Initially staff was attentive and helpful, once the purchase was made everything changed. Wedding dress was ordered two sizes smaller than it was supposed to be. Measurements were not correct (verified when seamstress double checked them). When dress was tried on it was too small because they had ordered the wrong size, unable to get another size in time. Then the alterations were over 500 dollars and a sloppy job. 2 if the bustle loops came out forcing bride to use safety pins to bustle dress. There were 2 straight pins left in dress. Back zipper was not altered as they said it would be. We were rushed during alterations. There was no privacy either when initially buying the dress and when the alterations were being made. It seems once the purchase was made there was no concerns for the customer. Another dress was purchased (MIL), wrong size ordered, again too small. Not able to get same dress delivered in time. 2nd dress had to be purchased, new shoes, new purse, only store credit even though it was their error. Again the initial measurements were incorrect when checked by the seamstress. The entire experience was "painful" and so stressful. This is not how a bride or anyone should be treated. The fact that we spent 3,000 dollars for this was a disgrace. Will never recommend their services to anyone.

This company single-handedly ruined my wedding not only did I not get my wedding dress. I was strong along for days by the associates promising it would be delivered and it never was. They never even had it in the facility. This company went bankrupt for a reason they need to be completely shut down for the emotional damages that they're doing to their customers. This company needs to be shut down, as well as legal action needs to be taken against them for all the emotional damages that they are costing their customers. Disgusting unprofessional company. There is no customer service. There's a text message switchboard for reps across seas are overseas somewhere who don't get online until after 3 o'clock. The phone systems do not work. No one returns your calls. You can't walk in the store. If you place an online order you can't call customer service if you place the order in the store. This company needs to be shut down and sue for liability.

Poor refund system. I purchased two dresses from David's. I returned them within the short 7 day window. It took two weeks to get a reply that they would refund my money and now it will take them TWO BILLING CYCLES TO REFUND MY MONEY. I had tried a dress from Revolve also. That refund was completed immediately upon it being received. There was a $12 shipping charge to return each dress.

12/30 Still have not received refund. They acknowledged I would get a refund, but it is yet to be seen.

1/6 Another week and no refund. This has been a moth of them keeping my money after the dresses have been returned. Shame on them!

I haven't experienced other bridal stores before going to David's Bridal, I wish I did. First, they employee's attention was divided between so many other brides, he wasn't listening to my requests and what I wanted until we told him we were going to leave without buying anything. After then, he focused better on me and he told us we can customize the dress however we wanted during alterations. So we bought the dress that day and scheduled an appointment for the alterations.
When scheduling the appointment we told the lady that a specific week would not work for our schedules, we would need to do it the week before. I got a text saying the appointment was made on the week that we could NOT come in. So, I had to call and have them fix it.
Upon arriving for the alteration appointment, there was no sense of direction, just try on the dress and give me some information. I was told to stand on the stage and the seamstress would help me. She took up the areas that were too big and started marking the dress for the hemming length. She did not tell me how I was supposed to stand so I was watching her. She looked up and told me "you have to look straight ahead". This would not have been a problem but it would have been avoidable and it would have been better if she wasn't rude about it. I had my arms across my mid section for 2 minutes, the seamstress looks up and says "Oh my God, keep your arms to your side." This is my first time ever getting anything altered, I didn't know. A little of prior explaining could have avoided all of this. I was shutting down, I did not want to be there anymore. The seamstress told me to walk, and I walked forward to the wall and she says, "no, out there." If she would have told me where, I would have walked there. I was looking down to see where the dress would be hitting my feet as I was walking, she said "you have to look up when you walk." Again, avoidable. I don't know if she wanted to be there and I was inconveniencing her and the team. She then told me I needed a bustle... I did not know what that was, she didn't explain what it was or what she was doing, nor did she ask if she could start that process. Another bride had to explain what it was, then I was able to tell her no.
After that, she said she was done, however, the employee who sold us the dress told us if we bought a size bigger we could line the dress, add a modesty panel, and add sleeves. We then told the seamstress that and she seemed annoyed that we were asking for things that were already promised.
Eventually, the manager comes out and asked "how important to you that we line the back of the dress?". I am just appalled at this horrible customer service. I regret buying my dress here and having alterations done here. I am paying good money for these things, you'd think it shouldn't be a problem to add or take off. I bought the dress bigger so it could be lined, buying the dress bigger would mean I would have it taken up in more areas than the original size, and the MANAGEMENT has the audacity to ask me if that was important.
After that discussion the manager seemed like she did not want to give us the 10% off code for alterations that is advertised on their website. There are so many other small details I could list about this place, but I don't have enough time to type it out anymore.

