Received my 14 X 10 Blue Acrylic see through shell yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous. DFD was able to help me retrofit a Premier High Tension Pipe Band Snare Drum with the blue acrylic shell. It took some tinkering as expected for the internal snare mechanism because of the mechanical design of this drum but it came out perfect! I will send photos today for the company brag board. The pitch and sound is even greater and has even more projection than with the original wood shell. Kudos galore to the team of DFD. Thank you. Frank Z.
If you're researching dFd you'll see that I've pasted this review at other sites. This is still my review, based on my personal experience doing business with dFd.
I discovered dFd in 2020 as I was watching a rdavidr video on youtube. I was looking for some replacement parts and did a google search, and they turn out to be in my town! Everything about this company is above board. They provide a tremendous selection with outstanding prices and customer service, blah, blah, blah. My disposable income advisor isn't happy, as they're just toon darn convenient. I can place an order in the morning and pick it up at the store on my way home from work! Based on my experiences with dFd, I would have no reason to doubt all of the attributes for customers who buy and have it shipped.
I ordered some high end stuff from this site. There was an issue with the factory being out of stock, I received an email from their customer service, asking what I wanted to do, and the customer service person, offered a solution to the problem that worked out for both of us. They made sure I still received my shipment right on time. To me it is not when everything is normal as it should be that one can see if you are dealing with a good and reputable company. It is when things get messed up that you can see who cares and who doesn't.
These folks are top notch. A+ prices are fair, shipping was free, and I found them to be very helpful and kind when there was an issue. I will be doing business with them again for sure.

I've just placed my fifth order from dFd. I can't think of a single complaint. I have been refurbing kits lately and their products are cheaper, better made and shipping is fast. I have also used their drum heads as well and I find them better, in some respects, than REMO or Evans.
I had a friend could not find parts for his drum kit it was a vintage pearl he was so happy when I told him I had found the parts to complete his set and have the sound he wanted after going to drum direct and finding the parts I put them on his kit he almost cried. He was so happy thanks drum factory for all your parts.

I ordered a replacement pedal board, never arrived due to them shipping to the wrong address. When I called to have another pedal shipped to me, I was told that I would have to pay for shipping again. Worthless customer service, do not use this site!
They had all the hard to find replacement parts for my drum set at the lowest price. Very fast shipping and even a thank you note. Great job drum factory direct!
This site was selected by my son, becuase they had free shipping, and a good price. Everthing went well, until delivery. There had been an address mistake, and UPS had to reverify and deliver the package the next day. About 2 weeks later I recieve an e-mail from drumfactorydirect customer service asking that I pay $8 shipping due to a suite number not being included when the product was ordered. True is there was no suite number, and somehow the appartment # had an extra 1 in it. Nobody contacted my son, or I to verify the address, just a sudden request for $8. I offered to help deal with UPS, but the customer service at drumfactorydirect started YELLING in the next message, I even offered to pay half of the $8 but more YELLING and threat to withhold the $8 if my son ever returned the product.
Lesson learned? Don't order from drumfactorydirect, bad attitude at customer service.
I am a stave drum builder, both snare drums and complete sets. I found dfd when I was first starting out, and have since ordered almost exclusively from them. Their range of brands, quality levels, and variety are awesome, and their website is (mostly) easy to use (thedropdown menus get a bit annoying, sometimes). I have found, when discussing hardware options with custom buyers, to refer them to the dfd site to select their own hardware package. Oh, there's an idea! Why not provide a few basic "all-inclusive" packages for outfitting, say, a snare drum, including heads, hoops, t-rods, lugs, wires, throw and butt plate? I would think that three options would be nice (low, medium, and high end price ranges), and might make ordering a LOT quicker! But, I digress. Anyway, I have built three complete stave sets and a number of snare drums with parts from dfd. In fact, I just received a pair of Maple bass drum hoops and an Aquarian SKII head from them five days ago to complete my latest build.
Whether you are building from raw product to finished drum, or just want to jazz up the drums you have, you won't go wrong with dfd.
P.S. Any suggestions of what to do with all those dfd bumper stickers they send with every order? I've got enough of them to wallpaper my rehearsal studio with!

I WILL NEED TO SPEAK TO OWNER. ONE OF THEIR EOMPLYEES, "MATT" AND "BRIAN", IS IGNORING MY EMAILS AND BLOCKING ME AFTER TRYING TO PURCHASE RIMS. I ORDERED RIMS AND DIDN'T GET THEM UNTIL OVER A MONTH LATER. I WAS LIED TO AND SAID I'D GET PARTIAL REIMBURSEMENT AND NEVER GOT IT. NOW HE'S BEING BELIGERENT BY BLOCKING ME AFTER I TRUSTED THEM TO GET THE MONEY REFUND BACK TO THEM. THEY ATTACK AND RETALIATE AGAINST CUSTOMERS AND REFUSE TO COMMUNICATE TO RESOLVE THINGS.
THE MANAGER IS A REAL $#*! HOLE! EVEN HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME! I SENT TWO E-MAILS AND NOT ONE WAS REPLYED TO ME. WTF! THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!

Answer: Hi Yannick, Yes, we ship to Canada using USPS services. You can find the shipping cost for anything by adding it to the shopping cart. You will be taken to the shopping cart page where you will see the shipping estimator. Select your country from the drop down list, enter you postal code and click the update button to see the options and prices. Now, whenever you add, delete, or change the cart quantities the shipping estimate will automatically be adjusted.
