This website is awful... unethical, deceitful, tricks you into thinking your getting a ssc, collects all.of your confidential and private information charges you 40 bucks and emails you a free application from the official government. Website.
It could be clearer that the site is not ordering the card before all your personal information is entered. It should be a federal offense to collect SS#'s the way they are!
I fell victim to a scam during my first passport application attempt, and it's left me feeling completely deceived. This website misled me and took $65 from me. I can't help but feel foolish for falling into this trap when I know I should have been more cautious. It's a hard lesson learned.
Deceitful and wrong to offer yourselves as a government website to fill out a passport. If you search passport ds-11 this is the first site to come up and looks as though you are filling out a passport form without saying you are paying them to do it and not paying for the passport. Deceitful beyond deceit. Horrible horrible
This website is a scam. My mom payed $50 just to find out the website is a scam. Now they have all her information and a loss of $50. I'm warning you, please do not use this website.
When searching "apply online for first time passport" Easy Apply comes up. The site is set up to look as though you answer application form questions and it gets submitted after paying $65.00. Instead your sensitive and private information is taken without providing any service except a pre filled form that you still need to submit yourself at a post office or other authorized agency. What a pity that this "business" will continue to scam consumers.
This website comes up interspersed with other Dept of State LEGIT websites when googling "apply for US passport." This is a "service" that says it will help you ensure your application is correct (and CHARGE you for it), but THAT IS IT...They do not submit the forms, they do not track it, they do NOTHING else and you STILL HAVE TO PAY THE FEES TO APPLY FOR THE PASSPORT. DO NOT USE - go to the Dept of State website to apply for a passport and save your money for the actual passport.
I HAVENT HEARD BACK IF OUR PASTPORTS ARE DONE? WE DID THEM IN JUNE AND JULY. WE PAID 65.00 EACH...OR WHAT WE NEED TO DO?
I made a terrible mistake and submitted a request to renew my childrens passport through easy apply - us. Well, I have learned my lesson and I should have known better. I submitted the application April 9th and still have not heard anything about my children's passport. When I called to question status, he reperesentiative was on a poor line and I was disconnected twice. This is a fraud and I feel terrible as I provided personal information of my children. PLEASE STAY AWAY
Fraud site! Looks like the government site but charges you an extra $65 to do exactly what you can do on the government site. Don't be fooled! Now my fear is that they have my SSN, birthdate, address and a lot of other information that's needed to apply for a passport.
This site was not needed. You can use government site for free and just as easy to fill out. I forgot to look for the government site and fell into this site on a google search. What a waste of $65.00.
I went online to get my daughter a social security replacements card. They charged me $48.00 to download forms and the office address, witch was 21 miles away, THEN told me to send documents, and the only qualifying document I had was her drivers license. No copies, had to be her current driver license. She will be driving to the SS office tomorrow, And I am out $48. THANKS UNCLE SAM!
After googling how to apply for a passport this site came up. It led me through the application process and charged me $65. I assumed this was a processing fee but after going to a passport facility and paying $130 to state dept and $35 processing fee I asked about this $65 fee and was told I should appeal the charge. After talking with my bank, the appeal process is a big disruptive process to my banking experience
Takes advantage of those of us who are new at this
They charge $65 to have you fill out the same form you would fill out with the state department. I refuting the charge
Googled how to replace a sa card. Their website came up first. (I did not look close enough to see it wasn't the SSA. They charged me 50.00 for me to fill out the ssa replacement document, then emailed the same document back and told me to mail it to the ssa. Got burned. Pay attention to your google search. The ssa charges nothing for what I did.
Wish I would have known! Paid 44.00 & never received my new card! Please don't put yourself in the same position! Beware!
This site is still up and running. I don't even know how I got to that site because I had linked into the US passport site and this one came up and I was in a rush and that of course is when they get you. I should've known it was suspicious From asking for information that the US passport office wouldn't need. Now they have all my information and can freely use it to screw my identity. They have been reported to the FBI and if you two have been taken by them, please go to the FBI site and report them and maybe then they will get taken down. If even somebody as text savvy as I am, can get caught anyone can. All you have to do is not pay attention for a few minutes and boom, your identity is theirs.
I did call them back and told them to either refund my money or I would call the police and they did refund it but then again I went back and noticed it had been put on my account again. Now I will have to deal with my credit card company to make sure they don't get money. Which of course right now they don't really need since they have all my identity information.
While it is legal it is unethical!
They take all your information, very private information, which scares me because they might and probably will steal my identity. Then they transfer you to a government website for the real passport application.
Stay away! These people should be in jail.
It was an amazing experience, I was able to get my card on time and I received all my documents back. They also have a really good customer service and I'm so happy to have applied with them.
