I was very pleased with the speed of the response when I wrote to customer support about the Tide that I had bought through "Buy It Now" but had never received. I got the tide yesterday and also was given 63 free bids as compensation for the delay (11/22/2013 to 1/3/2014).
They let you "win" enough to whet a gambler's appetite, then you pay and pay. You get just enough to keep you paying, but overall you end up paying way more for things than you would if you bought them outright. Stay away!
When shopping for things you're planning on buying anyway, why not try to win it at a good price. If you don't win, you can buy the item at regular price and get your bids back to try for something else. The auctions are really unpredictable and people win some really good deals every day.
My experience with DealDash has been fabulous. I'm treated like a Queen. My questions are answered promptly and courteously. You feel great when you're a winner and DealDash gives you so many auctions to win and feel good about it. It's important to start out with enogh bids to win small and then go up the ladder. The commercials on TV are true. You can win often just what you want. I love DealDash. It cheers me up on dark days. Huge kudos for DealDash!
They was quick to respond to the problem I was having, and refunded my money for a gift card that I didn't receive.
Good to hear customer support was able to help quickly resolve this problem for you.
Very fast response for this time of year. I am sure they are very busy at this time. I have been doing penny bidding with DealDash since 2010 and if I ever had a problem big or small they have always been quick to respond back to help me solve the issue. I just didn't expect being so close to Christmas and all I would hear back from them so quickly ( less than 24 hours) and take care of it. Thank You
Thank you Ron for your customer loyalty. We're glad to hear you've had a good experience over the years and we look forward to making the service even better in 2014 and beyond. Happy New Year!
These folks are great i clicked on the link thinking i was spending. 60 cents and it was 60. Dollars and im on social security and that took all my money when i asked for a refund they were on it and did it for me! I CANT say enough for deal dash.com! They are wonderful!
Thank you Marilyn for the feedback and I'm glad to hear your issue was resolved for you. Happy New Year!
My auctions for some reason was showing I won but would not let me pay there was a bug in the auctions I let deal dash know they checked it out and stood behind the problem. Thanks Dealdash I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO EVERYONE.
MOST SINCERELY S FLEMING
Thank you, good to hear this issue was solved for you! Happy New Year!
DEALDASH IS THE BEST PENNY AUCTION ON THE WEB HANDS DOWN! I AM A LIFETIME CUSTOMER! A++ CUSTOMER SERVICE
I checked out the FAQ of this site before I started bidding and no where did it say that you will be reimbursed if you spend all your bids. The only way you can 'bid' on this site is to 'buy bids'. I paid $60.00 worth. Now underneath each photo of the product you're bidding on it has the price of the item and if you buy it outright you'll get 'this many bids back', because the FAQ did not say I would have to spend more money for the pleasure of bidding more once my bought bids ran out, I just assumed that once my bids ran out that because I did not win the product that my bids would be refunded. If this is what you are thinking too, you're wrong.
THIS IS A SCAM! Save your dollars and go to a site where you don't have to 'buy bids'. I'm sure each one of you can think of at least one popular site right off the top of your head.
Look at it this way... you go to a flea-market with the intention of buying something. Some flea-markets you don't have to pay to go inside, others you have to pay anywhere from $1.00 to $10.00 to get in.
Would you think the person running the flea-market a decent man or a scam artist if he told you that you can not spend one penny on any of the items at any of the vendor's tables unless you buy 'this many tickets for $60.00' and then added, if someone else buys the products you're interested in you're out of luck you don't get your sixty bucks back (or however much you gave for the 'pleasure' of shopping there). Of course you would call him a scam artist and warn everyone about him.
No one can tell me that this is not deliberate. If it wasn't deliberate, then this auction site would have the fact that once your bought bids run out you have to pay more, IN their FAQ or preferably on top of their home page in bold letters so NO ONE would miss it and everyone would know what they are getting into.
In their FAQ they say they are 'fair & honest' and 'if you don't win you'll get your bids back for a second chance' well I didn't win because I ran out of bids and I did NOT get my bids back.
Hi Joanne, sorry for any confusion about how the auctions work.
