“POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STRUCTUAL AND COSMETIC DEFECTS AT PROPERTY”

Rotonger B.
9/30/18

STOP, WAIT, READ RATING: ZERO(O) FOR COURT YARDS OF ROSES IN IRVING, TX They have poor customer service and they never answer the phone. When and if they do it is a representative but when you ask for the managers Abby and assisted mangers they never come to the phone. THEY NEVER COME TO THE PHONE AND WORK ON THE BEHALF OF POTENTIAL PROSPECTS OR TENANTS. THEY WILL TRY TO ENTRAP YOU TO PAY A LEASE WHEN THE PROPERTY IS - WELL I WLL LEAVE THAT TO YOUR OWN INTERPRETATION. I originally lived in another state 700 miles away, We traveled 17 hours on 9/28/18 from 7:00 pm to 9:20 pm and checked into a hotel by the apartment complex in order to move in on 9/29/18. I was not able to review the apartment I was trusting the apartment would look similar to the apartments on their website and like the pictures my son text me when he went to look at the apartment with the manager. She showed him a move in ready apartment or a model that was a direct contrast to the apartment they gave me When I arrived I asked to see the place but it was so many people coming into the office the office, But the agent would not take me to see it but he would ask us to get up several times to service the other clients. I asked him to call the managers or the assistant manager, because I had questions, but he said he could not because they were off, But all along her was calling them when he had questions through out the day. During that period, I witnessed at least 5-6 tenants coming in complaining how the management team did them wrong about this or that. WAIT- "THATS NOT ALL" "PLEASE READ MY SCARY ALARMING UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ON MY INITIAL SUPPOSED MOVE IN DAY ON 9/29/18" On the day of arrival My husband and I arrived at the property at Courtyards of Roses at 601 W. Rochelle Rd Irving Tx 75062 office at 9:45 am waiting in our cars full of items from our home in St. Charles, MO. Until an office agent arrived The leasing agent, arrived at 10:10 am as we were standing at the door another lady had came to the office as well before Omar had arrived. Omar waited on her first. We had not viewed the apartment yet. Once she left, he discussed money that was owed at move in that was different then what I was told. I had emailed the manager x2 My secure email from my job and then from my personal email my husband's personal information so that would go ahead and run his back ground at the attention to the Manger or assistant manager on Thursday, 9/27/18 morning to have them to add my husband as an occupant because they do not have the ability to do son on line and the lease on the computer is not designed to edit and make modification. I asked the managers to call me if needed. The online process of the application did not flow in order to complete the application in full it came in parts on different days. The apartment agent had given me a form to fill out and told me, once I payed the $40 application fee made out to Cirrus Management Inc then your husband will be officially added at that time. (I guess the managers had ran his background already when I emailed them his identification information on Thursday, 9/27/18. My husband and I left to go to the bank to get the $40 money order. When we came back, he was assisting female customer that was interested in the apartment complex for 30 min or more until she left. I had asked for another copy of the form he had given me to fill out to add my husband to the lease as an occupant so that I could complete it. The other form was damaged. The leasing agent on 9/29/18, looked for the form online and in the Drawer but could not find an extra copy, so he called either the Manager or Assistant Manager so that they could tell him where the other application form were. In the meantime, 4-5 other people came into the office that he was assisting. He did not get back to us until they had been assisted. In the meantime, a young man had arrived and it was found out that he was called to fix the floor of Apt. 1007. My husband and I still had not seen the apartment yet. We had just driven 17 hours making it to Irving, Tx at 9:30 pm on Friday night, 9/28/18 from St. Charles MO and very tired we could not officially view the Apartment unit yet. The leasing agent begin to tell me that the young man was here to fix the floor in your apartment and asking me could I take him to the unit so he can get in to do the apartment. I shook my head because I did not understand why the flooring was not completed before move in day. My husband had just walked into the Apartment and saw big holes in the floor on the 1st floor. He begin to look around with me and we saw a lot of really terrible sights. Not only were there holes in the flooring of the 1st floor but the carpet in the upstairs bed rooms was not completed secured. The flooring upstairs in both bedrooms was very uneven and unleveled. The nob of the faucet on the left side of the bath tub was missing, there was a large grey rust or paint on the bottom of the bathroom upstairs between the bedrooms. Both bedroom bars for your clothes were bent up and uneven, the 1st bedroom had a medium size plaster cabinet about 3-4 feet above the carpet in a single spacing that was very unleveled and noticeable, the closet in the 2nd bedroom where there was suppose to be for a stackable W/D unit was so small that even a small stackable W/D unit could not fit. My son was told that stackable W/D units came with the apartment but there was none in this apartment. Honestly, it did not look like anything could fit in that small area. There was paint all over the 1st bedroom windows on both sides, The fixtures of the bath tub and sink in the kitchen was old and rusty (The sprayer), All of the cabinets in the kitchen was painted black unprofessionally and not completed on the upper and lower cabinets and much more. IN THE END, I WAS TOLD BY THE LEASING AGENT IF I DONT MOVE IN I WILL BE IN BREACH AND HAVE TO PAY $850 TERMINATION FEE AND A PORTION OF THE REST OF THE 8 MONTHS ON THE LEASE AND IT WILL GO ON YOUR CREDIT, AND IF YOU GO TO COURT YOU WILL NOT WIN BECAUSE YOU ALREADY SIGNED THE LEASE. I TOLD HIM BUT I WAS LIVING IN ANOTHER STATE AND I BELIEVED THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE WAS A DIRECT REPLICATIONS OF ALL THE APARTMENTS BUT THEY ARE TRULY NOT. IN ADDITION, I TOLD HIM BUT YOUR APARTMENT COMPLEX HAS ALREADY BROKEN THE LEASE CONTRACT BEAUSE THE APT IS NOT MOVE IN READY. YOU HAVE A GUY IN THE SAME APARTMENT YOU LEASED TO ME REPAIRING THE HOLES THROUGHOUT THE 1ST FLOOR IN ADDITION TO ALL THE OTHER TERRIBLE COSMETIC AND STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS OF THIS APARTMENT. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I SERIOUSLY DOUBT YOU WILL MOVE IN AND PAY A $1035 DOLLARS MONTHLY. THE APARTMENT AGENT TOLD MY SON WHO ORIGINALLY SEEN THE MODEL WITH THE APARTMENT MANAGER, AND I THAT CAME TO HELP REASON WITH THE LEASE AGENT TO GIVE ME A FULL REFUND BECAUSE THE APARTMENT IS NOT MOVE IN READY. DISRESPECTAVILY, THE LEASING AGENT INFORMED US WE HAD TO LEAVE BECAUSE IT WAS 5:00 PM AND HE HAD TO LOCKED THE LEASING OFFICE, BUT HE HAD TWO OTHER PEOPLE LEFT WITH HIM IN THE OFFICE. THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH COURTYARDS OF ROSES AFTER TRAVELING 700 MILES OUT STATE AND IT WAS TERRIBLY FRIGHTNNG AND I JUST MOVED HERE.
