I love the idea of paying significantly less per click that I pay at Google. We get the clicks, the backend system is clear in presenting data, but we're working together to get ecommerce tracking setup. The service has been fantastic. I hope that we can figure out the ecommerce tracking so I can warrant more spend with DotHop.
As an advertiser, I will say that our account executive has been excellent. Chris has always been courteous and pleasant to talk with and he has a low-key approach that removes the usual pressure from the decision to advertise. We receive a lot of good quality traffic to our web site and it appears that we get a fairly good conversion rate, too. If there is anything negative to say it would be that the images move away a bit too quickly and are a bit clumsy to control with a mouse pad. Not too bad with a regular mouse, though.
I see the concept is a great as its visual and we know visual sells/attracts much better than words words words, however its behind the 8-ball with so much white space. The image of the web page is maybe 1/6 of the browser window and the rest of the page is snippets of the optionally cyclable pages and then about 72% of the page is white. Also it keeps cycling long after I have seen an image I like, very difficult to get back to.
In comparing this with google I seem to see an advantage in way of looking quickly at a web pages' layout (convenient to spot add-ridden sites at a glance), but in regards to images I can find more on google with less white space.
Change the amount of white space and the sensitivity with which it changes images and I would like this much more
I love dothop! It brings up one set of results that are 100% relevant, unlike Google for example which brings up three sets of results (the paid ads at the top, the paid ads on the right and the main list which is only relevant for the first several listings. I also love that the results come up as images and how clear and clean the results page is overall. It makes searching more effective but also surprisingly more relaxing.
My experience with Pam was very informative and enlightening. I was pleased to learn about the new search engine available and pleased that I could partake in this new venture. I hope that it will prove to be very profitable.
When using a cell phone browser its much easier to find and load the information I'm trying to find when I can see a preview first. I hate going through Google and choosing a website that takes a minute to load, and then find out its the wrong one.
Pam Schiess is an excellent technical representative for dothop.com. She explains complicated SEO concepts, so the layperson can understand them. She has been the main reason we have been using dothop.com.
I love love love Jennifer... and I am not her mother! She has been so helpful. Often she calls and I don't pick up as I am swamped, but I always know she will call back... and she does. She is a good salesperson but she is also a nice person to work with and I trust her. That was not so easy in the beginning as I was not sure what I was signing up for. I would highly recommend her.
We have been using Pam and DotHop's service for a while now and are very happy with their service. Unlike so many service's that make empty promises, Pam and DotHop deliver verifiable results!
As the marketing manager for AmericanMachineTools.com, I am very concerned about your switching to dothop from RedZ. I do not understand why you want to throw away years worth of marketing the catchy name RedZ for a weird sounding alternative like Dothop? Please research the former search engine FindWhat.com and their change to Miva, and hopefully learn from their mistakes before you proceed further with the name dothop.
Pam Schiess called today and went over some analytics regarding my listing with RedZ/DotHop. I have had several conversations with Ms. Schiess since she took over my account months ago, and all have been very positive. She is very knowledgeable, and I have always come away with the feeling that she has my business's best interest at heart. She is polite, has suggestions and answers to my questions. She is one of few who's calls are always directed DIRECTLY to me. She is an asset to my business. I rate her 5 Stars (on a scale of 5) and look forward to more contact with her as time goes on.
Very clever logo! On the homepage, I would consider increasing the size of the terms of use, privacy policy, etc and make it more visible. Some of the graphics from the homepage aren't visible via mobile device. There also seems to be a lot of white space on the pages as you search.
While both the at-a-glance and switch view navigation views are cool, I found myself losing my place easily while searching. Perhaps removing the some of the directional arrows? From a mobile perspective, adding page numbers would be most helpful. It'd also be nice for the navigation to highlight or notify the user that they've already searched a specific webpage. Something similar to Google's pages when you search.
The overall visual concept is great! I understand the vision of the company and its direction from a technology standpoint. I believe this puts DotHop in a good spot against their competitors because of its advertising opportunities.
I have been using Dothop in my ad campaign for about 6 months now and have seen a very good ROI! Much better advisability than my PPC campaign was giving.
I will continue to increase my Dothop budget as results keep coming in postive.
Used them a few years ago and am back. Chris Stanley is good. Professional and friendly and good to work with. No high pressure just good salemanship and good guy to work with. Still trying to get him to come out and go rafting with best rafting company Whitewater Connection on the west coast
I love DotHop! As a school media specialist, I share this Visual GSE with all my students, in the context of research skill lessons. DotHop provides the user with visual clues, beyond a typical search engine, to the usefulness and credibility of its hits. This is a huge timesaver when searching. I link DotHop as my main 'go to' GSE on my school website. My students and staff love it!
I have been using Red Z and now DotHop for 2-3 years and have been working with Pam Schiess for the past few years and have found Pam to be very professional. Pam is always contacting me and keeping me informed as to how our ads are going and never let's me have a campaign run out. A real pleasure to work with and an excellent worker, very customer orientated.
Since RedZ became DotHop, I have been pleasantly surprised at the level of service I have received. I had a good relationship with my RedZ campaign manager, but with DotHop I have received even more substantial service and help from Jennifer Nguyen. I like the reports with the traffic breakdown that she has given me and I appreciate her efforts to educate me and to improve my webstore design and keywords. She has given me personalized attention and has made sure that I understand each piece of advertising performance data. Keep up the good work!
World Servants has been working with DotHop, formerly RedZ, for several years and have had a very good experience with the company. Our account representative, Chris Stanley, does a stellar job with customer service, always letting us know when there may be special rates available and ensuring World Servants is ready for any and all inquiries.
Chris Stanley works Feverishly to provide the Best Customer Service possible and is Always Only a phone call away! Very Professional experience! Thanks Chris! Anthony from SunsetRanches.info
CPC is very reasonable for our key words. Bounce rate is low and pages viewed is as good or better than other sources. I will keep advertising with them.

Thank for your concern. Understand that RedZ is still live and will continue to be. We will over time be able to see which one gets bigger as we can see them side by side.