1. Buy Bids
2. Browse Auctions
3. Start Bidding
4. Win & Save
5. Did not Win? Buy it Now and Get Bids Back
If you don't win an auction with your first bid pack purchase - we'll give you a second chance. If you're still not satisfied with your shopping experience - we'll give you a full refund on your first purchase. Please get in touch with our support team and they'll be glad to help you out.
Thank you and Happy New Year!
Bidding is a lot of fun, and I even won an item that I really wanted, but i was very disappointed to find out that they don't ship to Hawaii. This means my only choice is to trade the item i won for bid credit. However, it doesn't make sense to continue using the site since they don't ship to hawaii. I sure hope that changes someday.
Sorry Kristine we can't ship to Hawaii at this time. Hopefully in the near future. Happy New Year!
The auction lasts too long! Who really has time to sit and bid for days upon days! The site claims it gives out deals but if I wanted to buy the item it now I could just go to the store and pay the full price... That's not a deal in my book but... Curiosity killed this cat for sure! I've learned my lesson.
Hi Nicole, if you have the time and patience it's possible to get some really good deals and if you don't win you can just pay the same price for the item as you would at a store and get back all your bids to try again. This is why so many people enjoy shopping here. You get a chance to win a good deal and if not you can just buy the item at normal price and not lose anything.
I had a big problem with a winning prize and they did so much to help me and straighten it out. The best people to work with
I have been using Deal Dash since Sept. Winning some, losing some, using the option to Buy It Now (BIN) and getting my bids back on something I really want.
I have been lucky to get a 39" LED TV for only $12.75 and a Applebees $25 gift card for $. 76 and those prices include the bids I used. You have to use common sense and restraint not to go crazy and overbid. I have seen that happen too ofter.
I invite friends to try Deal Dash but to be careful on how to bid.
Had a small whoops on an item from DealDash and when it was delivered only part of the order was there. Had nothing to do with DealDash but rather with the supplier. When I brought it to their attention they resolved the issue very quickly and very satisfactory to me. I have been using DealDash now over 1 year and love it as much now as when I first started. It has kept me in gifts for family and friends non stop.
Hi Babs, thank you for the nice feedback and thank you for shopping with us for over 1 year now! Good to know this issue was resolved quickly and smoothly.
They offer a trustworthy service at an affordable price.
The woman IN THE COMMERCIAL paid $25 for a $150 mixer--but bid 761 times. At 60 bids for $36, she paid $481. This is the purchasing experience they are featuring in their TV ad! Shameless.
Actually the mixer retails for $350 and bids were purchased for 15¢ per bid (not 60¢). At the moment bids are on sale at 16¢. If you're interested to give it a try or have any questions please let us know. Thank you.
I called in for a refund due to my error,
Kim was very understanding to my concerns and kept me calm when I thought I was doomed she assured me she could fix my issue and that she did all while being very at tentative and kind throughout the entire time till she completed the correction I had made, Kim is an asset to your company I wish there were more CSR, s in the world that would mimic her knowledge of conducting a pleasant call all in the name of resolution which is all the customer wants 10 thumbs up to Kim thank you for all your understanding.
Great to hear Daisy, thank you for the nice feedback.
I needed a refund and it was handled in professional manner and a timely fashion.
My experience was:
* i joined and spent $21 on 60 bids
* i amazingly "won" 4 auctions for $10 gift cards (Burger King, Dunkin Donuts etc) for less than 10 cents
* i "won" an auction for 60 bids for $5.40
* i started looking for deals on stuff I wanted, figuring "what the heck, if I don't win, i'll pay full price". I identified a cordless phone set from Panasonic
* I spent all 90 of my bids on that item, and did not win it
So: to summarize:
* I spent $21 + $5 = $26
* i "won" $ 40 worth of gift cards
* I realized it was a worthless waste of time and money and stopped before giving them another penny.
NOTE 1 -- their "if their full price" were legit, I would use this site still. But you can *ALWAYS* find the same exact product on Amazon for 10-20% less. Their price is what I would call FULL RETAIL, which noone ever pays. So yeah, you can bid until you are blue in the face, and then pay FULL PRICE and get all of those bids back --- but you are paying WELL OVER FAIR MARKET PRICE
NOTE 2 - an auction for something worth $100 that sells even for $20 (great deal) takes 4 hours + to finish. (bids come in at, generally, 9 second intervals once the auction "settles in"). I don't know about you, but my time is move valuable that that.
