After taking a long break from Daz3D, I had a DIGITAL STORM AVENTUM X custom-built and delivered to my home, and just started setting it up as a 3D production rig... and I must say, the redesigned checkout system at Daz3D looks beautiful. Nice to see orange banners once again.
Cart is a little slow and sluggish to respond, and the lack of filtering options in the store make it hard to find what you are looking for in any meaningful way
I purchased additional content with promotional item. Would have been nice to get the 10% off applied to the extra items. That discount was only offered to me AFTER the purchase, however.
Would love to make my own sales. Some items I just need, but have to wait for them to go on sale, and then the inspiration is gone. Would love a one-time-per-month coupon to use.
Daz3D sent me an email advertisement promoting a bundle that cost more than $100 and in exchange for buying this bundle they promised that on the 1st of September I would be delivered a HD 3D Model that was time-limited, exclusive and made by an artist I've purchased products from before.
Because of this model, I paid $109.13 for the bundle before the deal cut off at the end of August and then I waited patiently until the 1st of September.
Daz3D stated on their advertisement the product would be "automatically delivered on the 1st September", however the 1st came and no delivery.
At this point Daz3D removed all references from their website, slightly suspicious. I sent them an email, and was told "it will be released today!", waited until the evening, no delivery.
2nd of September came, still no delivery, sent them another email, told the exact same thing. Wrote a post on their forum, Daz3D staff deleted it.
Now it is the 3rd of September, they still haven't delivered my product, haven't offered a refund or anything, are deleting my forum posts... Feels like an absolute scam. All I want is the product I was conned into paying money for that I'm now doubtful even exists.
Like other reviewer said, endless bug/glitches/code base, and I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. When Daz works, it can be a great 3D tool, the concept behind it and the eco system are great. But most of time even the most basic function of rendering in this tool just utterly refuse to work in Daz, 2 month of using it it's always one catastrophic Technic issue after another even on a reasonable latest rendering rig. Whenever there's a graphic driver update, Daz override resource usage and put the entire workload on CPU leave my GPU isolated that nearly killed my PC and hog my system. After I manual fixed that, boom IRAY engine fail to render, only 1% of time it works, 2 month using it, I find myself spend 90% of my time troubleshooting Daz then actually creating things. Using a buggy, none functional mess like Daz is totally anti productivity and I wouldn't recommend it.
And their official tech support is nearly none exist, they rarely reply your email, censor your comment on the forum and leave you in the dark when you need them the most.
Some latest rendering error log shows how fail Daz's iray engine is it basically telling you, "nope! Nope and nope! I won't work"
Some of the products has clear instructions. A few have zero instructions and I can't even find them after installation.
You need to make sure that anything you sell has at least a basic howto
I have always liked doing business with DAZ Studio. Excellent products and they always are compatible. However, back when Dan Farr was CEO, customer service was much more accessible.
Store is normally good with plenty of offers would be good to have more options to filter, i. E. type of item (clothing, hair, figure) or show items in whishlist
The way products are discounted is confusing. Savings is hard to calculate. Example: the price displayed for an item is $10 -30%. Buy 2 and get 50% off. 50% off what amount? Devious sales.
Over the holidays someone tried to give me a Daz gift. However they were worried about having to signup for an account. This put them off buying for me. Is there an easier way?
I love buying stuff through you but I don't like your freebees. Getting a texture for free but then having to buy something else in order to use it takes away the freebee idea. You cannot use the freebee.
Can you make the Wish List so that it tells me in the Wish List screen if anything is possibly discounted in the sales. So I can buy it quicker and not have to hunt the sales.
Would like it if what you have in your wish list told you it could be purchased through a special.
Your deals are sometimes confusing. When they are I don't buy.
It would be nice if the system told us when something is or could be a special price.
I don't like your complicated deals. I could never figure out you're last one and decided not to buy based on it.
So far so good. It would be nice if it was easier to see if what you had was on sale due to one of the more convoluted sales discounts
Good. I wish there was more information on some of the characters and effects. Sometimes what keeps me from buying is I cannot find out information about the piece.
Many products pages for which 3D printing would be desirable do not have a link to add a 3D printing license - to site just one example: Toon Dad and Fatherly Beard and Accessories for Genesis 8 Male
Many products pages for which 3D printing does not make sense do have a 3D printing license link: to cite just one example: Portrait Lights 2
Very frustrating to have to add printing licenses individually for all products that qualify for a free license.
Totally unimpress3ed with the new setup. What is required or whether I own the required product no longer shows so I don't know if I have all the requirements for a product. If I buy a texture or add-on pack, I would like to be sure I have the original product before I WASTE money.
Hard to find free content and some that are rated free content, when they are in the checkout list suddenly have a price! This is confusing and borders on unethical.
There are many G9 products that I would like to have, but they are still a bit expensive. I am planning to buy many of them in the Christmas and New Year sales.
I want to use Japanese houses and landscapes as backgrounds for my scenes. But there are very few accurate and precise contents, and kimono of old times are full of mistakes.
The trend to use SSDs as startup drives is increasing, and the sheer volume of 3D-related data means that its storage folders must be placed outside of the startup drive, which can be a problem if the design of UE5CC4DAZBlender add-ons is not flexible to these locations of the data drive.
Many products are not accurate for Samurai and women's Kimonos of that old Japanese era. I have been using DAZ to output to Blender to fix the mistakes. There are still many products that have the wrong way to handle Japanese swords "Katana".
I love the fact that I get free programs and tutorials to create beautiful creations. What a great opportunity for anyone looking for a career or just something to do as a hobby.
Great sales from time to time but their customer service is very slow to respond, and very often their advertised prices don't match the price once you place the item in your cart.
Since I cannot use DazDeals-Browser-Add-on anymore I hardly buy anything from Daz3D. Please re-affiliate them again so they don`t have to take money from the users. It's in your own interest.
Easy as always, been a Daz user for many years now. Love the store, love the DIM and the ability to access all purchases and records. Great customer service!
I used to have far more free time, and I loved to create art using DAZ3D. Unfortunately, my time is severely limited now, but I still enjoy browsing and checking out new stuff. Love the freebies! The store looks great.
Great selection, cool freebies, easy to use interface.
Answer: You get 3 free transfers then there is a cost to upgrade to unlimited. I found a much better program FaceGen Artist Pro. It's pricey at $139 but gives much better results than the built in face transfer.
Answer: Daz has a free transfer program on their website for blender, maya and many more. Works good!
Answer: No, Daz Studio does animation. You will render your animation series.
Answer: Daz3D will not read those files, as they are just text. However, the files can be "rendered" as an image, for use within Daz3D. Or, if you are asking about the other side of things, Daz3D can render images or video, which can be used along with your presentations. Both of those formats you mention, do not normally include "video formats". Neither of them are "image formats". PDF is just a text layout format for printing pages. MS-Word is just a text-formatting program, for use with printing too, for direct display in MS-Word, or on printed paper. However, it can export in other formats. (Not to be confused with "Word pad".) If you can put the words on an image, in any form, they can be used within Daz3D, for display. However, Daz does not have any form of "text-rendering code", to convert text into 3D objects.
Answer: When you register with the website, you will be given a code that is entered for you. If that fails, for whatever reason, you can go to your profile page and locate all "license codes", used to activate all the free items which may need them. (Or the paid programs, if you buy them.)
Daz3D has a rating of 3.6 stars from 1,447 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Daz3D most frequently mention good experience, customer service and high quality. Daz3D ranks 2nd among Graphic Design sites.
