The website is terrible, when you want to cancel your account they ask you to fill in a form where you have to put the url of your profile which is nowhere to be found. A total scam.
Been using the site for quite a while! Super great to see the team committed to improving service always. I like how the team always respond to any queries!
I have been on CoFounderLab for over a year now and it definitely had some buggy issues, but it seems they have new owners with anew vision. The site has been updated but still has room for improvement. I found my cofounder and also 2 other team members on there so my experience has been good. I agree that they need to change the filter for searching on the free part
Dead company, takes card details for trial but offers no way to cancel and doesn't respond to emails. Really evil old school scam type company.
Used it for a while with no results people are inactive, the app lags it feels abandoned. The free functions after limited as mentioned in other reviews
Lets you create a profile, wastes your time, and then blocks you for 20 days until you pay.
TOP TIP- CREATE A PROFILE, THEN SEARCH AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND FIND THE PEOPLE YOU WANT TO CONNECT WITH DIRECTLY ON LINKEDIN then abandon cofounders lab. Total waste / scam.
The reason you go on the website is to find a cofounder right? Well since the find a cofounder feature is terrible, there is almost no point. It is difficult to quickly browse cofounders as their profiles do not have important information at a glance. You must open the profile in a new tab to see anything useful. 90% of the profiles are inactive, and there is no way to sort by active profiles.
Claims to be free, lets you build your profile, then blocks access for 14 days unless you upgrade. Terrible Business Model. Please GDIAF. Waste of time.
I had a deeply disappointing experience with CoFoundersLab, and I feel compelled to share my story to prevent others from falling victim to their deceitful practices. Recently, I was charged an exorbitant $120 by CoFoundersLab for a service that was never delivered to me. What's even more disheartening is that my attempts to obtain a refund proved futile.
It is important to emphasize that CoFoundersLab failed to provide the promised service. Despite paying a substantial amount, I received nothing in return. This not only demonstrates their lack of integrity but also highlights their disregard for their customers' hard-earned money.
Furthermore, the inability to secure a refund was an incredibly frustrating experience. I reached out to their customer support team multiple times, explaining the situation and requesting a reimbursement. However, my concerns were met with indifference and an unwillingness to assist. Their unresponsiveness only added insult to injury and confirmed my suspicions that CoFoundersLab prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction.
I implore anyone considering using CoFoundersLab's services to exercise extreme caution. My personal encounter with them serves as a cautionary tale, warning others to steer clear of their deceptive tactics. It is crucial to thoroughly research and read reviews from multiple sources before engaging with any company, especially one as untrustworthy as CoFoundersLab.
In conclusion, CoFoundersLab's charging of $120 for an undelivered service, coupled with their refusal to provide a refund, showcases their fraudulent practices. I sincerely hope that my review serves as a deterrent, protecting others from falling victim to their scam. Stay vigilant and choose reputable alternatives to avoid the distress and financial loss I experienced with CoFoundersLab.
I want to cancel the premium membership but I cannot login the website. It keep saying logged in successfully but nothing happened. I want a refund.
I'm a Pro member and have been very disappointed with the pool of technical co-founders along with the lackluster level of customer care. There is no hard-line vetting to filter out the "technical co-founders" who are actually just SOLICITING for your business.
EVERY single one I've talked to want to join my startup for a fee and equity, and they have a team of engineers, which after some digging, you realize it's a tech development firm! I already have an outsourced tech team for Phase One, that's why I'm on CoFoundersLab now: to find persons, unaffiliated to any tech service company, to co-found this startup for further development.
I brought this issue up with customer care, but the rep tells me to just mark the ones I talked to as "SPAM", they're aware of this pervasive issue, and they'll take action to remove or suspend the marked members.
Heck no, am I going to brand someone with whom I spoke for 30 minutes as "SPAM". That is tactless and dangerous to me. Sure, these "co-founder"s are mostly gimmick and falsehood, but I talked to them as people, vis-à-vis.
It would be too obvious (after we've exchanged emails and phone numbers) to them who is responsible for getting their account closed or suspended. Talk about subjecting me to potential stalker and trolling crazies. Not cool.
The search and user interface will drive you crazy, you can not find anyone there because of how poorly it is designed.
Maybe there are good people in the CoFoundersLab pool, but I signed up and the next day received a long detailed letter from a woman claiming to be in California. She appeared to be from the middle east, and there was some slight broken English in the letter. She told me a long story about a money making scheme in Iraq. My BROWSER settings were changed and my computer took on a life of it's own! VERY AGGRESSIVE VIRUS DEPLOYMENT ON MY COMPUTER!
I DO in fact know how to clean my computer even with an aggressive attack like this because I have a LOT of helpdesk analyst experience, but this would have freaked out a lot of people for very good reason. And it came from simply opening the email. It took me an hour total find and delete unauthorized software and browser plugins they installed on my computer and fully rid myself of the compromise to my computer and private files, email, etc.
This will my first and only experience with CoFoundersLab. I was so hopeful in the beginning but something like this happening within 24 hours of a membership in a legitimate online community is unheard of. Never happened to me in 25+ years.
This is what you'd expect from a hack site, or a gambling website, or an illegal site selling knockoff pirated products from a third-rate wanna be online business. Very scary. I won't be back.
You can submit your profile and they will be in contact with you for building your good team.

Impossible to cancel account. All the connection requests come from bots. Clearly a thinly veiled hook enticing well-meaning entrepreneurs to subscribe and pay for a fake service that creates no value.
Answer: It depends on which side of the search you are on: are you a non-technical founder looking for a technical co-founder, or vice versa? If you're a technical founder looking for the non-technical co-founder, then I strongly encourage you to join because the ratio tilts in your favor. My biggest issue was the fact that these so-called "technical co-founders" were, in fact, solo-preneurs with their own Inc. or LLC and they're there mostly to solicit for (your) business. I would avoid any"technical co-founder" who, at any point, mentions: "Well, I have a team..." or "I've worked with startups/businesses/projects like yours..." If I were to compare it to a dating site, which CoFounders Lab compares itself to (just for startups, though), in my experience, the pool of technical co-founders was full only of the hit-it-and-quit-it types. I hope this helps!
