The socks, leg warmers and boot cuffs were all gorgeous, soft, fit well, and were packaged beautifully.
So, I have worn "frilly" socks for years, but never had I received as many compliments as I have wearing Catherine Cole's socks. While teaching 17 year olds Hamlet: "Is she wearing those to create a "Shakespeare" vibe?" In Sun Valley Idaho at an art festival: "Did you get those cute socks here? Which booth?" Sitting at a reggae concert on Mont Tremblant, Canada, a sweet lady in mellifluous French intoned what I only presumed was a compliment as she pointed to my socks and smiled? I smiled back, and said--in English--"I know. Aren't they cute? I get so many compliments on these." By the way, the pair I was wearing then was at least 5 years old. So, I just updated my supply of lacey socks, purchased a few more as presents, and expect more compliments.
Clearly, these socks not only look great, but also precipitate cross cultural relationships.

Just an FYI for people who have large calves: The Frozen Button Down Legwarmers will show gaps between the buttons. Besides that, I really loved the merchandise.
