I have bought every Easter dress here for my granddaughter for years. Have many Halloween costumes and princess dresses. Have made the greatest memories. Bought beautiful little blue dress with white fur trim and white fur boots to see Santa at Macy's on 34rh Street in Manhattan. The dresses have all been perfect.

I bought two very expensive dresses for Christmas for my little girls and paid $50 for next day shipping and they were never sent! No call, email, nothing. I called to find out what happened and when they would arrive and ended up asking for a supervisor as the first rep didn't even apologize. Supervisor said the order couldn't be verified so it was cancelled. I had a confirmation email, thank you for your purchase but it couldn't be verified? She didn't ever even ask if I still wanted the dresses. She talked over me and then hung up. STAY AWAY!

Wish I could leave zero stars. Terrible experience! Be very careful. Most of the costumes they are selling for $50-80 are from Rubie's. You can get them in Amazon for $20-25. The excellent quality they talk about on their website (and you pay for) is the same quality you could get at Target or Party City. The worst part is that the picture of the costume on their website doesn't match what you receive. Completely different costume. When I complained and sent them the pictures to easily proof that it was a different (and much cheaper looking) costume, all they replied was: It was on sale, it can't be returned. We are NEVER buying from them again, but I wish people were aware of this before spending their money.

I ordered three identical skirts in three sizes for my two granddaughters. When opening the package I immediately realized the smallest size would be too small. I kept the other two sizes and within 2 days I returned the one that wouldn't fit. I processed the return on line and it was approved. After mailing the small one back, it was returned to me saying it was not returned in new condition. That is simply fraud. Original tags and bag, with the item in perfect, new condition is the truth about the return!

After reading some of the reviews posted, I am in shock! Over the past 6 years, I have purchased several items from Chasing-Fireflies (i. E. apparel, accessories and toys - when they used to carry toys/games). We bought all of our daughter's Halloween costumes, Easter dresses, as well as Christmas outfits from Chasing-Fireflies. In addition, we have been buying matching Halloween and Christmas family pajamas - not just for our immediate family, but also, our in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, too. For the hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars I spent with Chasing-Fireflies, I have had only "one" issue with them in regards to a misspelled name on a pair of personalized pajamas. However, Chasing-Fireflies took accountability for their mistake and sent a new pair of pajamas right away. I have never had any of the problems that others had stated in some of the reviews. Too bad for them. I love Chasing-Fireflies, and hope they will return.

Placed my order on 10/14/19 which didn't ship until 10/18/19 and not getting delivered until 10/28/19. My daughter needed her costume for her school Halloween party.

The slowest and extremely poor customer service. I have never had to deal with such rudest customer service reps. Not a single one of them was even willing to hear out the issue I'm facing with my order and have nasty attitudes from the second they start talking. While I write this, I'm still on call waiting for someone to pop back on the line and throw me over to another department.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered a costume on 10-15 and entered into a agreement with a receipt of goods in 5-7 days. After nothing arrived at 8 days I spent over 2 hours on hold, to be lied to, hung up on, laughed at, and finally told that they had updated there website to reflect orders would take 3 additional days, this website modification being after my order and our agreement and coming at the cost of my toddler's ability to wear his costume for the town parade. Legally if you receive funds with a written agreement and unilaterally alter the agreement through an outside media source to which the other party doesn't agree you have to provide a reasonable remedy or refund, otherwise your committing fraud on top of just being an unethical company that should never receive another consumer dollar.

Their site is offering 50% off, but everything is Final Sale. Failed to mention they planned to wait to ship my items until too late for Halloween so I can't use them anyway and being told I can't return them. The first time I called they lied and told me my item had shipped and would be here in four days. 48 hours later it's actually being picked up for shipment on the slowest available speed and delivering in ten days.

Placed an order for 3 dresses and a Tootsie Roll costume on 10/15/2019, received it on 10/20/2019. I did have to size up since our sz was out, which is fine, will need to layer this year due to weather. Costume is amazing great quality, so are the dresses. I am definitely ordering more before the 50% off sale ends, and there is a banner up on the site saying items ordered after a certain date may not arrive before Halloween, so everyone needs to read.As for returns, never had to do one and I've ordered from there the past 3 years. Follow the sz chart and you should be good.

Ordered my costume on Oct. 17th and was emailed that with standard shipping it would take 4 to 7 business days. No problem - as long as it's here by Oct. 30th, my daughter can wear it to her classroom Halloween party. However, when I went to check on tracking status, they never even sent it until 2 days ago and now Fedex is stating that it won't arrive until the end of the day on Halloween. She WON'T get it in time for her class Halloween party. Was put on hold forever and received no support. This is criminal.

We love chasing fireflies for my daughters- Beautiful dresses and costumes. Everything, however, is overpriced and considering their poor customers service it is not worth buying something expensive that may need to be returned. I only buy items on sale when there is a good promo code. This is a good way to stock up on holiday dresses, costumes, and unique gifts. This has served me well and I am popular at bday parties with personalized capes and pj's, etc.