Supposedly i was connected to 'Steve' in 'corporate headquarters'. He could not(would not?) get his facts straight. Stated I couldn't return an item because it was 'too late', though date he quoted was weeks after the item came in, and he even referred to an item I never received because the 'lost' the order!‍
Essentially they outright lied to me! Luckily i do everything early so i was able to warn the other 5 in wedding party to not even consider going to David's Bridal.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy anything from them. 7 day return policy starts when you first order something, not when you receive it.

They lost order for 2 dresses i bought swatches for, one order for plum pantsuit never showed up so was forced to keep a navy blue pantsuit i will most likely donate somewhere.

I had a horrible experience with alterations on my mother-of-the groom dress. I think I could have done a better job myself and I paid $178! I had the bodice shortened at the shoulders (a reasonable $13), armholes cut down (a reasonable $33), sleeves reset (a reasonable $33), the dress and lining hemmed (an unreasonable $66) for a 34" hem circumference, and the leg slit sewn from above knee to slightly below ($33). The seams weren't finished in the armholes; the hem wasn't pressed (until I asked) and the hem looked puckered; the leg slit they partially closed was not closed completely, (part of the lining showed) and it was puckered; and they added an unexpected pleat on each shoulder. I didn't notice the unfinished seams or the botched slit until I got home, so I was stuck with fixing these things myself. I can't believe that such expensive alterations were so poorly done.

Very disappointed. I had to search for dresses on my own, even though I had an appointment. They schedule 2 customers with the same stylist, at the same time. She's running back & forth. What really pissed me off, they had No seamstress there. I was told she called off, but they did not call in a backup. How Unprofessional...

My daughter said yes to the 4 K dress at mollebridals. To the person at David's that called my daughter a Spoiled Fing $#*! in front of my 14 year old daughter. Here's the deal I am retired so I don't care. I am retired Fire Chief from Martin county Florida 600 firefighters and I used to work forPalm Beach County fire rescue 2000 firefighters. I will do everything in my power to let all these organizations know not to go to David bridals you have the ability to reach out to me so feel free to do it

Ruined my daughter's wedding dress! Do not shop or have alterations done here. I'm glad I insisted she try on before we kept the store. There was no accountability for the unacceptable alterations. Both of the alterations people smarted off to us while my daughter stood there and sobbed. I will never set foot in a David's Bridal again.

Ordered dress from Davids Bridal online. Took to love Davids Bridal for alterations. After 3 fittings which they gave me appointment 1 month apart for each they have totally ruined my dress with their alteration that I have paid way more than the dress cost. Now I am looking for a new dress 8 weeks away from wedding. Absolutely devastated and in tears!

I am highly disappointed with my dress after the alterations. The girl who pinned my dress was not focused on what she was doing and it didn't look right after they hummed it. She didn't listen to my concerns around the chest of the dress and she just put tacks in it. As soon as I put on the dress and bent over to get my shoes, all the stitching in the chest popped open. The straps were falling off my shoulder throughout the ceremony, and I have never been more uncomfortable wearing anything at all.

I ordered 4 dresses online to see what fits best. I was shipped 3 and billed for all 4. At a whopping $534.00! The tracking details read "no tracking details" and it has been weeks now since I had placed my order. I have called and text customer service with no response. The text number, they promote just goes dark after you select the reason for your text. I was on hold for 1 hour and 40 mins, just to get my turn in queue and have dead air. I spent hours trying to reach them. Not sure if I'll get the dress I ordered. With no tracking number available, my guess is the item is no longer in stock. I will be out over $200.00. I will never buy from them again! Below are the images of my time on hold and the text messages of being ghosted.

The consultant ordered the wrong size. We tried after fitting to get them to order correct size. They wouldn't do it. Spent over 3000. 00 in this store. What a rip off. They wouldn't correct the problem to keep the customer happy. Never pay in full don't even put a 1.00 down until you have the finished product. We went to pick up final still not right and still doesn't have skirt sewn up. Disgusted and would never want anyone to use David's ripoff bridal.

Had a 6 p appointment and front desk clerk was rude and rolled her eyes at the party. Ask to try on bridesmaids dresses and was told need come back. The lady that help with bride dresses did not help zip and button or even use clips. I would not never give them a penny for any dress in that store due to poor and rude service. Suppose to be a fun day for the party and ended up the worse day!

