Once again Cruise Critic has squashed a review just because of the truth. As has been stated here and many other places, Cruise Critic is run and operated by the cruise lines. I recently posted a review that highlights and proves, thru their own website, that they are discriminating against solo travelers. Celebrity is " penalizing" solo travelers to the tune of 300% supplemental charges. Once this was posted for everyone to see, Celebrity had Cruise Critic remove my posting so fellow travelers would not find out about their shady practices. They banned me and removed all the posts and information. According to them, I had used a "character" in my wording that was inappropriate. Boycott Cruise Critic!
Please forward to any and all cruisers you know!
CruiseCritic is paid by the various cruise lines to "censor" the boards on their website. Any time the topic start getting traction with truth and evidence, that cruise line has them shut the board down in an attempt to silence the rising voice. Can't wait for the day to come when they get sued and hung out to dry for their actions!
Cruise Critic should be banned from the media. These hypocrites advertise and recommend cruises on their web sight. But if you recommend sights for consumer to read in order to chose a cruise they censor and banned you from their web sight. These hypocrites must be banned and penalized for their illegal actions.
The site is horrible. It offers filters but takes no notice. It tries to sell the same cruises whatever your preference. Very slow to load and not particularly helpful.
We booked uniworld from Budapest to Amsterdam. We flew into Amsterdam on 8-29-22 then flew to Budepest and stayed at a beautiful hotel due to the water being low. We took a 3 hr bus ride to Vienna for a short tour then to meet the boat. The boat was beautiful the staff wonderful you were definitely spoiled. We traveled a day 1/2 on the water and could not move. We were in Paussa for about 5 days. They would take us to a few different cities by bus. We ended up at the Sheraton in Frankfurt was not a 5 star then to the Hilton in Amsterdam. We did not sign up for a bus tour we would like compensation of some kind Uniworld says they met their obligations. So I would not suggest uniworld to anyone, their are other all inclusive river cruise out there.
I need a green the travel agency that sold us our cruise misrepresented the product by selling as a beverage package which was all inclusive and guaranteeing that the final price we paid included everything however NCL charged us another $82 per person for additional tips at the end of the cruise
We had the moderator freeze our ability to post because someone complained they did not like our post regarding a very bad experience we had on a whale watching tour with some loud mouthed red hat wearing jerks who tried to pick a fight with someone on the crew who objected to the their maga hats, crew member was just trying to avoid trouble, (we could have cared less). Totally unfair, would not respond to our communications, we ended up cancelling the cruise because we could not coordinate with other cruise passengers re: tours.
Yes, ACL is expensive but we have made five cruises with them and are booked for a sixth and all have been great. Only one had food quality not quite up to that of the other ACL cruises we took. The crew is generally English-speaking college students or after college folks and are always extremely helpful. Being able to request specific needs, such as food items, in advance is very, very nice. Only one of the cruises had a couple of (well-behaved) children as the rest of the group, such as ourselves, consists of the "older" generation. I don't think cost should be such a major contributor to a review but yes it should be mentioned. All the on-board entertainment has been truly great so rethink your reviews on this line, please.
@deluxecruises STEVE PORTER is a thief! Asking directly to REGENT cruises as I had doubts on the amount asked by Mr Porter we realised that he had made us pay for pre and post cruise program & hotels included in the cruise fare! He asked us to wire him directly on his bank account and not to Regent! More than 4000 USD! After sending proof given *******@regentcruises that he had cheated on us: NO more *******@deluxecruises are crooks!
Answer: The cruise cost is room charge, port fees, taxes, and gratuities. Transportation to and from the port. That's it. Drinks, extras, spa, shore excursions are on you. Many people spend way more than the cost of the cruise at the bars, casinos, shopping etc. You don't need to to have a really great time.
