This site gives a great new spin on search. I found not only our products, but multiple visuals in reference to media and publication coverage. I have spoken to Bette Jo Manto before, and she walked me right through the site. Terrific interface and combination of text and images associated with the search concept.
Amazing picture based search engine! I loved the way I can view the site before entering it. It made it very easy to see what I need without flipping through several links to get to where I needed to be. Great new search engine! So much better than Google and Bing which I have usually used in the past.
This is the hassle free search engine you've been waiting for!
It has a great interface and it is simple to use. You can switch between two ways of viewing things, like a techie genius or full screen.
The great thing is you don't have to be worried about the companies advertising with the search company manipulating your search and placing their advertising in your search results at the top of the list. You'll see pretty much everything including the word you are searching for, whether you are looking at it via web, video or image.
Switch view=AWESOME! I have all of the tons of sites available on one screen and I'm able to scroll up and down through them. When you click on one site, it opens up in a separate window automatically so you don't have to use your back arrow to get back to where you were originally searching. Searching made easy!
I really enjoyed this search engine and will be using it from now on! Saving to my faves!
Renamed Scam Site from RedZee to DotHop. No one uses this search engine. Ask 100 people you see today if they have ever heard of this place and no one will.
I see the concept is a great as its visual and we know visual sells/attracts much better than words words words, however its behind the 8-ball with so much white space. The image of the web page is maybe 1/6 of the browser window and the rest of the page is snippets of the optionally cyclable pages and then about 72% of the page is white. Also it keeps cycling long after I have seen an image I like, very difficult to get back to.
In comparing this with google I seem to see an advantage in way of looking quickly at a web pages' layout (convenient to spot add-ridden sites at a glance), but in regards to images I can find more on google with less white space.
Change the amount of white space and the sensitivity with which it changes images and I would like this much more
Talk about something new and refreshing to see! I didn't realize that searching with images could be this appealing. My day-to-day responsibilities require that I spend a large portion of time doing content research, as well as finding image matches. So having a snapshot of a webpage's content would save me time, and give me a clearer picture of the websites.
That's what DotHop offers. I'm looking forward to seeing how this it continues to become more dynamic.
Been using this search engine on and off for several years now. Vast improvements have been made since then. Being a Web Designer, I appreciate seeing the front page of my site on the search engine, since I know how much time and effort goes into creating a great looking website. I believe they have a local cache system on their servers, the screenshots of the websites load very fast now as compared in the past. Advertising is very cost effective on this search engine as compared to others and CTR has been considerably higher. Most likely due to the Image of the actual site being there for potential customers to see.
DotHop is simple yet dynamic. It is the first of its kind - picture based search engine. It is convenient. I enjoy being able to see the home page of a website before I even click on it. It helps me find the website that will best fit what I'm searching for.
What I liked the most about DotHop.com is being able to preview the webpage with the side scrolling before clicking on to the page. Using Apple based products, I am personally used to sliding through images or text-based pages with ease. Having this feature on a search engine is quite clever, keeping up with current trends. I also like how the search page is not so ad-heavy. It is clean, simple, yet sleek. I may use this search engine more often ;)
Looking forward to utilizing DotHop's pay-per-click feature for our growing business. With attractive click rates, they give us an opportunity to compete for views with larger companies in our industry. Thanks Pam!
Heard about Dothop through a friend and was impressed by the magnitude and efficiency of the search engine. Love the clean cut image, it's so annoying to be barraged with cluttering ads and "sponsored" material so commonly found on other search engines. In any event I just found my new home page of choice and can't wait to share the site with my friends!

Pam did a great job following up, explaining the service and walking me through the Dashboard for my own usage and analytic and reporting needs. The url was opened up earlier than it was suppose to be, but she is currently working on an $85 credit and still assisting with changes to the verbiage below the website. She is also assisting with the change to the descriptor above the website. Should be resolved tonight or tomorrow. Will check back. I like the too. Still learning for sure.
My friend from college told me I needed to try this new search engine, I was hesitant at first but was pleasantly surprised when the site did NOT try to sneak in a bunch of cluttery toolbars or other apps. I use a touch-screen laptop and am a resident DJ in my city and I must say I've never had so much fun using a search engine! It's like it was made for my computer. I hope they keep with it, definitely takes some getting used to but totally delivers on a new way to search the web!
I have been a fan of RedZ, so it has taken a little practice to appreciate DotHop. I find that DotHop is easier to read and navigate. I 'experimented' with technical research on Oregon population history. I was pleased to find how easy DotHop is to use and the almost infinite resources it has unveiled. I am pretty conservative on giving 5 stars, but I suspect that after using DotHop for awhile, it will get the 5th star.
Visual search is a novel concept that DotHop is pioneering. I can see the importance of the rotating carousel of results for mobile users but on my desktop I like to see many results at once. I find that it is easier and faster on my large screen to scan visually. Fortunately DotHop offers that as an option. Just click on "switch view" and it gives a page full of site thumbnails. The site even remembers my preference so when I come back to search again I get the page of easily scannable images.
I was a bit sceptical at first about trying a new search engine, but I gave it a shot and my hits went up as did my calls and emails. I am still not quite sure how it works, but it does. I also like having my own account rep (Pam Schiess) who lets me know before I run out of funds or helps me optimize my phrases and lets me know when a new service is available.
Pam answered all my questions about dothope.com I was very impressed to hear about their filtering system to avoid bad clicks. It is also refreshing to have a rep assigned to your account that you can call for questions.
Dothop is a great new way to search the web. I am sure a ton of haters will fill this board with negativity as anything that isn't Google on the net gets bashed. I think Dothop is a way clean way to search. I know they are out of the Silicon Valley and are connected to Yahoo and have the patent rights to image search. The Dothop mobile app is great!
Betty was the first person I talked to with DotHop - kind, professional with heart, and very personable... I was going to hang up but she was so pleasant and informative I decided to listen... and then I talked with Pam who is efficient, answered my questions before I even knew what I was going to ask, and guided me thru the sign-up process with ease! Looking forward to working with your company and growing my business!
Saw a article in the Washington Post on your image search. I downloaded your
App for my iphone and I gotta say this is the best freakin app. I don't even use google anymore. They are way to invasive and invade your privacy. I see big things for you guys.
