Outstanding quality with no lack of quality even given the price. Great selection and best option for someoneon a semi-budget needing good stock-like resources
The chat customer service team is amazing! They never had me jump through hoops or have me talk with multiple people. Would recommend to other poeple.
Do NOT give your billing info to this company. They will continue to charge you even after canceling the free trial. My first invoice was even double billed $59 x 2.
The photos I downloaded were great. However, I had some issues with the videos I downloaded.
So I asked customer service and they said it would take 24 hours to resolve. They came back with a very weak solution and again said another 24 hours.
I consider myself an incredibly patient and level headed person... but...
As I waited, I noticed a second charge on my card. It auto renewed. This feature was not clear and obvious when I signed up.
So I called and asked politely for a refund. The lady over the phone barely spoke English and said it was against their policy... so she couldn't refund me.
After arguing back and forth, I finally had to raise my voice and get assertive, which I hate to do to another human being, however... in this case... I literally had no choice.
The fact is, I would easily purchase more videos and photos if my issues were resolved... but...
Instead, I got the exact opposite. Horrible customer service from a company that only wants to keep charging my card instead of help a customer out.
What happened to providing great products and helping your customers?
In short, I rate this company a total scam with BS policies geared towards charging your credit card on auto renewal as much as possible.
It's disgusting how the customer service team treats you.
I reported the charges to my CC company and changed my account number because I do NOT feel safe leaving my CC with this kind of business.
I found the images related to Engineering, drafting and modeling too genetic and very limited. After couple of weeks, there is no point in extending the membership
I recently purchased the monthly plan and it has been a tremendous value to my company. I highly recommed giving it a try if you are constantly looking for good quality photos.
Easy to work with. Would like a wider selection of people from which to choose. Several photos were repeated. Grateful to have Depositphotos available at a good price.
First time user. The first picture I saw from my search was the same picture Godaddy had in their stock photos. Apparently I can't use it to make memes for my Facebook page. Not impressed.
I have used and looked at other Stock Photo sites. The prices on some sites are extreme. I thought that Deposit Photos prices were more than reasonable and their database of photos is very extensive.
I was contacted fairly quickly by someone in customer service to deal with my issue. I believe it was resolved and appreciate the improved effort and professionalism.
I had difficulties with this company a year earlier, but the issue was eventually resolved and I decided to give them one more chance, so I signed up for a monthly subscription of 5 image downloads per day per month. BIG MISTAKE! Every few days I have no access to my download allotment of images. If you don't download your allotted number of images, you lose them. When it happened once, I let it go, but it continues every few days. When they do give you extra credits to make up for the loss, they don't notify you so you don't know you have those credits until you check your invoices to find the credits that have since expired!
And the payment issue submitted by another complainant is indeed an issue. It doesn't matter if you deselect the recurring subscription with Paypal, DepositPhotos keeps taking funds anyway. The only way I could make it stop was to shut down use of that credit card with PayPal completely to keep DepositPhotos from taking funds.
The idea that stopping a subscription is the subscriber's problem is ludicrous! I have other subscriptions through paypal and the companies bill one month at a time. There is always an option to renew automatically or manually, which is good business. DepositPhotos is still in business only because their subscribers have no way to stop them from stealing their money without a whole lot of grief and frustration. Rip-off IS their business model.
Signed up with DepositPhotos because they had good prices, but they are only cheap because they're trying to scam businesses. They know darn well that the majority of people buying stock images are doing so for commercial purposes, which is why just about every stock photo license allows for commercial purposes. If I wasn't going to use images for commercial purposes, I'd stick with creative commons. Read through their "standard license" and it never says anywhere that the images cannot be used for commercial purposes, but instead for "non-retail" purposes and even for retail purposes, they can be used as long is it is not a major component of the work.
I added these images on a few of the non-main pages on my site and not even as the lead images on these pages. Yet within a week of signing up, the company reached out trying to shake me down to sign up for their "business license," claiming that their standard license is only for non-commercial purposes. Of course the $29 package for a standard license is suddenly about $290 for a business license.
I went ahead and deleted all of their images from my site and cancelled my plan. I'll just pay a little more to use one of their competitors who have similar plans for just about the same price only without any commercial restrictions. I'm tempted to even download the same images from the competitor's websites because they're not even exclusive to DepositPhotos.
I have had a running subscription with DepositPhotos for several months now. About two months ago, I noticed that they had charged me about a day earlier than they were supposed to. This month, when I went to download a picture, it said that my subscription was up and that I needed to purchase another - so I did. Two days later, they charged for me another (second) subscription automatically.
What? How could I be prompted to buy another subscription, and then have my "first" subscription renewed automatically? That makes no sense. Yes, I know they renew automatically, which I am normally fine with. However, what I do NOT like is being charged twice and then when I go to Customer Service to dispute it and that I would like for one of those charges to be refunded, to be given the run around.
I was told two different stories by two different customer service people. It was only when I outright said I would be contacting my bank to have them initiate a chargeback, that they took any kind of initiative in making this right.
I do not like being played for a fool and then having a hard sales pitch thrown at me ("You've been with us for so long, it seems like it would just be best that you have two subscriptions" - yes, I was told this when I asked for a refund). I am going to begin looking for another stock photo source immediately. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
Auto flag account fraud, blocked and stolen my money monthly with hidden fee, please stay away from it.
Good photos and goo dprices, just what I need for lo-$ client pubs. - One Getty pic blows my budget for a year. Zero problem with subscrips - Buy a clue, whiners: read before you sign.
I love this site. It has so many options. I liked the vector option. The prices are very good. The children's vector images are funny. You can tell a story using these pictures.
I'm able to get the photos I need for my newsletter, complete with the proper license to avoid potential future troubles for a very reasonable price. They've got lots of whatever I need.
I found Deposit Photos very easy to navigate and all the photos I needed. The prizing structure I found for my use very attractive and could be easy enough upgraded if need arises. Overal I can only recoment Deposit Photo to anyone who is looking for photos or videos to use for his webpage.

Extremely difficult to cancel my monthly automatic withdrawal. Tried calling/ using the website to cancel/ did an online chat. Support agent was unable to help.
Answer: I chose them because other websites are too expensive for the amount you get. This is not an issue if this is being done in a commercial setting as cost is part of doing business. I on the other hand am a digital artist who creates non commercially and do not profit off my creations. I create for the sake of creating. I am able to get 30 downloads for $30 a month which for my purposes is perfect. For someone that just wants to create art non commercially then depositphotos offers the best value.
