This is different from insurance somehow, before I retired I had dental insurance but always had a co pay so it doesn't seem much different to me, except for a lot less paperwork and back and forth and stalling.
The wife and I have been paying our dentist top dollar prices for years. We stubbed on this program by accident and our looking forward to saving some money. The person on the phone was very polite we did need to change dentist thou since our old dentist was not on this network.

It is helpful to have the 25% discount depending on how often you go to the dentist. But, it has become too expensive to be cost effective. Rates for family plan have gone up to $139.99.
Not sure why you charge a One Time $10 processing fee - wouldn't that just be a cost of doing business? And, why would this be a "ONE Time Processing Fee" if you charge for it every year?
We are sorry for any confusion. "One Time" was a clarification we added because we had a number of members who thought it was a recurring monthly fee. So we added the "One Time" to help clarify that it is only a one time annual charge. We are working on different ways to word this and are open to new ideas. What is the $10 one time fee?
We didn’t want to simply raise our price because in the 15 years we have been in business we haven’t once raised our prices. But we did want our members to know why there is now this additional cost. There are a number of reasons we had to add this fee in recent years. First and foremost when a plan is purchased, even if we do not mail a physical membership card, a number of non-refundable fees need to be paid regarding discount plan regulations, network fees, and compliance fees. When someone requests a refund, there is no way for us to get those fees back. It’s the old one bad apple ruins it for everyone scenario. Additionally, in recent years states have enacted a number of additional regulations and audits for discount plans which have driven our costs higher and have made it harder for us to service our members. We will always continue to strive to keep our plan cost down and we appreciate your understanding. We love providing great customer service and we greatly appreciate our loyal customer base.

It took me a while to figure out how this business model works, but I believe it's like concierge medical care. You pay a certain amount per year to a group of practicing providers, and that buys you discounts on care that you know you're going to need, rather than insurance, which is intended to cover the unexpected. You get discounts (though minor, perhaps) on the latter, too, of course.
This card save me so much money on dental work. I had a crown put on and all the prep work done and saved 50% off the original price. There was no wait time to use the card. I call the day of the procedure and was covered with the card.
Omgggg this saved me. I have absolutely no dental insurance and this was offered to me at my dentist office. I paid a $130 yearly cost for my sister and I which cut my dental price for fillings and tooth removal in half. Honestly this is better than insurance.

We received this plan from someone who works at a dentist and we have kept this plan ever since. We receive a substantial discount on our dental bills because of this plan. So glad we have it and we continue to renew year after year. We did the math and figured the cost of this plan and then factored in the price we would have been billed without it, and like I said the savings are substantial.

It's very simple to use your Dentacard at the Dentist. It saves you money on Dental procedures and teeth cleanings. Just show your card to the many participating dentists and they apply a discount to your billing.
Super easy to join. I was given a flyer with my dentist code number on it. When to DENTACARD.COM and had some questions. I called and was greeted by a very courteous and friendly voice on the phone that answer all my questions. Sing up and use it the nexts day.

Unless you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan that includes dental coverage, DentaCard is the best option for anyone who may need a dentist. After researching the premiums of dental insurance, I have found I save a great deal more by paying out-of-pocket and even MORE since enrolling with DentaCard. Of course, I try to practice good oral hygiene myself and only need to visit my dentist for routine care and the occasional emergency