After placing an order and then immediately
Making several emails to the company to put a stop to my shipping, I couldn't call because it was a holiday. Needless to say they shipped my order several days after without confirming email. I have since spoken to the company 8 times and wrote 5 to 6 more emails and each time they said they'll get back to me and they have not. Extremely disappointed and would never buy from them again they have definitely lost a life long customer

They changed their Returns policy without telling customers and would not provide the pre-paid label that SHOULD HAVE been in my order. One rep told me it wasn't a problem to send me one, another rep told me she had NO IDEA what I was talking about and told me they couldn't accommodate their error. They seem like a great company, but it's all lip service. Don't buy from them. The custumes look cute, but they're crap materials. You even had to put together the petticoat! You have to insert all the wiring! RIDICULOUS.

What a total joke. Do you not order from them ever I ordered October 1 and received our Halloween costume for my daughter on November 1. She was so disappointed and they told me it's no exchanges no refunds deal with it. Worst customer service I've ever had in my life

Chasing fireflies is not the store it once was. I have NEVER had an experience like this with ANY OTHER store. They would not process my return after 14 days and made it impossible to contact them. They have NO contact phone number. They only provide an email and they only answer your email if they feel like it. If they don't like what you are writing they don't respond AT ALL. You, the customer will have ZERO way of contacting the company. I am out almost $300 and no one responds at all. There is NO place to write reviews on their website yet they have all glowing reviews. The reviews are written by Chasing Fireflies. They are fake. I will never ever purchase from this online store again and I have spoken to many friends who feel the same. The merchandise is overpriced, poor quality and you are stuck with whatever you buy. Good luck with contacting them with any issues. Shop elsewhere, they don't deserve your money and should be truly ashamed!

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with with regards to customer service. I ordered the Bumblebee Transformer costume over a months ago for my son and they cancelled the order just now stating they have none in stock. You waited a month to tell me this? Then I call into Customer Service and speak with Fay and she is rude and combative and offers me no solution other than a 20% off coupon but I used a 30% off coupon on my original order. Then she hangs up on me! I have been a routine customer for many years and I can assure you I will never order from chasing fireflies ever again!

Horrible company. We received a gift that did not fit and I contacted customer service to find out if we could return it. They confirmed we could and that we would be issued a store credit to use. I mailed the item back and didnt hear back for 2+ weeks. When i contacted them they said- oh "oops we refunded the purchaser by mistake. Nothing we can do now" For the cost of their items their service stinks- how can you lie to someone like that? Stay away...

I am always tempted to buy things here because they really have cute items BUT my past 4 purchases have been a nightmare- sizes are all over the place, I bought my daughter two pairs of shoes the same size and one pair is literally two inches shorter than the other. We bought cute costumes which were so complicated to get on and came with no instructions that we had to scramble to find a last minute - like 5pm on Halloween last minute- alternate costume. We also were sent and charged twice for a few items. All of these involved dealing. With a non-responsive, dismissive or just completely unhelpful and un apologetic customer service department. So despite the temptation of cute items, we are done and have taken our business elsewhere.

It's taken 4 months of back and forth with more than one rude customer service representative for them to tell me they don't give store credit to the recipient of a gift. Laurie, a supervisor, told me that they "probably" just put the money back in the card it was purchased on. Thanks for nothing! Now I have to tell the person who gave me the gift that I returned it to check and see if they refunded her! What kind of policy is that?!?!

Do not order from them. They apparently sell Halloween costumes but have not yet figured out how to get them to their customers prior to Halloween. Their customer service is an oxymoron. Clear your calendar if you plan on speaking with someone because it's going to take a while and the person on the other end of the phone has no idea how to help you.

I tried to give small business a shot and not buy at Amazon. But they lied, wasted HOURS AND HOURS of my time, and kept money that was promised to be refunded. NEVER again. THE WORST.

The high end Girls clothing offered on this website are wonderful. My granddaughter has been dressed like a Princess for years! I have never ever had any kind of problem with this Company. I hope they continue to offer these gorgeous clothes for girls for years to come!

Do not be tempted by the pretty pictures in their magazines - you will never see the product in real life! Ordered two different costumes in AUGUST to ensure they would arrive by Halloween - when the package arrived, they had two of the same item in the box. Contacted them to say the wrong item was delivered, it took them 3 days to reply and instead of immediately sending the correct item, I had to take MY time to MAIL them back the WRONG costume and include on the slip that it was wrong. Fast forward TWO FULL WEEKS since I mailed that item back -- they contact me to say the originally ordered item is now unavailable! Infuriating and extremely disappointed. Order at your own risk - they do not care about their customers. I will never order from them again and I am reporting this review to as many sites as possible.

Tip for consumers:
Do not shop at Chasing Fireflies.

I order both my children's Halloween costumes from here. I read bad reviews and was very worried about what my experience might be! Both the costumes came a week before they said they would. The sizes are spot on (my sons is a little big, but had to order a size up because his size didn't come in the costume he wanted). They are well made and adorable. I can't wait for the kids to be able to show off their costumes!