I ordered my dress back in December and they lost it so much and kept telling me different stories about where it was. I got it very end of March (but barely). I contacted customer service so many times and they refused to do a thing for me. They kept telling me that it was in in store order and that I had to deal with the store. I kept having to go down to the store in person many times and they could not even find my dress. I needed this dress altered and they told me it would be AT LEAST another month until they could get to it. Well if I waited that long, I'd have no dress for my wedding. Jokes on me though on the end because I had to take it some place else and pay them another 350 dollars and it still doesn't fit right because they couldn't alter it properly due to the fact they do not have the beads there. I spent over 1k on a dress I can not wear. You literally can not call them or email them since they do not care about you and will not respond. I literally could only recommend this place if the dress fits you and you can walk out with it. I should have went elsewhere when it took them 5x to alter my friends wedding dress since they kept screwing that up too.

My cousin went to David's Bridal for her dress and it turned out to be a disaster. The worst part was their poor customer service and placing the blame of their mess up on her. Her experience explained by her sister:
"The dress she found needed sleeves. She paid for the dress and the alterations and they used the wrong material without her permission. They blamed it on the one she chose being out of stock. But they never mentioned it to her before they sewed the sleeves on and then they added extra layers of material because the back was kind of see through." "And the dress does not fit all. And they won't give her a refund!"
The worst part is that they didn't try to make it right, instead they made a bunch of excuses. I almost bought a dress from David's Bridal for my wedding and what a blessing that I didn't end up going through with it. Look at the headache they give brides, especially when the bride is already under a lot of stress. Do better, David's Bridal, or you just might go out of business.

I ordered a dress as the mother of the groom at the request of the bride. My dress came in shortly after I had major knee surgery, making it impossible for me to pick up my dress. No problem. The bride was going with her bridesmaids to order their dresses. Problem. The dress the bride picked out for the bridesmaids did not come in the color/sizes needed for the bridesmaids. The bride chose new dresses for the bridesmaids. Therefore she chose new dresses for the mothers. The dress I ordered was brought to me by the bride. She told me that she was told in the store that the dress could be exchanged. We chose another dress in the color the bride wanted. The bride took my dress to the store to return it and order the one we decided on. The bride was informed that the dress could not be returned without the credit card. She was also told that I had 30 days from the time the dress was picked up. So, I ordered the new dress online since there were only 6 left in my color and size. My son brought the dress back to the store the very next weekend with my credit card to return the dress. This time, the store manager, Natalie, informed my son (and me along with my husband via phone) that we only had 7 days to return the dress and that time had expired. There was nothing she could do is what we were told. She had no desire to help us. Her customer service skills were horrible. Even if there was nothing she could, she could have used better customer service skills to inform her customer base. What happened to the adage that the customer is always right? If not, make them happy. I'm not happy. I need alterations done, but Natalie won't be getting my business.

I ordered a dress for my son's wedding. The assistant helping me suggested that I order the dress & if I should find another dress that I could simply return the one I ordered. You have to make returns in Person (not online or over the phone). I live an Hour & a half away. Just order from Amazon please! Their return policies & practices are much easier. The year is 2023- you would think to return a dress online would be easy -especially if you used a card. But nope they wanted me to drive a total of 3 hours to "pick up" the dress & wait 10min to let the computer system update & then they would allow me to RETURN the dress…. So $149 I wasted on a dress that I never wore nor do I have my hands on bc I couldn't get there in time before they returned it back to the warehouse! Oh this was after they called me to tell me they were going to return it to the warehouse if I didn't get there to pick it up. Then the assistant argued with me that I should've received an automated text days prior… which I didn't bc it was my home phone number they had. No one ever explained the process would be an automated text bc of course they would've needed my cell #. Anyway- Do not waste your time with David's Bridal! It's a joke. I mean my DIL's bridesmaids had no issues ordering theirs online & returning them if they needed another size. But- nope not mine…. No help whatsoever! Then acted as if it's my fault that I'm upset by having to drive back to make the "return" that we couldn't take care of this on the phone or online that I HAD to come to the store IN PERSON to return! ‍ again I thought we lived in the 21st century. Very sad.

Tip for consumers:
Just be aware that if you purchase something in their store to be shipped to the store, you have to pick it up in person they will not refund it to you unless you put your hands on it - big misunderstanding on their policy of returns.

The customer service was terrible from the start of our journey. The attendant they assigned us in the first appointment to find dresses was shoddy to say the least, she wasnt helpful or forthcoming with information. The second visit to try on dresses was not any better and we had a new attendant. Once ordered the dresses were late by over a week and lost in the store for days while they took their time helping me to get them.
Would not recommend to anyone for their services, i bought my wedding dress from a private seamstress, she was less money and better quality and great customer service.

My niece had her first appt to look at wedding dresses and they were late, no one helped her hunt for dresses, didn't ask what kind she was looking for, barely pointed us in the write direction. Finely showed us to a dressing room and acted like we were keeping her from something else. The manager went to do her paper work and was no help. More people came in without an appt and got more help than we did. The whole experience was horrible and upset my niece...

