I made the mistake of placing three separate orders with Direct Liquidation — and each one was worse than the last. Order #1: A pallet of monitors they claimed would be at least 75% functional. In reality, only about 30% didn't have shattered screens. I chalked it up to bad luck. Order #2: A pallet advertised as "NEW" with no dents, scratches, or cosmetic damage. What I received was beyond unacceptable — the box had a hole the size of a basketball, and both units were heavily damaged, with bent metal frames and completely non-functional components. Thankfully, I have video footage showing the delivery process, including the condition of the items as they came off the truck. Customer service initially offered only a 25% store credit, which I refused. I escalated the matter to my credit card company and provided full documentation. Direct Liquidation later claimed they'd issue a refund — but only for 45% of the total invoice. They're now insisting they don't cover freight (which is irrelevant, as even without freight, their refund offer is still short). They filed a shipping claim as that's who offered the refund amount from the warranty company on the frieght. The original product photos showed no such damage, suggesting the items were repackaged post-damage or intentionally misrepresented. Either way, it's shady behavior — and they likely didn't expect the buyer to have video proof of condition while the pallet was being unloaded. Order #3: This pallet had already shipped before I saw how unreliable they were. It was missing three items, including two electronics that had been removed from open boxes (cords left behind) and another item that was completely absent. Nothing on the pallet was sealed — not taped shut, not wrapped. Anyone could've helped themselves during transit. Once again, I provided video evidence. Their response? An $85 store credit for over $500+ MSRP of missing product. They denied further reimbursement because the delivery driver provided no BOL (Bill of Lading) to sign or notate shortages. I showed video footage of the delivery — which apparently still wasn't good enough for them. Bottom line: This company is at best unethical — and at worst, engaging in outright fraudulent behavior. Also, be warned: They operate another front called goWholesale, where they claim to offer 90-day warranties on refurbished items. One of their own reps encouraged me to try that site instead. That alone raises red flags — they're clearly trying to rebrand to escape the reputation they've earned. Many reviewers have suggested that Direct Liquidation picks through pallets before shipping them, removing the best items and leaving the junk. After ordering three pallets myself, I believe that wholeheartedly. Do NOT buy from Direct Liquidation if you're hoping to resell. You're far more likely to lose money — and time — battling their shady practices.

They take a non-refundable deposit on the offer before the deal is concluded. Then they put a huge price tag on delivery and exclude pickup. There is no information about the location.

SCAM! Do not buy! Purchased a pallet online which was labeled "damaged/missing parts/tested not working" when I get to the warehouse, the items I purchased had been fully recycled! Warehouse staff advised me to leave the pallet there, since it was labeled incorrectly, and they will contact customer service for a refund.

They did not give me a full refund and charged a 10% cancellation fee! Very disappointed with customer service received, and do not recommend doing business with them! I have purchased pallets from them before with no issue, but will not be purchasing from them again.

Hello Janna!

We’re sorry to hear about your feedback. Your experience is very important to us, and we regret that it did not meet your expectations.

Each listing includes a detailed description of the lot and its condition. Items categorized as Tested Not Working (Salvage) have undergone basic repairs but did not pass technical or physical condition tests. These items may have distressed, incomplete, or missing packaging, and essential components, accessories, or documentation may not be included.

Items in the Damaged/Missing Parts category are retail returns with visible damage or missing key parts and accessories. No testing or repairs are performed on these items, and their operational condition is unknown. Both categories are sold "as is," without warranties or guarantees of functionality.

We provide this information upfront to ensure customers have clear expectations. This is one of the reasons these items are offered at significantly reduced prices.

Regarding the cancellation fee you mentioned, our FAQs also state that refused shipments are treated as regular returns and are subject to a 10% restocking fee, plus return shipping costs if the order was shipped by us.

We hope this clears up any concerns you might have. To give you extra peace of mind, we also offer brand-new and refurbished items that come with warranties. If there’s anything else you’d like to know or if you need a hand with anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@directliquidation.com. We’re always happy to help!

Legal robery
December 4, 2023

Items won't match what is on manifest. And customer service will point you to small imprint "The manifest will not be 100% accurate but is used as a representation of the overall contents of the pallet and should be used as a close guide" meaning you will not get billing adjustment or refund. And btw, most of the "customer return" items are damaged/broken, Basically you are buying garbage as others mentioned.

BEWARE!STAY AWAY!
August 31, 2023

I ordered a pallete of speakers. The manifest did not match the number of items. I was missing about 8 - 9 speakers. Sent a message to the customer service and asked for the information about the missing stuffs. I was told he will get back to me for updates. I followed up coulpe of times. After a month he replied stating about their return policy (highlighted in yellow) saying that all their return stuffs are AS-IS.And for sure we cannot return the speakers anymore because they have a 1 month return policy... Honestly if there is a 0 star rating, I would choose that..

They give you a list of items you are bidding on but the last 2 orders are not the same. The 1st order I marked as an error. The 2nd was not even close. Two different brands and did not ship everything.

Hello,

I have no words to describe how disappointed I feel about the pallets received. They said that it was 75% working goods, which is wrong because it is 90% damaged goods from the pallets(12) I received.

