I shopped several times at the store and I was very satisfied but this shopping online with them is terrible. The items I want are always coming soon, which never happens and you can't return items except for store credit which would be ok but you have to pay to send it back. Shipping charges twice Really? Dress barn has become one big rip off at least for me. I would also suggest ordering a size down as the sizes run quite large.
Beware: they won't tell you, but all online sales are final. Returns are only "refunded' via store credit. Think twice about giving them any of your hard-earned money.
Dressbarn is under new management and NO LONGER ISSUES REFUNDS. This effectively makes all items final sale, which is NOT mentioned while ordering. Whoever heard of an online clothing retailer that does not issue refunds? You have to commit before you try on? BUYER BEWARE!
I ordered three items with one item on back order from Dressbarn online which I have loved (the brick & mortar stores) over the years and their Db Sunday line of clothing. Usually once a year in the spring or fall, I would shop one of their stores and drop easily $300 or more. They were great about finding an item in my size in another store, having it delivered to the local store and allowing the item to be tried on before taking it home or a refund if it did not look right or fit properly.
I made the mistake of ordering from the dressbarn dot com website without reading all of their stipulations. Well guess what, if you loved the Dress Barn stores, their employees, then their online site is not the place to go. NO REFUNDS on goods that are poorly constructed, fabric thin enough for summer wear in the winter jogging suit line of goods, just a store credit. The mauve jogging suit top looked like a maternity top we would have worn back in the 1970's before everything came into the body hugging look. It was thin enough to be for a summer weight.
As a buyer, one has to take the package to a FedEx store which has the worst delivery history ever. On a rainy day with frozen rain mixed in, the driver left the same DB package in the open center of my garage door, not on a covered front porch approximately 10 steps away from where he left the package. It was soaking wet on the outside and one of the bags inside due to a hole in the outer bag.
As a long time customer of Dress Barn, that 25% additional gift card along with the store credit, they will both go to someone in need. After it is spent, Dress Barn will not receive another dime of my money. If their long time customers read the fine print, they will not make others happy as well in their new return policies when there are so many other places that are fair with their customers and appreciate their loyalty.

Just now
I ordered clothing that was supposed to…
I ordered clothing that was supposed to be delivered on March 1st. It is now March 4th. My package has been in Minnesota for the past 3 days and has not moved! When I inquired about the reasoning for slow service, I was informed that Dress Barn uses FedEx SmartPost service. This is the slowest service and the cheapest service available. They are not able to expedite or research why the package is so slow in shipping, so I am forced to wait indefinitely for my package to arrive. This service also does not allow me to receive notifications for delays or package arrival, etc. I have been a dedicated dressbarn Shopper in the past, while we had a store in our city. I will no longer order through Dress Barn because of their poor service. Shoppers, beware.
I ordered a dress in October, by December I had to contact customer service to find out why it was still undelivered. I was told the manufacturer was out of product and I could get a coupon for my inconvenience and the dress would be shipped. By the end of January still no dress so I emailed customer service for a refund explicitly stating I did not want a store credit for the still not delivered dress. Dress Barn has thus fsr refused to refund my bank account ststing I returned the item. I NEVER had it delivered. Had I not remembered I had ordered it I would have been out the 77.00 with Dressbarn getting free money for their sorry customer service because they never contacted me about delays in shipping, never followed up with me at all. Dressbarn will never get my business again, after 25 years as a good customer.
DressBarn has some nice selections from which to choose as well as some pretty sweet sales. Their personnel seem to be upbeat, helpful, and very efficient at their jobs.
