I signed up in mid November and had my first transaction go through without a problem... but for over three weeks now I cannot get a transaction executed. At first it was a "High Risk" orders issue. - Oddly enough, they took the money from my checking account after cancelling my "High Risk" orders (they must have been a little short over there and needed me to float them a loan). I contacted them but never received a response. About a week later they redeposited the money into my checking account.
So after all that cleared up, I decided to try again... After waiting for 4 days for the order to execute, and then... IT WAS CANCELLED WITHOUT EXPLANATION! -WTF?
So, I have contacted them, again, to try to find out what the problem is but I don't expect to hear back. I now have the joy of waiting to see if they take the money out of my checking account, again!
All in all, it has been nearly a month since I created my account and I have had one small order execute and seven cancelled.
This platform is a scam. They incorporate hidden fees in all conversions, they have the worst customer service in the world, they do not take ownership of any of the playforms bugs nor the wallet they also run. When sending funds to the wallet, you have to convert the funds to usdc but once the funds are on the wallet, you have to convert the funds or buy ETH just to be able to send the money or convert to a different crypto...wtf id the purpose of converting to USDC to begin with? MORE FEES! Customer service just dodges questions and says they understand your frustation but does nothing about it. Avoid at all costs!
So I change my phone and try to sign into Coinbase only to find you have to jump through circus rings to get access to your account, because the sign-in re-verifies you after a month of not logging in; and if you don't have the phone number you used to enroll with you have to send a snapshot of your drivers license and a selfy, to say the least it's uncomfortable. Then when I finally get access to the account, 2 DAYS later, I go ahead and send some Bitcoin to an address; well, the address timed out and I had to endure a nerve wracking 2 days before it hit my wallet again. I would never do business with this company again.
I purchased $50 in bit coin and then my account was hacked. I notified coinbase immediately and followed all of the instructions that they sent me to do, including changing my password. I notified them that everything was completed. I can not get into my account it is temporarily blocked. I have asked them to permanently cancel my account and to return any funds left in my account. That was over 2 months ago. They had initially stated that it takes 4 to 7 days to handle. I have written multiple emails to them about closing this account and no one is writing me back. Two months is way over 4 to 7 days. My last email from them stated that they were handing the case over to a specialist which is the same thing that I was told in April. Still no one has been in contact with me. They will take your money willingly, but won't give it back. I think they are just hoping that my account goes down to $0.00. Of course I can't check it since it is still temporarily closed. If you are smart stay away from them.
I had two-factor authentication setup on my account yet Coinbase allowed a hacker to access my account and change my password without sending me a verification text. My Coinbase account and bank account were drained and Coinbase refuses to do anything about it. Also no phone number to call for customer service, when you have an issue you will need to send an email to which you will receive a generic, automated response. HORRIBLE COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
First, as an actually functioning site I would like to say I greatly enjoy Coinbase, its quite easy to use and I was doing quite well.
Until for whatever ungodly reason it decided I needed two-step verification. Of course SMS is the only way besides sketchy app $#*! (like seriously, why can't I opt for email verification?!?!). So I can't get into my account because my phone isn't getting the SMS codes.
So I read the FAQ and try everything it tells me, and still nothing. So I contact customer support and they just pretty much copy & paste the FAQ.
Mother f***ers I read the FAQ before resorting to contacting you.
They then give me a work-around which isn't actually a work-around because 1) I don't have another phone number and 2) no guarantee that phone will work anyways.
So I have been waiting for well over two weeks for customer service to get back to me with even an acknowledgement of some kind of solution.
Great site but what's the point if you can't access it and customer service is zero help?
I applied to get a coinbase card. After just a week I received an email saying it was shipped. One week later I received another email saying it had arrived. I did not receive it. I then followed prompts on "customer support ", which is nothing more than a robot giving you generalized answers. Finally I had to report as lost or stolen, and they would send me a new one. Fast forward a month later. I received an email once again telling me my card has arrived. Wrong again, actually found a phone number this time. It was about as helpful as the robot. The "support" person told me that it is probably my post offices fault. So I asked why she thought that my post office was in on a conspiracy to keep me from receiving this card, because they deliver all my other mail. What are the odds of them keeping this particular card twice. She said it has to be my post office. I am about done with coinbase period. This is not even a huge deal because card has never been activated. But how helpful are they going to be when something is really wrong with my account.
They duplicated the withdrawal from my bank into Coinbase, and the second withdrawal did not even sure up in the Coinbase transaction detail on my account, even thought the total cash there was the sum of the two transactions that appeared in my bank statement. I asked support to explain that, and they regurgitated what they saw on my account (which I had sent them as a screenshot.) That is, they described what I was already seeing. I wrote back, indicating they had not explained why the duplication occurred and why it did not appear in their transaction detail. They simply repeated the same thing they'd already said - just indicating what to look for the total, etc. I tried a total of 4 times to get a real answer, and finally they stopped responding. 5 days later I got an email that my support ticket had been resolved and the case closed. Customer support is non-existent!
I should add that I had deleted my linked bank account after I first noticed the problem - in case their system attempted to perform another random ACH against my bank.
Awful, terrible, their chat support is off the scale in a very negative way. Twice, the support person just disconnected me. Wish I had read these complaints first. Still haven't recieved my sign-up bonus which is worded VERY poorly and designed that way to intentionally decieve. The fees to trade on Coinbase are EXCESSIVE compared to trading stocks and will detract people from using them. Sorry to say, but Coinbase is a total SCAM.I can see why there are so many user complaints. TOTAL RIPOFF!
My account was hacked. Bad customer device.
They didn't get back at first, then after many trials they said there is nothing they can do as they are not responsible!
