-to tool for sharing with an entire school of students. It had gotten progressively worse with the advertising until now it's just completely unusable. Honestly, I would be happy use some of my library budget for a school-wide pay version of Easybib without ads, but for some odd reason the company would rather make $9 from the few schmucks that are willing to pay for premium instead of bigger guaranteed bucks from schools. What a dumb business plan for a company with an educational tool. I wish I could have given zero stars. :(

I really haven't used the website since college, and I was disappointed by what I found when I came back. The website is super glitchy, full of useless ads (it says to use it for free you only have to watch the ad once every 48 hours but it appears every hour for me). Not to mention, not as user-friendly as it used to be! It used to be such a simple platform, and now it has all these additional steps that add so much time to the process. So annoying.

Most companies upgrade, Chegg takes a new approach with EasyBib. Downgrade and make it nonfunctional. I use the word SleasyBib because that is just what the company has become. It is impossible to speak with anyone at the company because there is no phone number or functional links to support services. If I took money for taking peoples money without providing a service I would be in jail. Moreover, I was able to find a phone number for Chegg, but customer service could provide no helpful information. The operator actually said, "I don't use EasyBib so I don't know what you are talking about." I asked her if she could find someone who could help me and she replied, "Nobody here knows anything, we are customer service." I think that says it all.

This site is a neat idea, and could potentially be incredibly useful. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 1. Why did I give it a 2? It's way too complicated, it's hard to work with, and there are tons of ads that not only clog up your work space, but also make loading a problem. Maybe it should be named "Hardbib," because the formatting is the worst I've seen. Every time you click on anything, a new set of ads come up. If you have mediocre internet connection (and most people do), than I don't just not reccomend this site- I beg you to just do the sitation yourself, however hard that may be.

Have used Easy Bib for over 8 years, and kept all of my grad school and teaching references there safely... until now.

My account was cancellled for no reaason, when signed up again nothing works. Trying to cite a chapter instead of a whole book is impossible... just leaves page without saving any date. Search is limited to recent editions. No way to keep the citation format I want to use every time. Just horrible... advertises itself instead of working for you, even after you pay for "plus" service. Cancelling myself this time... any recommendations for a professional bib service now?
