Everyday I unsubscribe and everyday I get a new email from Early Bird Books. Ridiculous!
Please unsubscribe me immediately.
Recently, when I reached the last page of a Kindle book I'd bought from Amazon, an Open Road page inviting me to choose a free ebook would appear and would often be impossible to navigate away from without restarting my Kindle. Amazon Support walked me through the problem and suggested a factory reset, which worked -- the first time one of these pages appeared following the reset. The second time, the page could only be escaped by restarting the Kindle. I did try to choose a free book a couple of times, out of desperation, but that just bounces me back and forth between the Open Road Media page and the Kindle web browser (URL earlybirdbooks.com). I have Special Offers turned off, but haven't yet found a way to escape from these offers short of restarting my Kindle.
I saw a link to a free ebook at the end of the sourdough book I was reading. Cool! Clicked it, had to give my email, then got four options. One absolutely disgusting, inappropriate book, one about Prozac? And two other completely lame ones. Feels like a bait and switch and not worth the price of them knowing my email now,.
Promised free e-book. Went to download but didnt download so tried again and wouldn't let me. A scam?
I have removed myself multiple times from their mailing list. I have even put them into spam. And yet their emails persist. Just stop.
EBB will not remove me from their emails - have tried repeatedly. Highly annoying & have concerns with what they may be doing with their mailing lists. I would give a 0 rating if I could.
I ran two book promotional ads with Early Bird Books (December of 2021). The results were very disappointing. I will not use them again.
I have subscribed to Early Birds for quite a while and was generally satisfied, except that as another reviewer stated, I received unwanted ads that I was not interested in. I am generally interested in history and non fiction. Recently I noticed that the available book choices I received seem to be very liberally biased. I wrote them about this and they denied it. Then they announced that they were donating to Black Lives Matter. I call this very biased and political and I plan to unsubscribe.
While early bird books professes to let you have choice of subjects, you will be barraged with content you can't escape. This means the topics you interested in are diluted with reviews you have to wade through. What this also means if there are no new topics, you still get the stuff you didn't ask for. I asked to change this and here is Early Bird Books response. "Unfortunately there is no way to not include bestsellers and award winners. You will always receive those books..."
