I've used Check People several times to look up people before meeting them to interview them as new a possible new roommate. I use all social media sites too, but I feel like Check People give you more details than you can find all in one place and through a very fast search. Because I wanna filter through roommate applications, this helps me do a quick and very detailed check so I don't have to spend hours searching online first.

My husband and I used this site to check out his fathers very shady past. We were nervous at first, and during!, because our credit card company gave us an alert asking if it was us... meaning its a flagged site by credit card companies. When we finished looking through the information, I sat down with the phone and prepared myself to wait on hold for 7 hours and finally battle out a cancellation with someone in another country. I went into complete shock when a total sweetheart answered with her thick southern accent and quickly helped me cancel my account in less than 5 minutes. At this time I am not sure if my account was charged extra fees or not, but so far everything seems okay! I will update my review if my credit card ends up getting hacked/scammed!

I was told I accepted a charge of 6.99 to download unlimited reports. The only thing is, I read everything. There was no option to accept or decline this feature. I definitely didn't download any or even consider downloading an option. Buyer beware, they will take your money, thievery at its finest. For anyone willing to look, you will find some 5 star reviews are obviously repeated. Different names a few months later, same exact reviews and stories behind the positive remarks.

I fell out of touch w/ my family and sought my grandmother's address as she won't use a phone. The advertised.99¢ +. $5.99 service charge was fine and I paid. Next day my bank informed me check people had taken an additional $29.90 out of my account, almost overdrawing me. These liars are scum. Reporting them is useless. If you know their whereabouts achieve retribution if you can. Otherwise you're screwed.

Paid for a background check, price agreed to was 1$, they charged 30$ On top of that. I cancelled my subscription the same day, and received an email confirmation, but unfortunately I deleted it. When I called their customer service line to explain to them about my cancellation because I got another $30 charge and it hasn't even been 2 weeks from the first time, the guy did not want to hear me out he was too busy mansplaining to me. I once stated a background check, and they originally posted it as free then became 39.99 month every month. Hard to cancel,false and verbally abusive even to seniors. I get nasty incriminating pop-ups every day like he got arrested today,preditor type statements, these people are heartless to get business.I wont ever use their site.they wont stop.I will try to copy one of their pop ups

They charge you $30 and then won't refund you when their site won't work! What type of company won't at least partially refund a paying customer when their site doesn't work?! I was charged 3 times, as well. Was even the $6 charge refunded, as a courtesy, since their was even a $30 charge and a $4 charge, you might ask. Nope! But they sure did offer me a mighty fine "sorry, but it's non-refundable" about a dozen times. Isn't that worth the $40 that they got out of me? Survey says: no.

I was recently looking for someone close to me whom I lost touch with many years back. I came across Check People through a simple google search and had some questions about their services. I had to call the customer service line and was promptly greeted by a young friendly lady who took her time answering my questions and addressing my concerns. Although I was originally reluctant to sign up and try the site, I ended up giving it a go. It was very easy to use and I was able to find the individual I was looking for very fast. The site offered extra information which was all correct to my knowledge as well. Great results and great service!

I have a premium account, so I assume I'm getting a lot more features than the free service, but in my opinion, it's more than worth the money. If you need to use this service in your HR department, I encourage you to give it a shot and go for the premium account. You'll save a lot of time and effort and getting background checks for employees and potential job candidates. I think any HR representative would be more than pleased with the services they offer.

I had my doubts about the person I was dating, and wanted to be cautious before getting too involved.
