Darn Good Yarn is a fabulous company, and I am so happy that I found them! The yarn is amazingly beautiful - recycled multi-colored silk. The box it came in is purple with several great quotes on it, such as, "My yarn and I are similar. As it unwinds, I do too." And the people who run the company truly care - not only about making the world a better place by supporting those who make this fabulous yarn, but also about the customer and their way of making the yarn purchase a truly fun and personal experience! I simply love this company. I was drawn in by the fabulous skirts and developed a sari wrap skirt addiction. The fabrics are gorgeous and fun and each skirt is so unique. And then I started ordering the yarn. So beautiful and great quality. The staff has been super responding to my questions and delivery has been prompt and easy to track. I also really love their philosophy about supporting the culture from which they are sourced. Cannot say enough about how happy I am to have found them.

I saw this company on Facebook because a girlfriend had liked it. I am a fanatic for East Indian fabric and clothing, so I immediately went to the site and decided I couldn't wait to do things online, I needed to CALL! An amazing young lady named Ayani called me immediately, and she was excellent help and a gracious young lady as well. I placed and order or 2 ankle length adult skirts and just received them yesterday. I am still floating on air! The quality is amazing, and the colors are from heaven itself! Exactly what I had hoped for. I' about to call them back today to order more skirts! I was going to give the first order to a friend for Christmas, and I still will, but now I need some for ME!

I got a skein of rainbow yarn that I'm absolutely in love with! Not only is it soft, but I LOVE that it's 100% recylcled! I made 4 granny squares that are going to be 2 coin purses! Thank you!

The first scein of yarn I received was super silky and crazy colorful. I completed the "Ripples Neckware" pattern with this beautiful yarn. I also received knitting needles and a crochet hook that are made of wood, of good quality, and are purple and blue variegated. I also received a few free patterns! The second box I received had a beautiful blue and purple variegated yarn. I haven't had a chance to make anything with it yet but it's stunning! I also received beautiful yarn earrings! I am in LOVE with the Darn Good Yarn box! It is only $10 a month and I won't be cancelling! I will be surprised with something new every time! I'm sooo excited!

I got my first darn good yarn $10 subscription box per month I was so excited and even though I don't wear neck warmers I used the cake of yarn to make a small pillow to decorate my bed I love pillows and I love love the way it came out thank you for the box of the month can't wait to get my next kit. I all ready got my box for Sept. Yesterday I got another box from them and I wrote them to see if they wanted me to send it back and the answer was no, keep it for yourself or give it to a friend.
That was so wonderful of them I just love the yarn and hooks.

I was excited to subscribe to the DarnGood Yarn monthly subscription. The introductory box came in a timely manner. The next-September- billed my credit card on the 1st and, here it is, the 26th and it has not shipped. E-mails with customer service were filled with promises of "shipping by Friday" but unfulfilled. A lovely idea, but you can't take people's $$ and not send the goods!
I'm so sorry you had this experience. We did have a delay with the September shipment, and I apologize if you didn't receive the emails we sent out detailing the delay. Love these skirts. Just ordered 5 more, total now 15, for my girls. They are beautiful and my girls love the versatility. This last order had one skirt with noticeable spots/stains/discolorations. They are made from recycled saris but these spots made the skirt unwearable. After sending pictures via email they are sending a replacement. Couldn't be happier with customer severe both here and when I had a problem with yarn from their subscription box. Very pleased and will continue to order.
We appreciate you writing this review and for letting us know about your last order. We are definitely trying our best to check on the skirts quality before being shipped but there are cases that we missed. I honestly noticed that we have less concerns about customers getting damage skirts lately and I'm so proud and happy for the effort of these lovely people in the warehouse. Yay! But definitely going to help anyone out if exchanges/replacements are necessary! Again, Thanks Theresa for your support:)

I love the sari silk ankle length skirts! The ones I recently got were beautiful in neutral colors. It is so much fun getting a surprise in the mail. There was an incredible sale and I bought 4 skirts for my four sisters and two for myself. I also have about 16 other skirts! I really like wearing them as skirts, dresses and cover ups. I would also really love it if they brought the short wrap around cotton skirts back. But best of all, these skirts around ethically and conscientiously created to fairly benefit the workers as well as the environment! Love it! Keep up the great work Darn Good Yarn!