Hi Sandro, why the negative rating? The "full price" comes directly from our partners like Best Buy meaning we price match them and many times this price is the lowest you can find anywhere. As for your second note, yes it can take some time for the auction to end so if you have the patience you can get some really good deals. Please let us know what we can do to improve your experience. Thank you.
ALL penny auctions are scam. I spend $80 on bidding. And got nothing. This was cruse vacation to Bermudas. They do not send You anything. When I call. You must go on sum websides to claim prize. No ticket no voucher YOU WON ZERO. I see now ads on TV. Showing actors who telling everybody like they won computer for $10. Mixer worth $350 for $10. This is all lie. Big lie. And will take You all day to bid item. You must stay home and do not work. Im suprise nobody shut down this auctions. Try to bid. A penny every time You bid will take You forever. And nobody ever won something worth $300 for $10. Why because people bid until item get to original price. Better go to the store. Have bad experience. STAY AWAY. SCAM.
Answer: Thats a hard question to answer, because it depends on the article, and its value. I will say I have won some great Articles, and lost many, maby more. The more valuable the article the harder to win. Personally, I gave up on Deal Dash due to the BID STOMPING and Jumpers and the gready nature of some bidders, who stockpile bids. Also, even though Deal Dash supposedly has means to catch Buddy Bidding, I myself have caught at least 4 people doing buddy bidding, reported it, and nothing was ever done about it. Finally I no longer play on Deal Dash, for the reasons I mentioned, but thats my choice. Its up to you, on what you want to do. Hope this helps.
Answer: Hi Beatriz, I want to start this conversation by inviting you to read our Audit Conducted by Ernst & Young: https://dealdash.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/dealdash_ey_audit.pdf Fair & Honest is a symbolic capture of DealDash's core values, and these certainly start and end with our commitment to being humanistic. I would love to show this to you, how can we help? Please let me know. Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi William. If you do not win an auction you will not automatically get the bids back to your account. You have the option to use the Buy it Now button. By using the Buy it Now option you will get the item for retail price and all bids back to your account that you used in the auction. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they both get the item they initially wanted, as well as retain all their bids. If you do not want to use Buy it Now you will unfortunately lose the bids. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want, so that if they lose the auction, they can still get the item and their bids back. Let me know if you have more questions!
Answer: Hi Julie, I hope you are having a wonderful day I'd be happy to explain how the Buy-It-Now option works. Each bid you place takes away one of your bids from your balance and increases the price of the auction by 1 penny, then resetting the clock to 10 seconds. It's in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. If no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sales price. If you do not win the auction, you will see the Buy It Now button. By using the Buy it now option, you will get the item for retail price and all the bids you used in that auction will be returned to your bid balance. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they get the item they initially wanted as well as retain all their bids. Please let us know if you have any other questions and be sure to read more about us here: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work Thanks so much for your great question, please feel free to reach back out and let us know if there's anything else you need. Answer: Hi Elizaabeth, Thank you for getting in touch. We offer all of our customers a full money back guarantee for the first bid pack purchase. Our payments team can get in touch with you and issue a refund. Please send me a number we can call. My email is adrian@dealdash.com
Answer: Hi Patricia, Thank you for getting in touch. I am sure this has been a misunderstanding. DealDash is audited by Ernst & Young, confirming that all bids are placed by real customers and all items are delivered. DealDash members and their acquaintances are strictly banned from taking part in the auctions. My guess is that another user may have chosen a user name similar to DealDash. If so, we'll need to change it to avoid confusion. Please send me an email with your user name, so I can find the auctions and spot the user. My email is adrian@dealdash.com I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi Jan, For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase and a winning guarantee. If you decide to give DealDash a try and don't win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance. If you're still not satisfied with your DealDash shopping experience we'll be happy to refund your first bid pack purchase no questions asked. You can even keep any bids in your account or items you have won. Giving DealDash a try is risk free!
Answer: Hi Jasmine. All items on the site are brand new, factory sealed and come with standard manufacturer’s warranties. Vanessa, I am very sorry to hear you have felt that way. Could you please let me know your user name and I'll pull up your account? I'll be happy to assist with any concerns!
