We've worked with Terry Blondin and his team twice over the span of 6 years (5 second story windows and a bay window/ front door on the main floor). We were extremely impressed with the product quality, the professionalism of the installation teams, and Terry's commitment to ensuring that we were happy with the results. Terry is personable and professional, and makes himself available for troubleshooting and questions. We would recommend this company to anyone looking for great quality and service.
I have been dealing with Tom Hartley for a little while now and cannot stress out fantastic he is to deal with. In our industry which is restoration it is very important to have good communication with the people we rely on to do work for us and dealing with Clera and Tom in particular has been a very positive experience. He is very attentive, addresses all questions and concerns, does things when he says he will, always keep you in the loop and returns all calls and or emails. Highly recommend them based on the fantastic experience we have had with this company.
Great company to use. I've used them twice now; one for my patio door installation and the second for replacing windows in my house. The salesperson was kind and easy to contact and the installers were respectful and did a great job. We're very happy with the results and would recommend Clera to anyone who wants windows and doors replaced.
We reached out to Terry at Clera for an estimate on March 6 this year and we had a signed contract by March 11. The official measurements were taken only days later and the windows were ready and installed within the time frame that we had discussed. The whole process was very smooth and very affordable compared to some other quotes we received. We were very happy with the end result. Installers were fast and professional and we really appreciated that they took care to put drop cloths, clean up, and clean the windows when they were done. We had done some windows and doors with another company the year before it wasn't nearly as smooth (wrong windows ordered, constant delays with no communication, spray foam seeping from joints after install, etc.) so we were really pleased in comparison.
Being a Landlord for over 15 years I've purchased many windows on my income properties. Clera Windows or FM Windows as they were known when I first dealt with them are the best Windows I've ever purchased. Easy to clean and handle in opening & closing...

I had 4 windows replaced. They were ordered in the fall and work was completed by February. They look fantastic. The work was completed in one day. No problems with operating or drafts.
Thank you! Price was excellent. Dave and his colleague were professional and cleaned up the work area when they were done
Cynthia (Owen Sound)
What a great experience! We had 4 windows installed in one day. The windows and the install work look very good. Our sales and install were based out of Barrie. We will be keeping them in mind for any future window replacements.
Very impressed with the sales and installation staff. Work was done in a timely fashion and installers left the job site clean and tidy. Our sales rep was clear, thorough and took the time to answer my questions. We had a problem with one pane of glass and that was addressed promptly and without hassle. Would highly recommend Clera.
Good until there is a warranty issue, then they don't stand behind their product. I have a bad draft from one window and mold growing inside. The salesman John says he does not know what is causing the problem but of course its not the window and no warranty. NOT SURPRISED. He then said if I didn't like his answer he could send someone else who will charge me $155.00 an hour to inspect it, HUH? Clera claims their employee "thoroughly" checked the window, but funny enough didnt even notice the window crank arm is broken... Update, they offered me a 10% discount on new windows ( windows that probably are marked up by at least 100%) They also asked me to take down this review! I replaced the window (not Clera's) and problem solved!
Have heard a lot of concerns from friends and family members along with neighbors about clera's "warranty" so i would suggest doing some research before you buy. Also other sites like homestars appear to only print glowing perfect reviews, so take them with a giant grain of salt. ( hope Clera is paying them well) Seems Clera always trys and say poor reviews must be fake and they can never seem to find the names of poor reviews in their "data base"
Dear Jimmy, We are glad that all your family, friends and neighbor used Clera windows for their project. They must have done some good research and got few quotes before making decision. You definitely don't own our product and that is why rather than calling us at head office trying to show your concerns here (not sure if you get paid to do this). Homestars actually have lots of verification points before people post their reviews whether it is good or bad. Customers have to show proof of purchase to Homestars if their verification team suspects a fake review. On this platform, we can bet that more than half reviews are fake and they are not from our customers but we have no say. If you have real concern regarding our products, please contact us at 9057381870. Thanks - Clera Admin
Clera was quick to respond with a free quote. We were given an honest assessment of what needed to be done and what could wait. They arrived as scheduled, were professional, friendly and completed the work quickly. The windows are great, we are very happy with our experience and would use Clera again in the future.
I was told by the sales team I was dealing with back at the end of August 2020 that my project of a bay window along with a couple smaller windows, would take up to 12 weeks to be ready for the install. Today being February 25th 2021 which makes it 26 weeks now, still nothing, not even a phone call or an email to reassure that they are working on getting the ball rolling on my project.
Unfortunately this company is a common in today's world of business... full of promises and guarantees and nothing but lies and obviously taking on more than this company can handle.
Look elsewhere...
We ordered our windows and patio door in July. Told they would be here in October. Nobody followed up I had to keep contacting them to see what was happening.
All we got were excuses (COVID of course - how easy to make that excuse). In fact the patio door makers were on strike for 7 weeks but we were not given the option to change our request to another company.
A Canadian company but everything made in the US (we would not have dealt with them if we had known).
Now it is December 1st and still nothing but promises. They have our money but nothing coming to us except a useless paper warranty on non-existent windows.
Stay away, I wish we had.
We had a very positive experience dealing with clera windows from start to finish. The installer was for sure an expert and finished the work in good time without any upset to us.
