This is a fake site that sets up its own fake ads for local areas.
How do I know? Recently, they put in a requirement to verify your phone number to post ads. Yet only those in North America can actually do this.
In spite of this, people are still posting locally in Australia, and that is just not possible with their current setup.
They shot themselves in the foot there.
More importantly, they insist that you can't use anything suggestive or nude photos, yet they will always open a porn page (obvious scam) for hookups.
If you have had any success, it's purely incidental. This is not a safe website.
Definitely a great free site for fun casual adventures. Could improve with personal profiles, with personal diverse infos, reviews, etc... that would help avoiding al the scammers, bots, creeps and flakes. Layout could be slightly improved too, but i like that it is simple
My experience was nothing but content... Seeing that, with the death of craigslist personals, and no other community site to provide such a service, I was worried for all the horny multitudes out there like me! What horrible fate awaits us, I thought. Then I stumbled upon DoubleList. And I'm once again, calm... Content.
Doublelist is a noble attempt to re-create the personals section of Craigslist after it was shut down. There are way less spam/scam attempts than craigslist, but way less real activity as well.
This site has really good potential, but needs more user traffic!
I love this but it's hard to know at times when was an ad posted or if they are bots.
Also I understand men can't show the goods in their pics but ladies can? Just wish it was easier to post and search.
I tried this site after Craigslist personals closed. At first it seemed like a good alternative but I soon found most of the ads were fake or duplicated dozens of times. After posting off and on for a couple of months my posts kept getting deleted. I was baffled. They were much less explicit than, let and i didn't post any pics. Then post I had used previous all got rejected,
This site had great potential but it's squandered. Don't waste your time. No customer service at all.

I've had some great experiences using this. I'm interested in an app being made for this. I like that you have to have a log in to use the site.
Great site for discrete encounters with individuals who value anonymity and discretion. A great alternative to CL Personals and Grindr. Although it's generally the same people on most sites, it's a good experience.
Tried uploading an ad 6 different times. Each time, I edited it to make it shorter and made sure it had no sexual language or anything against the rules. My photos were face pics. Every single time, it got "flagged" and was never even posted. Crap is beyond frustrating. This site is useless, don't even bother.
This website is totally different then most, just a few days ago I joined and so far I like it...Really haven't had any real problems. Nice thing the most is that majority of these guys that post something live in my area. I will continue to use this site until other wise.
Doublelist isn't a fake site like so many others. Now I'm not saying it doesn't have flaws. But if your wanting to place an AD and get some responses to it then Doublelist is a good choice in my opinion.
What can I say? When I get horny I log on to DL and post an add, be it to give a quick blow and go or something more elaborate. Within an hour I have emails from men looking or my services. We chat a while to see if we're on the same page and perhaps I'll pay them a visit to help take care of their needs. I find there's always somebody horny enough to respond. Glad for this service, as a paying member it's easier to fine men close-by so I don't have to travel very far
Just found this site and so far i think it is exactly what i was looking for just waiting to get messages only one thing i don't like. After checking out a post you are returned tom the top of the list would be nice to go back where you left off
Been using DL for about two years maybe longer. Discovered it soon after Craigs List died.
Denver has a thriving Gay/Bi population so lots of hook up opportunities. Ads are easy to post, easy to edit and for the most part are not censored too much.
I've had a ton of fun using this site.
It seems like everyone is all talk because when it comes down to it none ever followed through with getting together and hanging out. I mean im a hot blonde and smart and willing but I still have not met up with anyone. Well actually one person. I have been on your door for a few years now. So it kinda freaks me out. Maybe my approach is horrible or something I don't know. Maybe you can help.
Update to my last doublelist.com post. So, today, April 6,2019, I tried to post an ad on doublelist. The ad followed all policies and guidelines. The post was once again rejected. I miss the personals at Craigslist so much, that site was *******000% better than doublelist. I would never recommend doublelist for anybody. It is aggregating, useless and a waste of time. I hope this review helps people from using doublelist. If you dont believe me, use the site then report back me on your experience. I've had no luck. Doublelist really does suck.
I've used DL for a couple of years now. It works for the most part but the email sorting absolutely sucks. Received emails are piled together so it's impossible to sort out. They get intermixed and it's easy to confuse as to who sent them. Very frustrating.
Great for the gurl that just wants to have fun. Lots of ads to find what you enjoy. Easy to use to post your own or answer. Fairly quick replies. Particularly if you travel to different cities and meet people with same interests. Wish you could sort by area within city.
Doublelist is user friendly and easy to navigate. There are a few reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars: lack of locality. In VA, there are only 2 city choices, which leads to congested listings from over half of the state. Also, I wish you could attach more than one picture when replying to an ad. I would recommend it to anybody
I haven't hooked up yet but at least the opportunity and option is there. There's no other way to meet others quietly and discreetly anymore since Craig's list folded like it did. And I have a normal regular life and a family etc. Doublelist allows me to continue with my "alternate" lifestyle that people from my regular world would not understand. I thank you for that
