I had a terrible experience with Deporvillage. They sent me the wrong product, refused to admit their mistake, and made me pay for the return. Their website contains misleading information, and their customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful.
To make matters worse, they falsely accused me of damaging the item, using unclear photos as "proof," and refused to refund me. Their only "solution" was for me to pick up the product in Barcelona—completely unreasonable for a customer from the Netherlands.
After reading similar reviews online, it seems like this is their business model. I feel scammed and strongly advise against ordering from them.
No refund after 2 months for a returned order. Thieves!
Nothing stating that because I'm from the UK I'd be responsible for import charges. If that was made clear at checkout I wouldn't have purchased.
Refused my dhl parcel as the extortionate import charges of £143 for a £271 order.
Deporvillage confirmed they have received my order back but nearly 2 months on I still don't have my refund. I keep getting the same automated response wait another 7-10days. I've reported it to Monzo and Mastercard.
Now hiding behind a dispute being raised. Which if they was honourable they can refund and close dispute. But they fail to be a honest company. Stay clear.
Steal your money. Stay away
Buyer beware of Deport Village. They are an absolute Fraud website. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I ordered an expensive pair of Altra running shoes and got nothing and can't get my money back!
I ordered one pair of lovely waterproof shoes for an upcoming trip. Upon timely arrival I found the shoe design unsuitable for my full foot. I contacted the vendor and the vendor,
Deporvillage authorized a return at my expense. They suggested I used a shipping company that tracks packages. I chose to use the same as they used to sent it. Imagine my surprise when I was quoted $160.00 U.S. dollars. The price of the shoes was $98.00. So I seem to be stuck. Why would a US client purchase a returnable item from this vendor when they do not pay for returns? I cannot understand the marketing outreach on this! Disappointed in Miami
I have been shopping online for over 20 years. In all this time, I have never experienced worse customer service than here. I received used, incomplete goods, probably after return. I wrote to support. Even though the shipment arrived in perfect condition, the support blamed them entirely. When I disagreed with their opinion, they spent several subsequent emails trying to force me to blame it on GLS. Support even asked me for photos of equipment that I wrote about as missing in the set, absurd. When I firmly refused and wrote to them that I would report the matter to ECC, I received an answer that I had to return the product and pay for the return. You are just frauds, why should I pay for your mistakes and incompetence?
Buyers Beware, do not trust this company and avoid buying anything from them. Deporvillage does not respect the European and local laws concerning the right that clients have to return the item within 14 days of it's delivery, as that they are legally abided to do. I've bought a Zbike with a defect. I've reported the defect straight away and as the quality of the item was poor so decided to request a return of the item, as it's my right. The customer service simply did not accept the items back, as it's mandatory by law. I will now need to go to court to enforce my rights of something that should be granted straight away. Terrible experience, as a ex-client I can only advise to buy elsewhere
Their website does not list correct sizing info. (This is a jacket that I have bought previously from Gorewear. Deporvillage lists sizes that are NOT the same as what Gorewear lists.) Not knowing this, I ordered the same size (Medium) as I ordered from Gorewear. It is not the same size. It is a "EU size Medium" which is actually a "US size Small" Company requires I return, pay return shipping and customs and will only get the item's cost reimbursed (not original shipping cost. Needless to say, it is not worth returning. "Customer service" is a fraudulent runaround distraction. They even avoid listing an email on the website for customer service. Chat is useless. Don't waste your time trying to get customer service. Order with the risk of not knowing what the sizing really is. FYI customer service is *******@deporvillage.com
I would give a zero star if i could.
I bought an indoor bike trainer. Long story but it was damaged when I assembled it. Deporvillage would not take it back or replace it as they blamed the courier for damaging the box it came in. After many messages back and forth I took legal advice (European Consumer Centre Ireland - they were excellent) and sent it to them.
They quickly responed and accepted it was their fault and legally they have to replace or refund it.
At no point did they apologies that it was their fault or for their dishonesty.
I would keep well away from Deporvillage
SCAMMERS
I returned an order (with 6 items) and they send me an email saying that they have only received 5 of the 6 items. I am stunned because this has not happened to me in 5 years with amazon and with Deporvillage it happens to me in the second order with them.
