Booked a ticket for a friend who didn't have a credit card. Money was reserved (1400 USD) on my account. Tickets were not issued (the flight was the next day). They told me to call their customer service (based in the US, I live in Europe). After being on hold 30 minutes, nothing happened, called twice more, 1,5 hours on the phone. Finally managed to get the flight booked, but had to pay again! With extra cost. Thankfully I made a claim to my bank the next day, so I would get the first transaction back after a month (!), since CheapoAir was not cooperative in refunding me. Dozens of emails spent and time wasted. On top of it all I got a phonebill with 100 USD extra, since I had 'called' their customer service 3 times.
Never again. Ever.
Package confirmed and paid, but then (after making arrangements like airport pick-up, meetings, etc.) I get mail saying it is cancelled. I have now bought the same package - though added a day (so presume the aircraft I originally reserved was suddenly overbooked)... more expensive though.

NEVER AGAIN! Get tickets trying to save some money, was the worse experience, long trip i get it in advance 8 months, since i get my ticket every week i get emails that my fly change and if i dont accept it will cancel automaticaly my booking, the day before my trip i tried to do my check in and show like my booking does not existed! After accepting all when i contact company call them after 3 hrs on the phine they pick up and hang up, i went online and they said that we never accepted i show then email acepting and screan shot and the morning before the fly they fix it,i paid extra to choose set and we were all set separate, before paid i check and all my baggahes where include but today after my vacation is done, on my check in looks like i have to paid extra for my bags, long trip they want me to comeback with out bags?, of course is not the 1st time a travel i know of this works, try contact costumer services never pick up! Finally do it online and they just want to charge me extra. I ask for money of choosing set back since we were set separate and lady said that money is not refundable! DO NOT USE CHEAP O AIR, you think you are sabing money but you Dont and you will save a lot stress!
I tried booking rental car with them. I was told the shuttle will come pick me up at the airport and drop at the airport but the thing is not enough information, shuttle doesn't come pick up at regular shuttle, you gotta take train and go out somewhere and got to get out from airport and wait for shuttle, later went to the rental live support at mid night and got that information rental said they will not able to give me shuttle back to airport coz that might get late to the airport since I have 7 am flight. Lame excuse. Secondly purchase rental car insurance on the phone with the rep, at the pick up there no rental coverage. Later I came to know they lied me and the insurance that I purchased was a travel insurance. I never purchased the travel insurance with them on the phone. Be careful of these scammers and make 100% sure anything that you talk on the phone if possible record entire conversation for your safety. I always have problem with CheapOair. Left using them for long time and tried after 5 years they are same scammers still.

I paid almost $500 more not to have layover. Later on they said flight changed and made me wait for more than 12 hours with no accommodations but they have full of bullshit excuses. This is so lame. Don't book with them. This is my 3rd time having the same issue with chepaoair. Never had any problem with kayak or any other agents.

We show you booked this online and added the additional items like bags, seats,insurance none of this was done by Cheapoair. Also your credit card was declined and we have been trying to reach you for weeks now to discuss the refund but the card is not working. Please call our office.
I've been charged for services I didn't accepted
I booked 9 months in advance and I am not allowed to select my seats except on the USA American airline leg of the trip. I am not allowed preassigned seats on the British or Turkish flights unless I pay additional fees which is absurd.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
