Do not order from them. They apparently sell Halloween costumes but have not yet figured out how to get them to their customers prior to Halloween. Their customer service is an oxymoron. Clear your calendar if you plan on speaking with someone because it's going to take a while and the person on the other end of the phone has no idea how to help you.

Worst customer service. Ordered a costume and a week later it is still processing. Not only are their costumes overpriced but they take your money and you still do not get your purchased item.
I waited 45 minutes for a live person only to be told their system could not confirm if the costume is available for shipment. She could not even cancel my order because she was unsure if it was already shipped. When I asked why I did not get a call or an email to let me know of the situation. She stated, their system waits for the customer to call back to inform them that the item is no longer available.
What kind of service is this? Robbery!
We ordered a costume on October 13th. It arrived on October 23 but in the wrong color. We waited on hold for two hours! They assured us it would be delivered by Thursday, October 26. It's not here yet. We waited on hold for another two hours and after learning the call center was located in the Philippines, they hung up on us. They have great stuff but their customer service is absolutely the worst. Currently my daughter is crying herself to sleep because the costume she was telling her friends she would be wearing tomorrow isn't here. Never order from them again!
Horrible company. We received a gift that did not fit and I contacted customer service to find out if we could return it. They confirmed we could and that we would be issued a store credit to use. I mailed the item back and didnt hear back for 2+ weeks. When i contacted them they said- oh "oops we refunded the purchaser by mistake. Nothing we can do now" For the cost of their items their service stinks- how can you lie to someone like that? Stay away...
Like some of you, I ordered on October 15 for expected delivery by Oct. 31.
I sent two emails and called about my order.
I was number 54 in the queue, and decided I could not stay on the phone any longer.
So far, I have had no response. I have only received an email confirming the order, I have not heard from customer service, nor have I received a customer order number for the order placed.
If you have already placed an order with this company and have not received it,
Call your credit card company and have them stop payment. Then, contact Chasing Fireflies and tell them you wish to cancel your order.
As far as legal action, perhaps a class action suit could be pursued against chasing fireflies for false advertising and failure to deliver as promised among other complaints.
Justice had a class action suit for misleading advertising. I received a $30 coupon for that.
After reading some of the reviews posted, I am in shock! Over the past 6 years, I have purchased several items from Chasing-Fireflies (i. E. apparel, accessories and toys - when they used to carry toys/games). We bought all of our daughter's Halloween costumes, Easter dresses, as well as Christmas outfits from Chasing-Fireflies. In addition, we have been buying matching Halloween and Christmas family pajamas - not just for our immediate family, but also, our in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, too. For the hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars I spent with Chasing-Fireflies, I have had only "one" issue with them in regards to a misspelled name on a pair of personalized pajamas. However, Chasing-Fireflies took accountability for their mistake and sent a new pair of pajamas right away. I have never had any of the problems that others had stated in some of the reviews. Too bad for them. I love Chasing-Fireflies, and hope they will return.
The high end Girls clothing offered on this website are wonderful. My granddaughter has been dressed like a Princess for years! I have never ever had any kind of problem with this Company. I hope they continue to offer these gorgeous clothes for girls for years to come!
I have bought every Easter dress here for my granddaughter for years. Have many Halloween costumes and princess dresses. Have made the greatest memories. Bought beautiful little blue dress with white fur trim and white fur boots to see Santa at Macy's on 34rh Street in Manhattan. The dresses have all been perfect.
I order both my children's Halloween costumes from here. I read bad reviews and was very worried about what my experience might be! Both the costumes came a week before they said they would. The sizes are spot on (my sons is a little big, but had to order a size up because his size didn't come in the costume he wanted). They are well made and adorable. I can't wait for the kids to be able to show off their costumes!
We love chasing fireflies for my daughters- Beautiful dresses and costumes. Everything, however, is overpriced and considering their poor customers service it is not worth buying something expensive that may need to be returned. I only buy items on sale when there is a good promo code. This is a good way to stock up on holiday dresses, costumes, and unique gifts. This has served me well and I am popular at bday parties with personalized capes and pj's, etc.
I placed an order for my son's Halloween costume on October 5. I called on October 20 to inquire into the status. After waiting in a queue for 45 minutes, the rep told me she wasn't sure what the hold up was, I would get 10% off my order, the shipping charges would be waived and I would receive the costume by October 27. As of October 26, my online order has not changed to reflect any of the foregoing. I have been on hold waiting to speak to a rep for one hour and 16 minutes so far and am number 19 in the queue. At this point, I just want to cancel my order so I don't have to incur shipping charges to return the costume when it arrives after Halloween. I will never order from them again. HORRIBLE.