I would have no problem recomending Clera to anyone
I noticed that Raj responded to my review. Notice that all the blame is someone else's. I am still waiting for his phone call to explain it all to me. Raj - spend less time on this site and give me a call. I'd love to hear from you in response to the 20 or so messages I left.
Dear Josh,
We are glad that you spoke to our management team and they listened to all you concerns. We wish you good luck and if you have any issues in future, please reach out to our management team. Thanks - Clera admin
I ordered windows that took almost 250 days to be installed. Despite breaking the contract timelines, I got nothing from the company. A couple months after the install, a pane cracked. Here's how things went down between me and the salesman and the people at the main office:
- I sent a picture of the window on March 19, to which you replied that you would order a new one
- Salesman did not respond to my April 22 email asking for an update
- Salesman did not respond to my May 22 email asking for an update
- Salesman called on May 23 in response to numerous messages at the main office (which still remain unanswered) and promised to call on May 27 with an update
- Salesman did not call on May 27th.
- In response to me emailing, the salesman called on May 29 and assured me that the window was ordered and it would still be 3 weeks.
- I left many messages with Ryan and Raj at the main office which remain unanswered.
- Salesman stopped by the house to ensure that you had ordered the right pane of glass on May 29 (and not to order it for the first time)
- Salesman assured me the date of the install will be no later than June 19
- June 19 passed and no one contacted me, the window is still broken
- Called Ryan at customer service but I can't leave a message there because the mailbox is full (June 20)
- Called Raj (VP Sales and Marketing) from head office again. Left a message June 20 - not returned
- Sent an email to salesman June 20 asking for the new ETA.
- Salesman replied that June 28 was the date - I said I was away so the new plan was July 2-4. We agreed by email June 24 that June 24 was the install date.
- June 24 passed, the window is still broken
- I let the salesman know that I would be away for vacation for particular weeks in the summer. I let the salesman know when I would be home. That message did not get passed to your installer and he came while I was away and couldn't install. (poor communication to the installer) The window is not fixed.
- I texted the salesman July 29 to lethim know when I would be away in August with the hope that he could work around that or get the window installed before I left. He assured me that would happen.
- August was coming to a close and the window was still broken
- August 29 left a message with customer service. Still unanswered.
- September 15 ran into the installer in town, asked him about it.
- September 16 the window is fixed! 181 Days!
Folks, the office never returns calls. Before purchasing, leave a message with the service department and see if they ever get back to you. That is a sure sign about the calibre of this company.
I will never use these people again and I very much regret using them in the first place.
Our front door was looking a little worse for wear after 30 years and the brutal winter, so we decided it was time for a fresh look. A quick search online led us to Clera, and we were so impressed with their sales staff and huge selection! They answer all of our silly questions and ensured we were completely happy with the door before it was installed. Installation was scheduled to a time that suited us and the team arrived on time. They were extremely professional and courteous, and left the place spotless. We love the new look of our front door and can't wait to spend many more years with it! Definitely recommend!
We have had almost all our windows replaced by Clera over the past years. The first set were different then the next set we ordered (next were less quality especially the night locks) but were to be of the same standard. Earlier this year, one of our older ones (5 yrs) broke. You couldn't open it without it shifting and being difficult to close (note, this window was rarely used). We called Clera and it took several months for someone to come out to look. They left with no promise of when it would be fixed. Now 2 months later after we called someone is finally coming. However, we were just informed that WE will be responsible for labor cost@ 75/hr for first hour and 50 after that! Watch out for the LIFETIME WARRANTY. No sales person will tell you that it's only parts. Now we're responsible for a cost when it was a defect in their window. Will never recommend or purchase from Clera again.
We needed to replaced 2 windows. Of the companies that responded to our request for a quote, Terry from Clera was by far the best. He spent time with me on the phone explaining options, process etc. and then came to measure etc. for the quote. He took the time to measure inside and out (others didn't) and I felt completely informed on what we needed and the timing. When the quote arrived, it was lower than the competition.
The windows were recently installed by the Clera team and they were all incredibly professional, quick and efficient.
We will definitely be using Clera again as we continue to replace windows in our home.
Eric DeBono from Clera Windows & Doors installed our front door and 7 windows just recently in Woodstock, he was the sales rep and window installer, a rare combination. Eric DeBono was very professional, polite, and did a phenomenal job. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, out of all the trades that had come through our home he was the only one to clean up after himself! We would recommend him to anyone looking for new windows or doors.
They replaced and installed 4 windows for us. Once we were able to arrange an installation date, I was amazed at how quickly they installed the windows. There was really no prep work for me, they worked around beds and dressers and kept the existing framing in place - in and out in a few hours. This was a great experience, highly recommended.

Dear Matthew Gabriel, Thank you for your feedback. We have investigated and find out that window in question was installed in 2005 at 15 Heathfield Cres in Waterdown. Our local branch visited you where you asked for the price of two more windows and complained about the draft and mold on the window. He checked thoroughly and suggested that he can't find anything but if you like, he can arrange for a technician to come and it would cost you $55.00 in labour charges as all the parts are free of cost and our customers never have to pay for the parts as per our lifetime warranty. Our customer service dept contacted you and offered discount on two new windows and free inspection on the window in question but you refused. We believe we have done everything right from our side and wish you good luck. If you have any other concern, please call us at 905-738-870. Thank - Clera Admin
