I paid for premium, used it some. Allowed my subscription to expire. They sent me an email advising that it had expired, which I wanted.
They then continued withdrawing from my PayPal account.
Contacted them. No response.
They are crooks.
Don't waste your time or money.
I signed up hoping this site would be a useful source of lead sheets. The samples looked pretty good, but when I actually got the subscription, I found the songs to have several errors - missing chords, incorrect chords, incorrect chord placement, etc.
Worse than this, when I asked to have my account closed, I was given the run-around. The Internet "whois" data on this company is sketchy, and it's starting to feel a bit like a scam.
BUYER BEWARE: If you sign up, you might not be able to cancel your account easily!
Best advice: Look elsewhere.
E-chords is the WORST. Don't waste your money. Besides, half of the crap chords they have up are wrong... As a professional musician, I mainly use Scribd and have the ultimate-guitar app as a backup when I have a request for a song that I don't actually know but have heard enough that I can sing it along with the proper chord structure. I NEVER rely on e-chords as they are unreliable and the "premium" service is just a joke. If you've signed up as a non-premium member, I would go double and triple check your account as they may have pulled a fast one on you like they did with me. As everyone else has already said, they will not even pretend to try and refund a penny of your money.
They double billed me and have not refunded my money after a month of repeated e-mails and working with PayPal to resolve. They are not responding to PayPal either. I am locked out of the site, so I paid two times at $24, and don't have access to content. I want nothing to do with them and would like to know how to deal with this if anyone has any ideas.
They seem to post songs in the wrong key, and you have to buy their paid service to access the key-transpose function.
It's not that big of a deal if you know what key the song is actually in and can transpose... but if you're a beginner, check out other sites.
Same happened to me. I was able to use the site very briefly. I have contacted hme several times via email to get I for on why I can't access the premium portion of my account.
First I was told I needed to send an email from the account t I used to sin up. When I did, I as told that I had to request a password reset from the website... um... it doesn't work! Which is what I have said for months!
Thanks for the tip! I will try to get a refund via paypal.
On 4/22/14 I was automaticaly billed $24.45 for an annual subscription renewal. Within 2 hours of the charge I contacted e-chords and asked them to cancel/refund. I don't like automatic billing & I think that all businesses should at least notify customers of a pending renewal BEFORE taking the money. Worst of all is the attitude of e-chords' Customer Service: NEXT YEAR I can opt out. I'm totally UNsatisfied w/their lack of empathy for their customers. I give them a letter grade of D-.
Can I put no stars? I was CHEATED from this website. I paid for premium membership - it worked for about a month, then, I couldn't even log in anymore. I contacted their two customer service emails provided on their website and didn't even get a response. NOTHING! Fortunately, I had paid through PayPal and PayPal refunded me. PayPal is keeping track of this website's disputes and may drop them as a vendor in the future. Do not get sucked into paying for premium service with this website - BAD!
It looked like such a great site. I wanted to be able to transpose songs from one key to another but I had to sign up for Premium to do that so I paid them Paypal and that was the end of that. My login information was not recognized. There was no email address or phone number on the website so I could not contact them. I tried using the email machine on their website but they did not answer. I tried responding to their initial "thank you for signing up" email but again, no response. Someone on this board said it is really hard to cancel a subscription so I got on the phone right away with Paypal and they cancelled the subscriptionh from there. They almost couldn't find it because it didn't show up in Paypal as E-Chords but as some weird name Maximillian Jorden something or other but the girl at Paypal was patient and we did get it cancelled. Phoeey!
I was stuck in an airport with a big gig that I needed to cram for so I did a search to find this service. I bought it. It has NO APP to go with it... It has no way to create and REORDER a set list. It has NO way to cancel your membership in your account. It has NO WAY to check your billing info and the Contact info is impossible to find.
Is this blocked or what?

Enrolled and paid $3.95. Tried to use site to change key of selected song. Web site
Kept on throwing me out to re-register. Tried to cancel my subscription. Web site
Would not let me.
Can't access premium membership service after auto payment. Doing good the first year, but now big disappointment. Cancelling now.
The same is happen with me. I paid, by Pay-Pal e I can´t access de e_chords as a Premium Membership yet! And I don't konow how to solve this...
The content is limited and what is there is very low quality. There are tremendously better websites for guitar tabs and chords.