I had an appointment to pick up my dress and final fitting on June 1 at the Sunset Hills store. I drove 10 hours to get there on time and realized I would arrive earlier than my scheduled appointment. I tried calling to see if I could get in earlier. I was put on hold and then the recording said there was no one available and call was disconnected. I arrived about 1 1/2 hours early so I go to some other stores. I decided to check to see if I could get in early only to find a "temporarily closed" sign on the door. There were associates in the store and one came to assist me. She said there was a sewage problem and customers were not allowed in the store. I asked why no one called me, her reply was it was her understanding (that sounds like she didn't really know for sure) that they were calling people and it was her first day back since last Thursday. I was told I could pick up my dress, take it home, try it on and take it to St Peters if there were any issues. She went to get my dress and proceeded to show me how to do the bustle only to find there were pins on the inside liner of the dress and it wasn't finished. She said she could fix it. Ok. After about 10-15 minutes she comes back with the dress, shows me how to do the bustle and has me sign the papers. I asked her when this sewage problem happened? It happened 1 week prior! They did not even have the decency to call me. They had more than enough time. So disrespectful of me, other customers, and our time. They do not answer their phones, even from their other stores. I was told if I had any issues I could go to St Peters and some of the Sunset Hills alterations people were working in St Peters. Well, there were issues with the bustle, still. AND, I realized they did not save the lace, as requested on my alterations ticket, that was cut off the dress when it was shortened. So, after having a friend check the fitting and the bustle and multiple calls to St Peters, I drive out there. The associates in St Peters were very helpful and fixed my dress. They also told me that no one from the Sunset Hills store had been out there to work and they didn't have any extra lace from my dress. Their suggestion was to have someone go by the Sunset Hills store, knock on the door to inquire about the lace. My friends' boyfriend (he's a very nice, good guy) drove by the store and was told they didn't have it and someone named Kitty did my alterations. Suggestion was to call St Peters, because, again, they were working out there! NOT. Called St Peters, no one has been there to work. Their suggestion was to call Fairview Heights store, no one has been there except a manager. "Who's on first?" I tried calling the customer service line today and after clicking on any of the options given, every call was disconnected. The actions, or non-actions, by the associates in the Sunset Hills store and by the David's Bridal customer service are despicable and so disrespectful of their customers. I spent a lot of time and money with David's Bridal and you would think they would have the decency to respond and correct any errors. The sewage problem is not their fault, I'm guessing, but for them to not call, to lie, to not respond to phone calls is reprehensible. I would not go back to David's Bridal and I urge anyone else to not use their services.

I still can't believe it! On Wednesday, August 30th we visited David's Bridal. From the time we entered the Wilmington, NC store until we left we were never greeted. Acknowledged or assisted. I helped my granddaughter pick out and try on 6-7 dresses. Zero help from anyone! We were the only customers in the store at the time. The young lady stayed sitting at the front desk. As we were leaving we stopped to look at dress displayed right behind the desk and still no engagement from store employee. We left and went to a bridal boutique near by and had an amazingly positive, happy experience and purchased a dress (as it should be).
Not sure how Davis's Bridal is staying in business with this lack of customer service!

My mother purchased a mother's 3-piece set. My mother became very ill and literally lost 50 pounds in the course of 3 months because she was dying after we purchased the item. I called David's Bridal to see if we could exchange the dress for a smaller size and because it was outside of the return window they couldn't and wouldn't do anything. I was very disappointed that they couldn't help me. I understand they have a return policy, but I wasn't asking for my money back, just a simple exchange. It wasn't like she changed her mind about it or lost weight on purpose. They showed no compassion or sympathy for my situation and didn't want to help in any way. I will never go back to this place again.

I purchased a beautiful wedding dress for my daughter, the cost very pricey but I was ok because the detail of the dress,of course need alterations having 2 ladies taking the measurements after all they gives the total price of $1,845 for alterations, wish I was agree due to the dress had to be fix it 3 layers, side of the dress, sleeves and add 26 bottoms of the price $5.00 dollars each, well I was really upset when the call us to fit the dress and they hate to re- alterations because they didn't fix right, the problem wasn't that the problem was they wanted to charge me more money, because they said that was not written on the list the sleeves, so I have to pay $350 more, so I did it because not choice for me no time for my daughter wedding, so we back to one week later and the dress still has issues, was uneven on the bottom some areas up and some area to low, so we took the dress like that, my daughter cry and it was not much to do, I will never come back to get anything from this place at Frico David's Bridal store or any other store from this place, week after a coincidence my daughter got married and she was complaining about this same situation and it was same place, this is insane.
Please be careful to get you alterations on this place.