Almost all the items had receipts attached that read "Return Reason: damaged", whereas they (DL) said there was no way of knowing that. For example, one pallet containing grill and washing machine are both damaged and in non-working conditions as per the receipt attached to them, so that is one pallet which is a complete waste, which makes 0% working item from one pallet.

I will not be able to get back the money I spent in purchasing/shipping this lot not even closer.

Please don't sham people like this. It is a lot of money, hard work, and time that I put into buying, transporting, and sorting this lot. But I will not be able to even make enough money to get my money back, on top of that I might have to rent a dumpster to get rid of all the damaged goods. This is a total loss and disaster for me!

This is truly frustrating.

Thanks

Scam
September 12, 2022

100% scam! Don't fall for the "as is" lot! We only bought a small lot, and we sure are glad we did the test! Supposedly, these lots will have about a 75% plug and play rate. Meaning, 75% will be good to sell. Our lot cost us $363.00, and if we can make our money back it will be a miracle! Basically, we have spent our money to have the honor of selling Wal-Mart return junk, and hoping that we can get our money back.
Our complaint to Direct Liquidation was given pretty much the brush-off! They said "wait for it" the lot was sold "as is" and "sorry". Of course, if you look at the pictures of the items that you are purchasing, the pictures are of brand new, undamaged and unused items! A total misrepresentation of what they are selling. Our "lot" was almost 40% straight out unsellable trash!
No testing needed, it was visibly broken! All I can say is "DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY "!

I ordered multiple pallets and I can tell you guys that every time they ship your pallet. Your item will be missing or wrong item will come.
I bought a VIZIO speaker $500 and they switched to $50 kidd 7 golf set. Another pallet they were missing two items price around $800 I think they are intentionally keeping good product and sell it directly to customer. Then switch that product with $#*!ty one or missing. I contacted them but they are saying "SOLD AS IS" What kind of $#*! is that? DONT TRY TO BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE NEVER NEVER DONT TRY TO RESELL BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GONNA MAKE BREAKEVEN POINT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GONNA SHIP AS DESCRIBED. Please don't use this platform. I am gonna post this review everyday till their business is down

Problem resolved
May 31, 2022

On 6/6/2022. The customer call and resolved the issue. Very thankful for customer service Mr Miguel. Problem number 1: I drove 1 hour 30 minutes and come pick up 4 pallet. But have 3 pallet for pick up. The number 4 is not real and I don't understand why they even put on websites let people buy it while that pallet not available. Problem number 2: I bought a pallet of power washer's. On the description it says it was a returned from store or from a website. This item in the pallet was a display item not for resale. There is no internal parts on the inside of the motor. I tried to explain to Alex at customer service and he said that it is sold as is. And I completely understand that when I bought the pallet these are returned items. But this item is a display item not for resale not a item sold in the store or website. I asked for a refund on the item not the whole pallet because it was a not for resale item. If I'm the description it said that it was a pallet of not for resale items in the pallet I would understand but that was not what the description said. After I talked with Alex and now Also my account block.

Overpriced junk
December 29, 2021

Direct liquidation used to sell items at 5-10% of retail cost. Now they sell at approximately 5-20% above retail. The worst part is that most items you purchase are defective or just plain trash. I've purchased items that were full of cockroaches and other types of bugs as well as having food, hair and other unidentifiable substances in and on the items. I've purchased items then went to pick up and they gave me similar items but definitely not what I've purchased. Then refused to replace with the proper items or refund. I no longer use direct due to all of the issues I've encountered. They did offer me a 20% off coupon to change my negative review to positive. They said it will never expire. I changed my review then when I tried to use the coupon they said it was expired and not valid. Never again will I fall for their deceptive practices or purchase from them. I am writing this review just to make others aware of what to expect when buying from Direct liquidation.

I have been buying from this company for over 5 years This company presorts all of the "Untested customer returns" Takes the most valuable ones and sells them to the consumer market directly! The same market their customers sell to on ebay, amazon and their own website as VIPOUTLET. They also started selling individual products to consumers on directliquidation.com. They are controlling the customer returns market then liquidating the bullsh*t they can't sell. So if you are a reseller looking to resell the products you purchase form them to the consumer market ie. EBay, Amazon, Etsy, Newegg, Walmart.com then you are competing with the same exact company you are buying from and they are selling for prices way cheaper than you can sell and even make money on. You can't have your cake and eat it too! You either choose to wholesale or resell and you will never achieve the required volume for the Walmart trucks by individually reselling them all. GREEDY will make you fail in the end and that is exactly what is going to happen to you and it's exactly what you deserve.

This company is horrible, my first time buying from here and shipping is so misleading, it said i had to pick my own shipping, which was the only option so i figured they would give me a choice of shipping carriers in a email... WRONG, they actually want you to create a shipping label send it to them, and then they will send it to what ever warehouse you order from on they website, complete waste of time and bull$#*!. Then im trying to get refunded and the 3 people i talk to said the order hasnt been prepared yet we will cancel the order, you wont get charged the 30% restock and you will get refunded soon. That was last week, i check my credit card statement and guess what, they charged me for the order that was so called being cancelled, $#*! this whole company stay away