I used the vault feature for added security and it requires two email approvals prior to withdrawing it from the vault. The primary email account worked just fine; however, the secondary email verification loops you back to the coinbase site without executing the approval. I cancelled and attempted it again and it still did not work. So I have a large amount of crypto that I cannot get access too. Totally inept customer service; STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCHANGE!
They answers only accordingly scripts, quarreled with the client service because of freezing my account for verification and make it really slow, for 3 months already but the KYC department responds only once a week, I'm provide a lot of evidence of the origin of money, but judging by the answers, they decided to teach. This is my first time at this kind of sytuations, I payed all my taxes and I now have to explain some offended girl that I'm not a scammer...
I do not recommend anyone open a Coinbase account. I wish I had checked the reviews before it did!
I opened an account with Coinbase because I wanted to be able to make purchases with bitcoin. There were specific products that I wanted to purchase that are legal in my state, but not federally legal (marijuana seeds) and although the reputable sites I was trying to purchase the seeds from said they accepted credit cards, the banks that issued the cards declined the transactions and would not change that even after I contacted them in an attempt to authorize the transactions. So I opened a Coinbase account and purchased bitcoin and paid with PayPal. The money was removed from my bank account over a week ago and every day I've tried to send bitcoin to the seed companies, but Coinbase keeps giving me the error message that I can't send any money because the money has not been transferred into my account yet-- even though Pay Pal sent them the money over a week ago.
Also, the value of bitcoin has dropped over 10% in the past week, so not only can I not make the purchases that were the sole purpose of my opening a Coinbase account, the value of the original $200 I had sent Coinbase to fund my account is now less than $180.
I've tried contacting their customer service to see why I can't use my bitcoin yet, but their responses have been useless gibberish that have nothing to do with the question I asked.\
Do not open a Coinbase account. You will be sorry you did!
Moving my crypto to Coinbase must be the biggest mistake of my life or a close second to something else I already forgot about and thus can't be that bad as this total disaster of a crypto asset nightmare, in every way possible they make you go around in circles to avoid having to release your funds including blocking access for no reason whatsoever but with the excuse that there has been some kind of security breach. My crypto assets have been inaccessible from the getgo and I got to hear from one of their professional scammers on the "help" desk they hired to do the dirty work named Abhisit that I can't move any of my crypto nor transfer it to my bank account until December 15,2023. It's 3 months from now. 2 factor authentication is another horrible nightmare designed to make you give up and keep your crypto at Coinbase for another week or longer since the code hardly ever arrives in your mailbox and if it does and you apply it, you still get the "Oops" message that "it looks as if it was an automated attempt", meaning you've got to start all over again and keep going further down Coinbase rabbit
WANT MY MONEY BACK!
LOST CLOSE TO $1,000.00 WITH COINBASE.! DON'T EVER USE THEM. IF YOU KNOW HOW I CAN GET IT BACK PLEASE EMAIL ME AT *******@AOL.COM DID TRANSACTION ON 08/21/2017 THANKS AND HELP ME
Falling just short of being an outright scam, this service will take your money and 'lose' it. There are no avenues to recover lost funds and customer service is non-existent.
Expect hidden fees, unreliable transactions and general ineptitude. My money was lost during a simple deposit of crypto, would never reccomend using coinbase's exchange, wallet or even their news app as all are unreliable and seem to be set up to cycle through new customers and steal their crypto through "errors".
Don't be surprised if you use coinbase to transfer crypto and it simply disappears. Coinbase site showed no transaction history and changed the addresses of all of my wallets. After providing evidemce of this via email, the blamed me for the "mistake" and said it was "irreversible" despite me having proof that the funds were in a coinbase owned wallet.
"Never attribute malice to what can be explained by stupidity" is the only reason I won't declare this an outright scam.
Beware positive reviews as coinbase is known to pay reviewers and bribe customers with false promises of crypto rewards for positive ratings.
They don't accept Bep, so many people lose what adds to millions. They can't take the blame and tell you it's some other company. Hundreds of us have a discord to vent against coinbase…
Have you gotten your bitcoins stolen from your wallet or invested in an ICO that turned out to be a scam, you are not alone because this happened to me too. I initially lost $544,000 in just three months from Cryptoallday and a couple of others. I contacted the authorities and they referred me to 'recoveryknight. Com' who helped me recover all my funds within 2 days. I'm speaking up to improve awareness of these cryptocurrency thieves and help as much as i can to reduce victims to the bearest minimum. You can also contact them through SKYPE live:. Cid. 821bb*******f*******
I could deposit easy enough but so far unable to withdraw funds. Impossible to get any help from the company. Say away, check out their rating on the BBB site.
Dont make the same mistake I did, do not use these low lives, they are a scam just like mtgox was. Stay away and just buy your coins locally and keep them in your paper wallet.
Answer: You can get your crypto back from coinbase if you having problem accessing your account A military friend that introduced me to the dark web as my best bet at finding agencies [Kryptorecovery gmail com] whose sole purpose was to recover stolen financial assets from scammers I sought the services of Kryptorecovery PHOENIX SOULS Search on search engines like BING, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo In 48 hours I had my initial investment and generated profits all together in my wallet.
Answer: The thing is people generally only write a review if they got cheated. And thus from all the reviews (not just this site) you can tell that they screwed over a lot of people (including me). Let's say that 95% of people have a good experience with the site, what about the remaining 5%. If a company is not loyal to all its customers then that company should not exist, especially a company dealing with money. My advice is, stay away from them. Use localbitcoins to trade and bitgo to store, way better and more secure.
Answer: That's how mine take long and they scam me but with the help of assets revivelive they help me recover my money They trustworthy, contact them they will help you
Answer: It will take them forever because there are inefficient unorganized and lousy company... you are one of us who trusted this lousy company. You should tell everyone to stay away from this lousy company
