Eagle oaks, farmingdale NJ. I did go to Dom and he just yelled. Just trying to help. So once again he raised dues $800 then says he is closing over slow season for 6 weeks. Seems like I am paying way more for less. Tip 13: Open top part of the range on Tuesdays. I will clean up the plastic mats. I understand it was a mistake not putting plastic mats at back of range but cannot go back now. Just use upper part for a week and then clean up mats one time before an outing. Or two weeks if no outing. There is no reason for me to spend $25,000 and have to hit off mats. Never seen Ryan by a green, what does he do. Did we lose our assistant, he was good? Sand will not fix fairways or rough. Need thatch and seed. Seed! I know who is in charge of yelling at the guests but who is in charge of the grass. The #1 element of a golf course is GRASS. Not trees, bushes, monuments to the owner. Grass. Am I wrong? They tried a huge seeder which just made it worse. Serriously who is in charge of actual grass, course is unplayable, please please. OK an easy one, every cup is old so pins lean, easy and inexpensive. Had guests there and no one around, I was sick but guests were rushed out on course. Never got to practice and completely ruined their day. They did not have a time, no one was around and some second year boy destroyed their entire experience. Seems like any staff there more than a few months is told to rush, belittle and ruined the golf experience for all. They get such a feeling of entitlement like all members are evil. That is how the Pro teaches them. I cannot believe I pay for this. If we ever get a Pro, our course rating was recently changed and is wrong. Back 9 is too low and now they say our course is below average and easy. It obviously is not, when you hire a head pro please have him look in to that. I did finally see the "Pro" came out from hiding when he had freebee guests. Then went back in to hide. See you next year. Advice: if owner says a word to you say nothing, nothing. He is so disrespectful and when you try to explain he does not listen then gets mad. Or if you get mad at his complete disrespect he tosses you out of the club Owner yelled at someone today for something so stupid, stop trying to find things people are doing wrong that are so trivial. There is so much disrespect here. OMG skip buying tree after tree after tree after bush. Spend the money on grass and seed please. So many bad spots out there, so many. Drive around and look for all the bad grass spots, not another place to put a tree/bush. He yells at everyone for stupid stuff. What an@#$@%@&. Cannot put sand down when grass is not growing. Greens-keeping 101. The entire course is a bunker till June. Range is grass we never hit on on course, makes no sense. Needs to be thatched, it is too thin now. And if fertilized and seeded properly you wouldn't need to use same spot all week. Maybe if you plant more bushes and trees it will grow. This all sounds negative but (If the owner would just let you say it to him, sorry) The bunkers are many and every single one has different sand/thickness. Be careful, all different. Greenskeeper too busy planting trees I guess. Someone buy the Pro some white paint. So many bad spots on the course, need to be a free drop. Does the Pro do anything besides yell at us on e mails. Need to do something. Cannot fertilize greens since you do not want to fertilize the poa. BUT, look were there is some worm castings or some bird droppings. SO GREEN AND NICE where nature has fertilized. Then you put a growth inhibitor which stops the A1A4 as well as the Poa. Greens are bad no matter what reason fix it. You charge 50% more for every dime i spend. 50%! 20% + 7% + tip. Then he makes me pay their holiday bonus. When does it end. They made my friend join as a Social Member (low level scum Member), first. Do not do this they treat you like scum. Cannot participate in anything. He cannot even use the covered range. Charter Members and Pro treat you like scum. Etc. Etc. This is how my other club does aeration. They do Range on the Monday so they can open it for the members all week. Great time to work on your game have a few drinks and eat and smoke and spend money. Only Greens not open in the state in winter. Greens closed still charges 40 bucks for a cart. Greens are closed since they are in bad shape all year and cannot take the 12 players playing on them in March. Raised my dues $800 and closed for more time over winter. Why? Spends big money when he gets a bank loan for big project which is great. But have to keep up standards. My wife plays tennis and there is no hitting wall for her or my son. And again how much is grass seed? It is a country club! I played two holes and they charged me for a cart, really? And again grass. You can actually put down A-1 A-4 grass seed. May not take well but any would help. Most country clubs let you walk and carry when closed in winter, why not Dom? It is all your barter or freebee rounds that hurt the course not your members. Worst thing is Owner and Co owner (Anthony) promote this Class system. Here is an Idea: Lets just fix some tee's some seed a cover and all winter they will come back. I understand it is cost money but they all are bad and not level. Yea I know too much free play from non members so hard but. Who needs more Suites/pools etc. Just give me grass. Tip 12: Have Wayne make some divots ON the back of range (They will heal). Give to, Sand girl, I see, that fills divots use the divots to fill some on course. As well as give her rough seed in fall and spring. If she does one hole a day could fix fairway and rough and make it perfect. Yea Rates are raised $800 year be ready, and so many new members, cannot get a tee time. There is a 20% charge for everything plus tax plus tip. Be ready. No other Club has a 50% upcharge for everything (Tax, tip, HC = 50%) They don't tell you the owner makes you pay the employee's Christmas bonus while he pays nothing. NOT a dime. Saw him yell at some old guy years ago who said he wanted to tip on his own. The owner was so obvious that he is scamming people so he does not have to pay a dime. Again, a golf course is about the grass, not blocking out houses or stone monuments. Put fraction of money into grass seed and sifted compost, a water filer for pump. So compost or manure instead of sand. Sand is fine sometimes and when good grass and roots, but has no nutrients in it. Just try spreadable manure on any hole and watch what happens. September 1st PLEASE use grass seed in rough. Grass seed. I would help and do it myself but they refuse. I have tried for years to help and again treated like I was some jerk off the street. Update they waited till October first, too late and too aggressive. When I asked someone they said, "Anthony can do whatever he wants. He owns the place." Go out and walk the course. It is a great layout but not on of any NJ lists because it is in such bad shape. Owner too busy planting trees to block houses. Just let it go, and realize you bought a course with houses on it. If you bought a small hand seeder and seed instead of JUST two trees the course would be amazing. No one cares about seeing a house. They want nice grass on a course. Seriously look at your budget for trees and bushes to block out homes, then bring up what you spent on grass seed. Idea: Ryan does nothing use his pay for seed. Do we have a head Pro?