Do not purchase anything here! Everything is cute but you can find this stuff in other places. I ordered a communion dress in time for my daughter's communion to be delivered in 4 to 7 days - even got an order confirmation. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard anything yet they kept an authorization for the dollar amount against my bank funds so I assumed it would be ok. I finally called them to find out that the dress is not in stock and they couldn't be bothered to contact me. They offered to find me another dress for the same price.Gee thanks! I could get that anywhere. I can't believe that they wouldn't offer a discount or express delivery on a different dress. This is truly a horrible company.
Ordered a costume 9/11. Listed as in stock. Called 10/12, told it was backordered. They couldn't say when it would be shipped. Rep stated shipping would be expedited and hung up on me. Called again about 5 days later. No idea if or when it's coming. No offer to refund. No expedited shopping noted. And she hung up on me. Is there legal action I could take?
Ordered on 10/2 and received confirmation email. Called on 10/13 to check status as no updates had been received since then. Offshore customer rep was unapologetic and couldn't answer with certainty on order but "thought" it was being prepared for shipping. Sent an email requesting status four days ago and no response. Called tonight, 10/25 and waited 5 minutes to move from 103rd in the queue to 101st. Need to go find another outfit now. Have ordered many times before with no issue but the company was sold in late 2016 to a company that is apparently inept at running businesses.

Was in hold for 45 minutes on Oct 23rd for the rep to tell me she would escalate the process so it would be pulled and shipped immediately.
It's the 25th and there is still no shipping information available. Heading out tonight to try to find a last minute costume.
Worst company ever. Don't bother with this place unless you like being disappointed.
Poor customer service. Was told that Halloween costume was to ship after calling the customer service office when I hadn't received a confirmation e-mail. Called two days later and found that the product was no longer in stock and was cancelled. No e-mail from the company. The second customer service rep couldn't tell me why I had been told otherwise. Was still charged 2 day shipping rate.
Do not be tempted by the pretty pictures in their magazines - you will never see the product in real life! Ordered two different costumes in AUGUST to ensure they would arrive by Halloween - when the package arrived, they had two of the same item in the box. Contacted them to say the wrong item was delivered, it took them 3 days to reply and instead of immediately sending the correct item, I had to take MY time to MAIL them back the WRONG costume and include on the slip that it was wrong. Fast forward TWO FULL WEEKS since I mailed that item back -- they contact me to say the originally ordered item is now unavailable! Infuriating and extremely disappointed. Order at your own risk - they do not care about their customers. I will never order from them again and I am reporting this review to as many sites as possible.
I tried to give small business a shot and not buy at Amazon. But they lied, wasted HOURS AND HOURS of my time, and kept money that was promised to be refunded. NEVER again. THE WORST.
This site for kids unique high quality clothing has the most incredible Halloween costumes available for kids. Oh yes, the clothes, shoes and accessories are to die for as well. If you're looking for something extremely special, like a Communion dress or wedding flower girl/ring bearer clothing OR you're just an over indulging mom or gram like myself, this is where you need to shop. Prices are commenserate with the highest quality but they also always have great items on sale too. I will often grab a summer dress, size it up & purchase it in Fall or Winter when it's on sale. Everytime I've bit the bullet & payed full price for something my granddaughter must have, I'm never disappointed. Heirloom quality communion dresses. Bought one for my daughter yrs. Ago and it's SO special, my granddaughter is now wearing it after two great nieces wore it AND each time it was the dress everyone noticed, talked about & asked where it was purchased. If you're buying a gift & having it sent directly from there, the recipient will be impressed at how it arrives. Even their packaging is elegant. My granddaughter was caught wearing an outfit & shoes that Suri Cruise had on in a celebrity mag! We loved it. What a fun site & customer svc. Is top notch.
For years I have been ordering my daughter halloween costumes and every year we have some sort of an issue. Two years ago, the dress from the shoulder down came apart, the costume just split at the seems. Last year, the accessories broke, and the hem on the dress came out. Saturday night, getting my daughter ready for Trick or Treat, the zipper split. Every year I have to pin her costume together! Every year I never call, because I never have the time to wait to get to a customer service representative. By the way, the costumes that I purchased are not cheap, and they are not too tight on my daughter. They are just made like crap. Right now, after 36 minutes, I am still caller number 19 waiting to get through to a customer service representative. Well, while I wait, I might as well write a review... Yes, I did try contacting customer service via e-mail, and I NEVER get a response. Stay Away! Buy that Disney costume... They stay together for me! Oh... time check... 44 minutes and I am caller number 12! Do not put yourself through this!... I finally spoke to someone, it took over an hour. I am returning the item, and they are waiving the stocking fee, and letting me return the costume on October 31,2018. I had a very nice customer service rep., but still will not order from them next year!
Answer: I only had to call once several years ago to exchange for a different size. Had immediate exchange.
