Love Clark Howard! If only the rest of America would listen to him! The best advice I've gotten from his show is the Credit Freeze. For 30 bucks you greatly decrease your chances of Identity Theft. Extra bonus: The credit card companies stop sending pre-approved offer junk mail to you! :)
I just got off the phone with "team clark". Asked about EconomyBookings.com, which has advertising splashed all over the website.
The answer was, "ignore the advertising, we don't vouch for their credibility". WTF?! Clark is a millionaire-why accept one dollar from any company that you don't recommend?
Every article and product or business that CH has talked about and/or reviewed, has been super helpful & honest & very much appreciated! He truly is an awesome Consumer Advocate, and it is clear he truly cares about the "average joe" out there, and is looking out for them!
I wish my hubby were CH! Haha... we sure would've saved a lot of $$ from being "ripped off" over the years.
You have to love Clark Howard. His website is no different. Clark's the stingiest person in the world and he, FREE OF CHARGE, provides you with all the necessary information to become his equal.
Watching his television show and subsequently becoming addicted to his website, I have found a new passion for saving money. Clark also provides scam and ripoff alerts. I learned how to get my FREE credit reports when it seemed impossible to do so.
Just a few topics he provides advice for is home buying, refinancing, taxes, car purchases, cell phone plans, technology alternatives, etc... He provides helpful information, reputable links, and information on how to get more for less out of practically anything.
He also provides clips from his TV and Radio shows with information about helpful services he mentions in his broadcasts.
I hope this helps.
I called about a slumlord who's operating an apartment complex that has code violations in Fannin County Georgia with the building inspector's knowledge. I was told to just move.
Online banks are spam and several volunteers are not helpful. They seem confused with basic information.