I have to assume that it is a way of taking money from customers when they return products.
Of course they don't give me a solution.
Of course I will report them.
I placed 2 orders with this company, and after some time both orders were canceled, with the justification that it was done due to my request, which was not true. Absolutely dissatisfied with this company and would recommend anyone to stay away from having any business with Deporvillage.
We received order without 1 item, filed the problem with Deporvillage, send photos and got e-mail
That there have been no issues either in the order preparation or in the delivery.
So everything went well, and the item disappeard magicly I guess. It was our last time ordering there.
After ordering an item accidently, I immediately rang them to explain the mistake, however the lade rude lady from their customer service department informed me that it was basically tough. She admitted that they had not packaged the item, but basically said that I had no rights. This company is criminal and does not abide by its own policies and more importantly, the LAW!
I am very disappointed with the service! I ordered 10 days ago and was informed that I would receive my order in a few days. But the days went by, but the order still wasn't received. I had to call them. It turned out that one of the items was out of stock, so they weren't shipping anything. Why was I not notified? The girl on the phone wished me luck and hung up. I called again, another girl canceled the article that was out of stock and promised a refund and that I would receive my order on Friday. On Friday I received nothing, of course. I called again. I was told that the article was not cancelled and that I was waiting for nothing. Since I could not wait any longer, I had to cancel the entire order. I am shocked at this service and that these people don't care at all about their customers and the money they could have earned, but end up having to refund because of employees like this who can't do their job and don't appreciate their customers. I do not recommend this company!
Urgent Warning. This "online trade" systematically steals money by not replacing returns. Questions are brushed aside with stand phrases. Since the company is based in Spain, it is increasingly advertising in foreign markets, as legal prosecution by foreign buyers is unlikely. Absolutely avoid - the money is gone!
In October 2022, I purchased a pair of Gore tights in size XL. I live in Canada. They shipped a European XL, which is a North American Large. Says so RIGHT ON THE LABEL. So, too small for me. After contacting Deporvillage, they tell me that this is totally my fault, and the only option is to return them to Spain. So I'm out the shipping ($25) and the Canadian Import duties ($22), and I have to pay to post them back at my expense. I do so, and then...nothing. After several months I contact "customer service" asking about my refund, only to be told they never arrived. I figure the tights are lost. What arrives in middle March? The tights came back marked "Refused" and "return to sender". I send a photo of the package to "customer service" and they say they refuse packages that have "expenses" assigned to them, yet I used their own "Returning materials" label. What a load of bull. My Advice? Do not buy anything from this organization. It is a huge risk. Sure the price might be attractive, but the chance of a negative experience is very high.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I purchased some ASICS shoes and unfortunately it was the incorrect size. I returned the item by following all of the returns steps exactly as it is on their website and I paid for the postage to return it. It took 2 months and the product ended back on my doorstep. It took about 20 emails back and forth for them to then say that the product and packaging I sent them was damaged. The box and package that was returned to me months later was perfectly intact. Their returns policy is not what they say it is BEWARE!
There website is simply not clear that there is 20% vat plus customs charges or that it is a company shipping from the EU. I will see what they say as it will get returned to sender and not reach me, but other eu sites make it very clear this will apply, they don't.
I imagine returns from the uk will be expensive.
Ordered running shoes on August 28 and they accepted the order and charged my card. Then sent multiple emails week after week that there is a delay and finally told me that they do not have the shoes available. I was supposed to select a different color. I did and all of a sudden they wanted 30 more Euros. Customer Service is difficult to deal with. After 10+ emails back and forth with Yasmine I had them cancel the order. They returned the funds. Waste of time. Do not buy from them.
I would have expected that the company sends me shoes of the same size in a different color (after my approval) without wanting extra money! Deporvillage did not honor the original purchase agreement they entered with me.
Do not do business with this company. They are an absolute scam. Trying to get a n 8 oz. Package, a fake Columbia jacket, was going to cost $240. They need to be shut down.
Please do not put yourself through the painstaking process off using this company. -10/5. Possible scam? No customer care department. Should be arrested and jailed
